About VirtualBox
Open source virtualization tool that enables users to run multiple operating systems, such as windows, and Macintosh on one machine.
Variety of options to handle peripherals and networking. API allows interaction with other build products (Vagrant, Terraform, Puppet), which is great for keeping images current.
Sometimes, virtual operating system gets stuck and we have to restart the virtual box again to make it work.

Bridging Real and Virtual Worlds with VirtualBox
Comments: Overall, I am extremely pleased with VirtualBox. He can do everything that is expected of him and everything he promises, completely and properly.
Pros:
What I like most about VirtualBox is that it can run smoothly and without burdening the local system. Besides, its free configurability is also a very nice thing.
Cons:
I think my least favorite part is that sometimes there are points in the configuration settings that I have difficulty understanding.

VirtualBox review
Comments: Free Opensource & Multi platform application for managing and deployment of Virtual machines. No matter if a new OS inside your main system or virtualize your own computer and use it as a Sandbox...
Pros:
Easy to deploy new machines in no mater what your original desktop system comes from; you can virtualize a bunch of Linux, MacOS, Windows machines and ChromeOS & Android too!
Cons:
In a Windows Server environment, the Virtual machines can't start when booting the main Server OS (only after you login with Administrator credentials) and you need the help of third party programs to do that. In Linux environment is easier to deploy thanks to Cron.
VirtualBox: A Free and Powerful Virtualization Solution
Comments: As for my overall experience with oracle virtual box, it is literally positive with its ease of use, versatility, powerful features, cross-platform compatibility, free at no cost and open-source.
Pros:
I like most about oracle virtual box are 1. ease of use with user-friendly interface, simple to setup and manage VMs. 2. compatibility with a wide range of guest operating systems and host platforms. 3. the availability of virtual box is free at no cost and its open-source are highly valued.
Cons:
I dislike about virtual box is graphics performance within guest operating systems can be a particular area of concern.
Cannot be taken as a professional tool
Comments: Since I was an student this has been the same tool, around 5 years ago. I hasn't evolved and introduced up to date features
Pros:
It's free to use and offers basic Virtual machine configurations
Cons:
I'm not able to do a lot of things that many other virtual machine managers can.
Alternatives Considered:
The most convenient and feature rich visualization software package
Comments: Allows me to create separate secure virtual environments for various testing and user oriented applications without being tied to any specific hardware which makes migration and distribution very easy and convenient. I've been using the system for years and have been very satisfied with the performance, features and ease of use.
Pros:
A cost effective solution for running multiple virtual machines and OSes. Great for testing and using various operating OSes while using shared hardware. Easy to set up and maintain. Very useful for creating remotely accessible virtual environments for multiple users. Easy local and remote backups and rollback functions. Very convenient and customizable management interface.
Cons:
The only thing that I would like to be implemented in future versions would be integrated multiple cloud platform synchronization and management but there are plenty of 3rd party applications that accomplish the year so not really much of an issue but would be convenient to have everything in a single integrated package.
VirtualBox is one of the best virtualization solutions in the market
Pros:
It is compatible with almost every simple operating system and has a clear, easy-to-use user interface.
Cons:
It takes a while to receive new updates.

Oracle VirtualBox: Basic OS Virtualization that needs Improvement
Comments: Good experience but definitely would use VMWare for professional virtualization tasks.
Pros:
I used VirtualBox to run Linux and Windows OSes on top of my OSX MAC for the sake of testing networking and database software and for developing client/server applications. The nice thing about VirtualBox is its free license that makes it a cost-effective choice for users who want to test with new OSes and software. The virtualization performance is decent with some lagging when testing newer versions of Linux with more advanced GUI desktops. Definitely VirtualBox has a lot of limitations that I will mention in the Cons sectionl
Cons:
Many limitations make VirtualBox lag behind its main competitor VMWare Fusion (on a MAC) or VMWare Workstation (on Windows). The USB support is not enabled and requires a lot of configuration to make it work. The installation of the VM tools to provide a better resolution to the guest OS is also not that intuitive. This makes VMWare a much better alternative for serious developers/testers. The networking support also has some bugs especially when using the NAT network feature.

Thinking Outside the Box: Virtualization with VirtualBox
Comments: As someone who enjoys developing mobile games with Android but preferring Apple hardware, I've found VirtualBox to be an incredibly useful tool. It's saved me a lot of money by allowing me to test my games on multiple virtual environments without having to purchase additional hardware.Altogether, I would highly recommend VirtualBox to anyone looking to create and manage virtual environments, especially if you're interested in developing mobile games using different hardware, or if you are looking for a solid playground for your software projects.
Pros:
I've found VirtualBox to be a powerful and versatile tool for developing Android apps and creating custom operating systems. It's flexibility and free-access allowed me to test my applications on multiple environments without having to purchase additional hardware, and thus saved me a lot of time and especially money!
Cons:
As someone who has used VirtualBox for various projects, I've come across a few cons worth noting. Firstly, the limited support for 2D/3D graphics can be a hindrance for developers working on graphics-intensive applications like mobile-games. Secondly, I've experienced occasional stability issues when running complex virtual environments or multiple virtual machines simultaneously. However, these kind of issues can be resolved by using VirtualBox Enterprise for little money.
Running Virtual Machines with VirtualBox
Comments: I've been using VirtualBox to run virtual machines to deploy web apps and other software.
Pros:
Features to import and export virtual machines, check logs for errors, running multiple virtual machines at the same time.
Cons:
Since VirtualBox runs virtual machines, it consumes more resources and my device got slower when using it.
Hosting with VirtualBox
Comments: I've been using VirtualBox for a couple of months and I can say it's really fast, doesn't consume much resources (I use a laptop).
Pros:
It's fast, the installation process is not complicated, full of resources and documentation.
Cons:
Some virtual machines failed and the logs were not helpful at all, didn't describe or provide extra information about the error.
VirtualBox makes virtualization effortless
Comments: Using VirtualBox on my desktop to run both Windows and Linux has been an incredibly enjoyable experience. It provided me with a seamless and efficient way to immerse myself in the world of Linux programming for an extended period. With VirtualBox, I effortlessly created and managed virtual machines, switching between Windows and Linux environments at will. This flexibility allowed me to work on diverse projects, develop, and test software in different operating systems, all within the convenience of a single machine. The user-friendly interface and ease of use made the transition between these environments a breeze, and the ability to snapshot and clone VMs simplified my development workflow. VirtualBox truly became my go-to tool for exploring the Linux realm while maintaining my Windows environment.
Pros:
With VirtualBox, I can easily run both Windows and Linux on my computer as a virtualization solution that works seamlessly. With few resources, a test environment may be quickly and easily configured and operational. Also, lacks many of the complex and needless requirements that I have observed in other programs. The good thing about VirtualBox is that most users find it to be a cost-effective option because to its free license.
Cons:
Regarding this product, I have nothing but positive things to say. Any problems I run into are simple to handle.
Virtualization done right
Comments: Experience has been great. Everything I wanted to virtualize I have done it with sucess.
Pros:
Ease of use, great perfomance everything that a virtualization app needs you habe it with Virtualbox. I have Linux, Windows, Free-bSD, router apps and everyrhing works great.
Cons:
The only real Con I could say and maybe its just me is the facts that I have is not being able to run it with secure boot enabled. Other than that never had a complaint.
VirtualBox Review
Comments: My overall experience with VirtualBox has been really great, management of instances without downtime has been one of the benefits i enjoy.
Pros:
What I like the most about Virtual Box is the ability to maintain two instances of virtual machines isolated from one another, That's just the best and the configuration management of the instances is just splendid.
Cons:
I think more hardware integrated with the host machine could be worked on.
Easy to tool for testing Applications or Software
Comments: For a Self testing at home, or a quick set up for work testing, VirtualBox is easy to get up and running on your current system without needing a bare bones system for install and setup
Pros:
Easy to use UI. Easy to get start with creating the needed VM setup for your testing with Windows and Unix OSes
Cons:
Against services like Proxmox or VMware, there is a lot that is wanted for a hypervisor. And does require a UI for most deployments for handling the VMs
A virtualization powerhouse
Comments: VirtualBox is a solid tool for virtualization, allowing us to run and distribute entire Linux boxes to our students or other researchers easily.
Pros:
It was effortless to set-up machines using wildly different Linux distributions and Windows versions. Seldomly crashing and able to run heavy workloads with simulated peripherals, VirtualBox is my go-to choice for virtualization.
Cons:
It would be nice to be able to change all hardware parameters of the machine at runtime, though it is a rather rare requirement.
VirtualBox should be mentioned on all blog articles talking about the "Must have" software
Comments: I have old software that are incompatible with Windows version beyond 8 and by creating virtual machines that allow me to run old software, I have found a solution.
Pros:
The fact that it works and it is also free to use really boggles my mind. This is a very stable product and I am happy with it.
Cons:
I'm hoping one day the team will release a version for the Apple M1 chip because sometimes, I have to use a Mac.
VirtualBox
Comments: Very helpful
Pros:
in our business we have to use one system called ERP , works in windows 7 so instead of rebooting a new laptop with a different Windows we only use virtual box .
Cons:
every aspect of the application was so good . so far i don't think there is anything wrong with the app
VirtualBox to Run Outdated Software
Pros:
It was very helpful for running a program that would not operate on newer operating systems.
Cons:
In my job function, its use was very limited. It was used solely to run a single program that was no longer supported by newer operating systems. From what I remember, outside of the application that we used it for, it would run nothing else so its usability seemed limited by that, though that is just my experience.
Virtual Box is simply exceptional!

VirtualBox - virtualisation on the go
Comments: been using for years to build test boxes / closed networks and using it with vagrant is just so easy.
Pros:
it will install on virtually any OS. Can spin up a vm and test on my laptop whilst on the go.
Cons:
bit clunky at times, dependent on host, but really not much I do not like for what I use it for.
Yet Another Virtual Machine in a Minute
Pros:
The set-up is easy for everybody. I needed several clicks and started to operate a virtual machine in my hardware. I was able to test and experiment critical and risky commands of Linux before production environment.
Cons:
The movement is slow. It costs not a few amount of memory.
