About Google Sheets
Online spreadsheet making tool that helps in creating, editing & sharing spreadsheets in real-time through any PC, mobile or tablet.
Even greater is that since a sheet file can be uploaded in Google Cloud, then sharing the file and having the file available for all tech supports across the university.
I hate that there is no customer support really when you are having an issue and you have to go to the forums.

I Quit Excel!
Comments:
Very pleased with Google Sheets, we use it daily , we integrate it in many business operations its part of the ecosystem.
Great software, free and lightweight.
Ticks all the boxes.
the new updates with some AI integration are cool too!
Pros:
we've used Excel for years, it being the industry standard somehow, we found Google Sheets way better. Lightweight No setup required FREE! Easy collaboration - you just need a Google account. Third party apps and Google App Scripts, to further create custom functions. It's portable and available on cloud. one more thing, the UI is clean, you do not get lost and the function names make sense.. try that with Excel! good luck!
Cons:
Only thing i could think of from past experience, wish we could Lock or Disable "editors" from downloading or exporting the sheet.
Google Sheets excels over other spreadsheet options
Comments: I use Google Sheets almost exclusively over Excel as it is more user friendly. I use it for my yearbook class so I can sort students, buyers, track sales and tasks. I love how I can color in cells if items are marked.
Pros:
Google Sheets is a lifesaver for several of my classes. I am able to track data in an organized and efficient manner. The formulas are so easy to incorporate to track various things.
Cons:
One of the main drawbacks for Google Sheets is combining cells such as first & last names without deleting the information in the rest of the cells. There was an add on that would do this, but it needs to be incorporated as a default option.
Google sheets
Comments: With Google Sheets I create new spreadsheets, I share spreadsheets and collaborate with my co-workers, I work anywhere, anytime. I open, edit and save Excel files. I can add easily co-workers in my projects and I analyze data from other business.
Pros:
What did I like most about Google Sheets is that I found everything I need with one click on any device with internet connection.
Cons:
What did I like least about Google Sheets is that are several functions that remain stuck.
Alternatives Considered:
Forget about Microsoft Excel
Comments: Perfect, I use sheets in so many different ways for so many different workflows that it is even difficult to summarize.
Pros:
I like how easy it is to not only use it as a spreadsheet, but also integrate with any Google Suite product, or even use it as a full-fledged app with an embedded script
Cons:
Could use some of the more advanced tools excel has, such as using VBA scripts
Alternatives Considered:
Coach's Life Saver
Comments: I use Sheets outside of my day job and the functionality is the same as Excel. I use it to track business finance, student details, Ah and exporting results from Google Forms is a very helpful function.
Pros:
It's easy to use and I can whip up the app on my mobile from anywhere to access my sheets. In my coaching role this is especially helpful.
Cons:
I haven't identified any cons in approx. five years of use.

The Backbone of my Business
Comments: Overall, as a newer business, Google sheets helps me stay organized and grow.
Pros:
I like the Google sheets can be used for very basic tasks or very complex, using formulas. I love that it’s web based so other parties can collaborate.
Cons:
I wish I knew more about formulas and how to use them.
Alternatives Considered:
One of the best spreadsheet application
Pros:
Great functionality and capabilities. You can also interconnect different GSheets using functions to import data. The ease of collaborating live is also a great functionality.
Cons:
Some limitations with the size of data some functions can handle.
Google Sheets - Excellent spreadsheet software
Comments: I use Google Sheets in many ways and integrate it within Google Drive and Google Classroom. It is easy to share with others to view, and share with others to collaborate in real time. Formulas work well with Google Sheets too.
Pros:
Google Sheets is easy to use, functions similarly to Excel, free to use, integrates easily with Google products, shares easily with others to view or collaborate.
Cons:
Google Sheets operates primarily in the cloud, so no internet can be detrimental.
Full-featured Spreadsheet for Free
Comments: In general, I am satisfied. Differences between our desktop spreadsheet tool and Google sheets are minimal.
Pros:
As a small business, free tools that actually work are easy on the budget.
Cons:
We use LibreOffice for our desktop spreadsheets and upload them to our Google drive. Not everything translates and some re-working is inevitable.
Alternatives Considered:
Give Google sheets a try
Comments: Great experience , google keeps getting better and getting on updates.
Pros:
Integrates with other software, very similar on what you need with Microsoft excel.
Cons:
Time to learn since it's unique, some parts of configurations can become complex.
Necessary for the Writing Business
Comments: I was hesitant to switch to sheets since I was a long-term Excel user. However, a friend convinced me to make the switch so that I could help her with planning some social media posts for her business. Once I got started, I found that I liked how intuitive everything felt. I decided to use Sheets instead of Excel for plotting my novels after getting some experience with it. I find that it is quicker for me to chart everything I want to write. Also, it is easy to share my documents with other users, which is essential for me and my alpha reader. I will absolutely keep using Google Sheets and highly recommend making the switch if you're struggling with Excel.
Pros:
Google Sheets is easy to use - even easier than Microsoft Excel. In fact, it is the better option since the documents you create can easily be shared and edited by others. As a writer, I like creating plot outlines in Sheets. It makes the plotting process that much more coherent for me. And having it auto-save is fantastic.
Cons:
The only thing I noticed with Sheets is that it can sometimes be a bit slow to load. But, once it it is loaded, Sheets scrolls fluidly.

Google Sheets made wait time at Court Productive Again
Comments: When searching for a word processor suite to use on my new tablet, I rediscovered the G-Suite of products. I had some administrative documents for client and project tracking that needed to be drafted and could never find the time while sitting at my desk. Now, when I have similar projects, I schedule time to work on them while sitting at court waiting for my case to be called or when parked in front of the t.v. binge watching " Insert Title Here". I am satisfied with the product on mobile and will continue to use it for the foreseeable future.
Pros:
Let's be honest, running a business is about bottom line. The entry version of Google Sheets is free! I searched a few other products and own a license for another, but did not want to purchase an additional license at the time. But the Pros do not stop at price tag. The program is cloud serviced and is synced with "free at basic level" cloud storage (storage can be shared/synced with multiple devices and collaboration is possible). Productivity and ease of sharing is great.
Cons:
Functionality is a bit clunky on a tablet device without a mouse requiring multiple taps to get cell edit options to appear and requiring selection of a "completed" button to close the edits. Also, I have poked around with the software a bit, but have not found an easy way to drag/drop files to my desktop if I have not downloaded the Google Drive (Back Up and Sync) program. This can be a Con when you utilize Drive for personal docs and pics and want to download files from a separate cloud folder.
Makes My Life Easy
Comments: I am using this everyday to keep up with my daily and weekly schedule, for parties and many more other things. I've been using this for more than 5 years now. It's always been my companion on planning things ahead.
Pros:
It's so easy to use. and super user friendly. I am using this everyday for my personal weekly planner. I am using it for my to-do list, My Christmas card address list, Christmas gifts list, My party planning list, Pot luck parties, Baby showers, monthly budget and for many more things. It makes my life easy that I have everything in my life planned using the Google Sheets. I have it in my smart phone too. so where ever I go, I have everything I need like I have a notebook in my hand. And I can share my plans with the people I want with just one share button. I can always download the sheets and I can print my plans whenever I need. And I can edit, share and access the sheets on the go and even work offline. It's so easy and it makes me feel good.
Cons:
Actually, I haven't found anything I like least about this software. I love all the features and the ease of use.

The best spreadsheet online :D
Comments: I honestly don't even use Microsoft Excel anymore, since it's a great value for the price of free and it does everything Excel does and you can coillaborate with others.
Pros:
How robust it is for an online application and how good it can handle complex formulas and allow you to online-share and live work with coworkers when analyzing data. Also the options to export it as an .xls and mobile app offerings that can allow me to keep track of the ranges of application data I need to use. You can share the links with permissions and if you're in a group/organization you can also keep the files safe for coworkers. Exporting is great too for working with Excel and same with importing excel documents.
Cons:
Sometimes the mobile offering can lack a bit. It's mostly based for basic data viewing and nothing too heavy and complex. Same with trying to open the link on an mobile phone. If there's a lot of tabs with data, it can be really laggy and take a while to load. Also sometimes importing stuff from Excel won't show appropiately because they are Microsoft propietary so keep in mind when importing excel spreadsheets.

Best Way to Collaborate on your Sheets
Comments: Its easy and free (for personal use) which makes its one of the best products out there. So far I have been using all the G-Suite products extensively and it as been a great experience.
Pros:
The ease of being able to share and work together on the same sheet with your team members is the best feature of this product. Not to mention the value for money that it provides
Cons:
I feel that it could use some additional formatting features to help with reporting and analytics, vlookup, etc
Sheets, not the new excel, but still great for collobration
Comments: Generally, it has been a positive experience. I like that everything is interconnected, and available wherever I am. My biggest pet peeve was getting an excel document on my Mac, and not having excel to open it with! Now, i can open anything, anywhere. Personally, i use sheets for budgeting, forms, and much more. I like that i can have two separate accounts, switch seamlessly between them, and still have everything i need at my fingertips.
Pros:
The ability to have real-time back and forth while in a spreadsheet has been a sought after tool - and Sheets, thankfully, makes it pretty easy! My company is fully on the drive for email, slides, folder management, and storage, so using sheets was a no brainer. I love that I can link to other documents (great for OKRs and other larger initiatives) and I love that we can collaborate back and forth, and see who is in the document and who isn't. Version control has also been incredibly helpful when we had an accidental deletion of data. Mostly, I like that it is a quick integration with all my other tools for work, and lives in the same space.
Cons:
I will say, it is a change. If you are used to excel, then there are frustrating differences. One that boggles me is the filtering capability. I feel as though it is over-engineered. I also miss some of the shortcuts I have known to love in Excel, that do not work as well in Sheets (ie: adding a simple filter). Another con would be the formulas - although I believe they have started updating this. In Excel, when you start a formula, it will give you the instructions on what next pieces to pull in - I would expect the same from Sheets, but find that at times, it is missing (meaning I head into excel to pull the process, then recreate in sheets - that is no good). There are other formatting issues that I miss from excel (ie: the ability to indent text on a specific cell) - sheets, bring that to life please!
Spreadsheets Cascading Faster & Greater Functionality
Comments: My overall experience with Google Sheets began tentatively. I was using a One-Write Accounting System, and then switched to MYOB. While MYOB was more feature rich, what the CPA requires from us is more than met by Google Sheets' features. Over time, it's been possible to switch our entire disbursements into Google Sheets - something I can then simply 'share' with my CPA. A breeze!
Pros:
What I like most about Google Sheets is its ongoing development. Already easy to use, Google Sheets continuously upgrades functionality. I've been in construction for over 50 years, beginning with accounting books with double entry and lots of tedium about them. Now, it's possible to simply paste a statement from either the bank or the credit card company directly into the disbursement spreadsheet that I've built using Google Sheets. Each month I spend less than an hour at accounting work that formerly took endless amounts of detailed work. Excellent!
Cons:
I'm an Apple Computer user, and the unfriendliness between Apple & Google sheets is sometimes annoying. Nevertheless, workarounds are easily enough achieved...

Always Where I Am
Comments: Overall, I have great experiences with using Google Sheets. The collaboration tools, formulas, charting, and flexibility in having the sheets always available regardless of my device make them a crucial part of keeping my business successful.
Pros:
Sheets provides me the flexibility to maintain project tasks in an easily to use format. I have built sheets to keep track of common milestones and the ability to easily duplicate sheets for new projects makes them a plus. Then, I have restricted cells for user input and allow my clients to provide feedback and details that help maintain project timelines. Being able to share the sheets easily is always an added bonus!
Cons:
I have not found a feature of the software that I do not particularly like. In the years of use, I've been able to accomplish everything needed. I've built complex formulas and sheet mappings that always work without a problem.
A free spreadsheet app with Google's intuitive user interface
Comments: Very convenient to use especially when there is a need for collaborating with others.
Pros:
The application is not intimidating unlike other similar apps with many overwhelming features and options. For a beginner who is new to spreadsheets, Google sheets is perhaps the easiest app to get started. This Google Docs family app is free to use and supports all the necessary features that the popular market leading apps have. The user interface is minimal, intuitive and easy to use. Sharing feature allows collaborating with others over the Internet and real-time editing. Features associated with collaboration includes commenting and assigning, edit history, specific cell range for specific collaborators etc. The sheets are automatically saved and the version history allows to rollback to previous versions instantly. The pivot table features are less confusing when compared to other apps. Also inserting formulas in easy with suggestions from the app itself. Another feature is the ability to links different documents. For example, data from Google sheets can be included in Google docs which gets automatically updated with any changes in the sheets. Additional features and functionalities can be added with plugins and by using Apps Script to write custom logic. Another cool feature is using Google sheets as database for static webpages. Data can be loaded from Google sheets with the help of a few JavaScript codes.
Cons:
For those who are used with other popular spreadsheets applications, Google sheets may not be suitable because they might find some advanced features missing. However, Google Sheets is being updated with new features occasionally.
Google Sheets Is My Go To Tool For EVERYTHING
Comments: By far the best product on the market. I use Google Sheets for EVERYTHING. From lists for work to organizing things within my personal life.
Pros:
This product is seamless. Being able to live update documents with a team is a game changer. Comparing to other options on the market, this is by far the easiest to use.
Cons:
I would say the only thing I would like improved on this program is the process for sharing under different accesses. If I have multiple people I only want to be able to view, and others I want to be able to edit, the process of having to invite them each individually is tasking. I love the option to share the document via a link but it doesnt allow you to change the access for different links. If you change the settings it changes them for all unless you have granted them access specifically.
Love Google Sheets paired with Google Drive
Comments: This allows me to increase productivity for the business. I can work from anywhere I have a spare moment. Updating spreadsheets on the go. If I can’t make it to the gym, I can update a workout in the spread sheet on my phone which my partner can immediately access at the gym from the iPad and display on monitor for athletes arriving thanks to sheets paired with google drive. We are a small operation and any additional cost, however small, is a big deal. Even if I had the resources, I can not see paying for Excel when Sheets meet and exceed my expectations! Again learning curve is small and intuitively obvious especially if you are a user of Excel
Pros:
Google sheets is free, easy to use and with google drive I can use it across all my tech phone, computer and iPad! It is similar enough to Microsoft Excel that the learning curve is small. One of the best things is how easy it is to use paired with Google Drive. I can up date sheets on my phone, computer or iPad and the change is universal. If I am at the doc office with time to spare. I can write a program on my phone. Then go to gym and access it on my computer to display on big screen or make modifications via my iPad or computer. I can update a sheet and allow my partner to see changes and he can make adjustments to the sheet if necessary. I am an athletic performance coach and personal trainer. I use it write my workouts, keep up with athletes assessments and measurements. Use formulas to calculate stats, BMR, calories, etc. it has become a crucial part of how I run my personal business.
Cons:
There are a few nuances that are not intuitively obvious compared to using Excel. I had trouble freezing 2 columns etc the way I would in excel. The minor inconveniences are small compared to the great savings and the flow between google software products that make this software a tool that I would not want to give up!
Shift to Sheets!
Comments: Analyzing data, creating charts and brilliant graphs, using add-ons to do even more incredible things from the spreadsheet.
Pros:
Sheets is a great option for spreadsheeting, data management, and analysis. Since it's cloud-based, you need not worry about losing it, forgetting to save, etc. - it's always there in the cloud, constantly saving, and available anytime, anywhere, on any device. Next, it's logically arranged and has a user-friendly interface. Being a part of the G Suite platform (Google Apps), it comes free with your Drive/Gmail account, so there's no need to download any software, purchase anything - it's available free of charge. Sheets has the ability to do the almost every analysis you'll need. Lots of advanced functions and calculations are built into the platform. What I've been most impressed with recently is the "Explore" and insert graph features - it's very intuitive. Sheets does a good job of "guessing" the best way to display chart data into the form of a graph. And even if you don't like the bar, pie, line graph it creates, you can easily change it with just a few clicks. In my opinion, Sheets is the easiest spreadsheeting platform that I've used when it comes to graph creations. Beyond that, the add-ons available through the G Suite Marketplace give Sheets "superpowers." Consider exploring Autocrat, FormMule, Flubaroo, and RowCall just to name a few. Each of these add-ons were created by independent developers and allow the spreadsheet to accomplish even more! An awesome feature!
Cons:
I have few complaints really, but some users have complained that Sheets lacks some of the heavy-lifting capabilities of other spreadsheet platforms. I would disagree, and suggest that you just need to explore a bit more and consider using an add-on. There are also hundreds of YouTube videos and posts that explain how to accomplish goals that you may be struggling to achieve. Another limitation with the software is that the amount of Sheets you can produce or data you can store may be limited by the size of you Google Drive account, which will require a monthly payment. I feel that Google's prices are worth it, though.
Google Sheets: A User Friendly Experience
Comments: Google Sheets has allowed me to be more efficient with my grading. As a classroom teacher, grading can take up a lot of time and become overwhelming. Google Sheets has solved this problem for me and allowed me to create a system that is tailored made to meet my exact needs. Our budgeting has also improved significantly. In the past, everything was kept track on paper with lots of missed items and deadlines. With using Google Sheets and the "shared" option, we no longer have these problems.
Pros:
Google Sheets is very user friendly. I use it for a couple of activities in my classroom. My first main use is using it as a grade book. I have created different tabs for each subject area. I then went through and set up each section with each assignment that I wanted to track the data on. I used the conditional formatting feature so that everything is automatically color coded as it is entered. This allows me to instantly see which students are falling behind and which assignments are missing. I like this better than other online gradebook options, because I have complete control over everything that is set up and entered. This did take significant time to set up, but the great thing about it is that I can now copy over the same Google Sheet each year and reuse it. This has ended up saving me lots of time as I prepare progress reports and report cards as well. The other main way that I use Google Sheets is as a budgeting tool. I help organize the budget for my grade level team. We have each section of our budget prepared on a different tab. We set up columns to keep track of the expenses ahead of us and ones that have already been processed. Perhaps the best feature is that we have this as a "shared" sheet. So everyone on the team has access to the sheet and can edit it. This helps to create a level of transparency and tracking which has been very helpful for our team.
Cons:
Overall, there is very little about Google Sheets that is not useful. Like similar products, there is a small learning curve depending on your experience with the product. However, any problem that I have had, I have simply searched for a YouTube video on the issue and I have easily found guidance to fix it.
Simple but very useful tool
Comments: Overall it was pretty nice. For instance, I created a detailed daily status sheet using the formulas etc. with help of this google sheets and shared the link with management once. And then, it was so easy to make slight changes in the sheet at end of day as per the status and everybody can quickly get the update of the status instantly. It was so easy and time saving.
Pros:
Feature that the online sheets can be shared with anyone (without permission you can't even view the sheet) and you can customize the rights of each user as per the need is the most valuable one for me. Additionally multiple users can view/edit the sheet simultaneously. We use the google sheets daily in various areas like automation, reports, daily statuses etc. It's easy to use and definitely makes life a lot simpler but it doesn't have all the features of Microsoft excel. So, if you are looking for a substitute for excel the google sheets are not for you. Although it has all the basic features of excel. Another feature which I love about google sheets is, it is saved automatically as you do changes to drive. So, you don't have to explicitly save the changes or worry that the data will be lost if you forgot to save or if system crashes (which happens!). Next great feature is version control. It maintains the versions. If somebody made changes to you document and you want to see the original document, you can always get that from the previous version as google sheets maintains version of the document. This is really helpful if the sheet is shared with multiple people and they all are making changes. You can always restore the version you required. To sum up, google sheets is a great online tool which offers great features and is easy to use. I would recommend this as it makes life easier for management as well as associates.
Cons:
There's nothing as such to not like about google sheets but it doesn't have all the excel features. In general, it is a great tool which helped me in a lot of projects plus it collaboration is great.
Effortless Spreadsheets with Google Sheets
Comments: I can say that overall, my experience has been very good. I have found the user interface to be very intuitive and easy to use, and the collaboration tools are great for working with colleagues in real-time.I like how spreadsheets can be shared with other users and permissions can be set to control who can edit or view the information. Additionally, the ability to access online means I can work on my spreadsheets from any device with an internet connection, which is very convenient.I have also found that Google Sheets offers a wide range of functions and tools for data analysis and task automation, which has allowed me to work more efficiently and productively. Sometimes, I have experienced speed issues when working with very large spreadsheets, but overall, I am very satisfied with the platform.
Pros:
One of the things I appreciate the most is the real-time collaboration feature. It makes it very easy to share a spreadsheet with team members and allow them to edit it simultaneously, which is very convenient for working on shared projects. In addition, Google Sheets offers a wide range of functions and tools for data analysis and task automation, which allows me to work more efficiently and productively. I also appreciate the ability to integrate my spreadsheets with other Google applications such as Google Forms and Google Calendar, which enables me to collect data and schedule tasks more seamlessly.
Cons:
One area that could be improved is the ability to work with large datasets. While Google Sheets can handle fairly large spreadsheets, it can sometimes be slow or unresponsive when working with many rows or columns. Additionally, when performing complex calculations or using advanced functions, it may be necessary to wait for a prolonged period for the data to be processed.Another area where improvement could be made is in the area of customization. While Google Sheets offers a great deal of tools and functionality, it can sometimes be challenging to customize the appearance of a spreadsheet or create custom templates. I would like to have more options for customizing colors, fonts, and styles of spreadsheets, and I would also like to be able to create custom templates for my specific needs.
