Pros:

As someone who does not specialize in marketing or social media posts this app has been a God-send. It is very easy to use, easy to navigate, and easy to implement.

Cons:

The only defect of this app is for sure that it is not completely free. For those who do not use it professionally or are not yet able to invest money it ends up becoming bad.

Hesitant at first but use Love it now!

5.0 2 months ago

Comments: I will admit I was hesitant to change from the other platforms I'd used off and on for years but as I used Canva I have grown to enjoy it very much. We now have several team members using it almost daily.

Pros:

Very simple to use. They've made some wonderful feature and layout updates recently. I LOVE the templates. Helps make design work quick and simple. The platform is fairly intuitive and simple to learn.

Cons:

I wish there were more keystrokes for more features, like locking assets. It'd be cool if you could create text boxes where text flows through, as in some other design platforms.

Amazing affordable app

5.0 4 months ago

Pros:

I love that Canva has free version Available, and it almost gives you the full experience of canva, you can use it both on mobile and on a PC. it has a variety of pre-designed layouts and templates that you can use to save time and its suitable for all tastes, pictures and graphics quality is high. i love how it has AI tools which you can use in your designs , some of them can even create logos and different elements. you can use it for school presentation, to create videos and reels. It's really the all in one designing app.

Cons:

It's an online graphic design tool so if you don’t have Internet access, you won’t be able to use it. you can't download designs with transparent backgrounds in the free version ( it will be white)

The Best Marketing Tool I Have

5.0 last month New

Comments: Canva has revolutionized marketing for me!

Pros:

Canva has all the features (and then some) of the desktop publishing software we used to have to purchase and is incredibly easy to use. I now exclusively use it for all my promotion needs, including photo editing.

Cons:

I'm not a fan of the new organization of projects, templates, etc. but it's nothing I can't overcome. I preferred to have all my current projects at the top of the queue.

Canva - a Pioneer for the future

5.0 last month New

Comments: Overall, Canva has been great for team usage and digital asset storage with easy access. It makes sending things for clients to review a breeze!

Pros:

Canva makes it easy for our team to put together sneak peek images for clients by having pre-set image folders, templates, and collaboration settings. Additionally, it's new AI background editor makes editing photos and presentations super simple!

Cons:

The integration with PandaDoc has been less than pleasant. Instead of being able to select an existing design from Canva and import it, you have to create a whole new one. OR copy and paste from an existing design which is cumbersome.

Canva is a time-saver + it makes our content look SUPERB!

4.0 last month New

Comments: I used Canva for the first time several years ago when attempting to build some logos for a customer. I was using my iPad and after using it pretty regularly, I ended up getting a laptop and for some reason stopped. In the last year, I have started using Canva again and it is SUCH a time-saver!

Pros:

SO easy to use and it makes our documents and flyers look SUPERB!

Cons:

There doesn't seem to be a filter to narrow down to the free-for-use content.

Comments: I make graphics for our companies and occasionally clients, in a whole variety of capacities. I have used Canva to create newsletter graphics, social media posts for Twitter, Facebook, Pintrest, Tumblr, Instagram, and Reddit, brochures for products or services, infographics for conferences, and more.

Pros:

I have been using Canva since I began teaching myself to make graphics over two years ago. It has served me well in both simple projects (like graphics for social media) or full-on gif animations. They continually add new features and content and are always revamping the suggestions for "fresh" ideas. It's also super easy to share your project to other people or places, and you have quite a few download options for your files. And it is SUPER easy to use, the user interface is very intuitive and if you have questions their docs are great!

Cons:

I have very few complaints, and the ones I have are pretty niche issues. Systematically I don't see issues at all! But sometimes it can be hard to format a picture correctly due to their "snapping" feature that snaps whatever element you're using to the nearest part of the picture the program "thinks" you want to use. For example, if you try and move a circle to a centimeter away from the middle of the graphic you're creating, it will automatically center itself and won't let you un-center it without an enormous amount of fuss. But this is minor and doesn't really happen often for me!

Canva is the reason for my marketing career!

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: As a Marketing major, you would think I would choose some sort of "fancy" software that cost a lot of money to create marketing material for our company but I have stuck with Canva since my first class project in 2013 to now. Canva is my go to software when I need to get something done quickly but it needs to look clean, crisp and professional. I could go on and on about Canva but to put it simply, if you need to create GREAT marketing material or even if you just want to make something that looks nice just because, this is what you should use!

Pros:

Canva is such an easy product to use and anyone can do it. I'm talking ages 6 years old to 99 years old can figure out how to create something awesome and super professional. I love the layout of Canva and how quickly you can find what you are looking for in the search function. If you are looking for a specific shape graphic to add onto your design, all you have to do is type it in. I also love all of the templates that are offered and that can help spark your creative thinking, especially if you're stuck and can't come up with an idea!

Cons:

There's nothing bad I can say about Canva at all. They even have a mobile app which I use constantly for our social media page!

Canva Made Me Uninstall The Most Popular Vector Design Tool

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: I am working as a content marketer. Since my agency is very small, I manage all the stuff alone. From writing content to designing graphics and to marketing them. For the jack of all trades, like me, an intuitive tool is needed that requires a little learning curve to get the things done quickly. Canva is such a kind of tool. When a friend of mine told me about this, I thought it would be yet another fancy editing app just for social media. But I was completely wrong. This is a professional tool and it has a bunch of features. Once, I believed that graphic design is not possible without using the so-called vector design tools like Illustrator. They are indeed more advanced for gigantic production houses. But, for small marketing agencies like me, Canva is more than enough. The main thing I liked about this tool is the power of its free version. No other tool is offering such flexibility in the free version. It's enough for personal usages. And, you won't have to face any watermark issues. Although, I have subscribed to the yearly plan and I am loving it.

Pros:

The first and foremost benefit of this tool is easy to use UI. The traditional design tools, even in this modern era, could not implement a modern user interface. Although they have a lot of features, they are cluttered with unnecessary things in the UI. This makes a new person like me totally frustrated. Canva is very easy to use with a lot of free templates. And, if you subscribe to the premium plan you are getting a lot more. Design tools like Photoshop and Illustrator require a lot of processing power and storage space. Do you know what is the most interesting thing? I can create a design with Canva while I am commuting on my 4 years old iPad! The inbuilt image and elements library is a great feature. I don't like searching for elements on Google and then include those in my design. Rather I just type what kind of image I need in the Canva search bar and 90 percent of the time I get that. Although, you can always upload your own photos to it. A good design requires good typefaces. The Canva font library is adequate for that. There are a lot of free fonts for you to try out in your design. Did I just forget to mention motion graphics? There are a lot of motion graphics templates too for creating engaging content for social media.

Cons:

I am using Canva for a long time. It's improving day by day. I don't think anyone will be able to mention any cons of this tool. However, certain things should be improved. For example, the image library should be enriched. If they can introduce the support for vector files it would be awesome. I hope the Canva team will come with more features that will help content marketers like me.

If You're Thinking About Using Canva - Just Do It! It's Amazing!

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Im sure I could go on and on about Canva, heck, I even listed some more positive notes about Canva in the Cons section. But ultimately for me it comes down to the fact that I don't have to sacrifice any quality in my work or flexibility in my deliverables and exports when using Canva. Yet I gain so much time using it and when it comes to professional graphic design thats everything. One project in particular I recently worked on was a series of short videos for ads for a client and the turnaround on those ads was crazy. If I had to make those videos in any other video editing software it would have taken 5 times as long and I probably wouldn't have met the deadlines. However because Canva has made everything so easy to use I was able to crank out videos so quickly and make edits so quickly without compromising quality. And that was HUGE.

Pros:

I honestly have so many "pros" about Canva that I truly don't know where to start. I have been doing graphic design for 15 years now for all types of businesses and all sorts of projects from print to advertising and I typically use the Adobe software options but for the past 2 years Canva has covered just about 98% percent of what I've needed to do. Here are a few highlights that I love, - The templates for sizing on different platforms such as Facebook headers has become indispensable for me - The huge library of stock material that is SO quick and easy to access - They are now including video options - The content/templates/etc. is all very high quality and up to date - They have awesome "moving photos" for social posts. - The way you can resize a design for multiple export options is amazing. I often find myself wanting that in Adobe products. I could keep going. The resizing feature alone was enough for me to use the pro version but everything about Canva is top notch and I always find new things they have added to the platform that make life for a designer so much easier. It is a go-to platform for me and my team.

Cons:

I really don't have much negative to say about Canva. The only thing I can really say negatively about it is the file organization. I wish that was better, however, I may be doing it wrong and there may be a better way. Other than that I honestly have no criticisms about Canva. I mentioned in the "pro's" section that it covers 98% of my designing needs and that last 2% I honestly never expect a product such as Canva to cover because that last 2% for me is the more extreme in depth edits that Photoshop or Illustrator provide and honestly I am 100% okay with that. It does mean I need both platforms to fully do my job but its worth it because Canva has saved me so much time.

My Daily Branding Tool

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

Everything. I've been using Canva for a long time, starting for when I worked for a non-profit and we needed a cheap graphic design tool. They offered a free pro account to nonprofits so I was sold. Fast forward 2 years and I had built every one-pager, logo, flyer, web graphic + on Canva. Their branding feature makes it too easy to brand every graphic. I filter everything through Canva (labels, stickers) just because it's so dang easy to use. Also, it's where I fell in love with graphics and realized I had a real knack for design. I also thought I was terrible, but Photoshop was just to robust of a learning curve for me. I now use Canva for my personal business daily and I just started using the 'post to pinterest' feature they have. The posting and download in different file types feature is ridiculously time saving.

Cons:

The only thing that comes to mind is when I create multiple graphics in one 'document', and then I go to schedule a post with one of those graphics. You can't go back into that document until it has posted. Although I understand, it does shift how I organize my posts to accommodate this issue.

Great Product

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: This is one of my favourite social tools and I think every business should use it. The free version has a lot to offer and it can be used for a number of applications from flyers to ads to social!

Pros:

I absolutely love this software. I use it multiple times in my day, both on it's own and along with other programs, such as Photoshop. It makes it really easy to create high quality social images and other business designs. It is easy to use and has a number of features including stock imagery, shapes, frames, layouts, fonts, colours etc. It allows you to upload your own images and quickly organize them. I have used both the paid and free versions. Both are great tools and the free version gives you access to more than you need if you are a small business. The paid version allows you to upload your brand elements and gives you access to additional images and icons. I have also used the Canva app which is great for on the go but is not as easy to use, however, it is getting better as they update it. Canva also has several download options and the newest version gives you the option to make basic moving images.

Cons:

I wish there was a better way to organize and manage images and designs. It would be great if I could rename images and organize them within the folders. I also dislike that the image folders have a mass capacity. The Canva app for your mobile device is not as easy to use. While it is helpful for on the go edits and designs I often times find myself limiting my design or pulling out my computer because it is a little too frustrating to use. However, they are making improvements which are making it easier. I wish I could do multiple sizes of a design in one template. Because I resize for all of the different social platforms, I often end up with 3 to 5 of the same image in my design library, all different sizes.

Friendly Neighborhood Graphic Design Hero

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: Overall experience with this software Canva is a great option to create high-impact graphic designs without the hassle of having to know design techniques, purchase high priced design services, or spend a lot of time to create documents. It’s especially useful for businesses because of the versatility of design which can be used to create logos, business documents and more. It’s great for personal use as well! Birthday cards, event invites, and posters, personal documents, resumes can all be created here. The overall experience for a basic user on Canva is exceptional, efficient, and affordable.

Pros:

I ran into Canva on a last minute work assignment to create a flyer for a weekend team-building event! No Pressure. Having very rusty graphic design skills, I knew I couldn’t pull off the project in time if I worked with conventional graphic design software such as Photoshop and Adobe InDesign. I needed a template that was ready-made, great looking, and easy to edit. A quick google search and in stepped Canva. The graphic design software replacement website is a God-sent efficiency machine for those of us who aren’t endowed with creative prowess or those who like to get things done quickly. It has great templates spanning a host of documents, a well-selected collection of vectors, photos, fonts, borders, and more, as well as a great user-friendly interface for easy editing, saving, and downloading. •A variety of templates On the Canva home-page, you are asked: “what would you like to design?” You can type your answer and begin working on a blank document and build up using the site’s design features. Alternatively, Templates are made by other Canva users and you can build upon what they have created. •Well curated design features If you aren’t in a time bind, you can have a bit of fun to really get acquainted with the site’s comprehensive and well-chosen design features. Starting from scratch, you can play around with stock images,

Cons:

•High priced in-app purchases can be a pain if you like the look, but the price is over the top. However, there are plenty of free items that can work the look without the price tag. •Outdated items such as frames, grid-layouts, and icons can use a make-over or additions to update the Canva collection.

The design for all, the best platform.

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: One of the benefits that I have obtained with Canva is the portability that offers me to work, I have been away from home and a client contacts me, thanks to the mobile application of Canva, I have managed to pass a draft to customers who need urgent work . Another benefit is that one of the offices for which I work has implemented Canva as the main tool to change the size of many of the designs I have developed, which gives me more time to serve other clients with greater complexities. It is a graphic resource that I have managed to adapt as an assistant in which my clients leave the ideas that I end up improving to fulfill their interests.

Pros:

As a graphic designer it is an absolute wonder all that Canva has done for many people. In my case, I really liked the possibilities it offers me to provide better care, both to my clients and to the bosses I work with. I like that anyone can take the path to graphic design, I have managed to give classes on how to design using Canva as a basis of work. Also, I like the almost unlimited graphic resources they offer for work. I like very much that based on my designs, my co-workers advance some elements that their departments need. Also, with Canva I can make personalized presentations that give my work a unique style, which has caught the attention of my clients. Another aspect that I liked a lot, is to be able to take my designs, adapting them to new dimensions within the platform, to the universe of social networks, it is amazing.

Cons:

Not at all, it has no negative aspects to highlight, as a graphic designer I have looked for weak elements but so far I do not identify any. On the contrary, it is such an intiutive platform that I even recommend it for the daily use of people.

Graphic Design Simplified

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: Canva solves a lot of design requirements problems & helps in in-housing graphic design for simple daily needs like social media and also presentations. Canva saves time, efforts and money for small and medium businesses that are running social media and some marketing all by themselves / small in-house teams with small budgets. Would say a must-have tool for all size of businesses as well as for personal purposes (will come in handy for all those e-invites, kids craftwork, etc).

Pros:

1. Develop almost all of your creatives required - all by yourself & without any need of hiring an expensive professional designer. 2. Easy to use for most of the simple social media creatives. 3. The free version is good enough for most tasks - but the paid version adds a few features that will make it really good. 4. The new presentations feature is good - make a big push to visually appealing presentation decks - but may not be serious competition to Microsoft PowerPoint - but has features that are not there in PowerPoint. 5. Great Editing features from photo editors, logo makers, etc are very useful and take simple designs a long way. 6. The templates available are there for most of your requirements - they make life very easy and makes your designs look professional.

Cons:

1. Good for beginners and intermediate users - the experts will see a lot of missing features - especially when compared to Photoshop (Illustrator and Corel Draw are way above & are for experts only) which has most design features & has a similar price per month as well. 2. Video editing capability is missing - although they have a GIF capability which can be downloaded as a video file, you can't stake stock videos and edit them o add them to your videos. This is a serious feature missing as video content is the mainstay of most businesses & highly in demand by everybody. 3. There is a learning curve here - this may not be to use the software tool - but for design & creativity itself and the resources available on Canva are limited in this aspect. 4. Limited images available - even the paid ones are not that good - not sure why there is no tie-up with a Shutterstock & the ilk. 5. Sizes for banner ads are very limited - like there are so many ad sizes say for Google Ads which can be made standard (there is a custom dimension - but each time you will have to look up the specs and then create your dimensions).

Cost-effective graphic tool for Marketeers

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: I am extremely satisfied with Canva and my overall experience. I've been using canva for over 5 years now, designing social media posts and banners, posters and other marketing collateral. At the beginning of your paid for service, Canva ask for your brand colours and company logos allowing you to make branded designs very quickly and effortlessly. For those in my team who do not have adequate training or experience on Adobe Indesign for example, Canva has given them enough agency to help advance their design skills overall. It's been a great design tool and instructions are very clear for new users. It is without a doubt, one of my most valuable and most exploited marketing tool that I use.

Pros:

I really enjoy how intuitive this software is. Essentially, it utilised a drag-and-drop format and provides easy access to photographs, vectors, graphics, and fonts. Some of these you may need to purchase, however the cost is similar to what you would pay on Shutterstock. I recommend Canva to my colleagues across Northern Europe as a way to create smart and attractive social media designs on a weekly,if not daily, basis. Another favourite feature of mine is that it allows you to create a wide range of graphics that are especially configured for social media, brochures, infographics, email heads, invitations etc...Canva are also continually updating their templates meaning if you do find making a design daunting, you never have to start from scratch again! A new feature they have added which I like is that you can now download your designs into gifs, videos or animations. They have several options you can choose from, and all work exceptionally well!

Cons:

Very occasionally, the saved output can vary from what I've done in the design- so double check it - which is always recommended anyway! More and more elements seem to have a cost; there definitely used to be many more free images and graphics to use before.

I use Canva for EVERYTHING! Free options are endless!

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Canva has honestly been a lifesaver for my job. I do not have a degree in Advertising or Marketing, but Canva makes all of my work look so clean and professional. They have really put out high quality work and it makes my life easier. I am always the one my co workers come to for any sort of small print project, because Canva has helped me deliver FAST and EASY quality projects. I would say it is ultra user friendly. Whatever you're using now, or if you're looking to use a software, stop right now and just sign up for Canva. I am not kidding you, it will make your life a lot easier. You can literally just use one of their templates if you are not the creative type, or start from scratch on any project. This is a HUGE tool for your personal business or Small Business.

Pros:

I had to take a moment to write a review about Canva Software. I seriously cannot get enough of Canva. I have used Canva for over 2 years and all the options are amazing. I work as a Marketing director for both a catering and event planning company. I create menus, ads, social media posts all through Canva. We are a Small Business and don't have a fancy team creating out content, just me! I've been able to provide consistent quality work that looks professional. I customize each material from beginning to end starting with sizing, font, how much an item is turned, transparency, color, gifs or moving media, to the final print or saving product. You have options to save as PDF, JPG, PNG, Video and more. When you want to add a picture or design, you just search keywords and thousands of neat designs pop up. Not every picture or design is free though. However, THERE ARE A LOT OF GREAT FREE TEMPLATES TO USE! Free options are really endless and I appreciate that. If there is something that does have a watermark, the price to pay isn't that bad either, so it is worth it! I've created simple signs for our restaurants or beautiful eye catching ads for our Social Media platforms. The best part is, I can log into any computer, anywhere, sign in, and all of my creations are saved there. Every new change made to your design is saved automatically every so often, so you don't run the risk of losing changes if you log out. They also have printing options, so that's nice

Cons:

Canva recently started to have moving images as an option. I would say their moving gifs are limited though. I would love see more of those on there. They are eye catching and will help a lot of creative groups, like myself, to put out more awesome content! I have not tried to have something printed by Canva, but they do have the option of having your creation printed. I will be trying some of their prints soon for a personal project. (I'm getting married, so I will be creating my own wedding invitations and save the dates through Canva)

Easy to use design software for amateurs

4.0 4 years ago

Comments: Canva has been an excellent resource that I use regularly in my career. I like that it's a month-by-month payment option so that I can participate in the premium subscription for the months I need it and save cost for my municipality on the months I don't. You need virtually no training to learn how to use this program and the longer you use it, the better designs you are able to produce. Canva is constantly updating and adding new features!

Pros:

I have no design credentials but have needed to create social media graphics for community events. Canva has stepped in to support my lack of training in this area and is so simple to learn, create beautiful graphics and print materials. Their templates are well designed and easy to edit. Their premium suite allows you to set color schemes for your organization and use premium stock images and icons in all of the materials for no additional cost. The ability to add team members to designs so you can work collaboratively is incredibly helpful as well. You are able drag, drop and resize everything so it's incredibly easy to edit the design into the exact style you want. The ability to print at a low cost directly from Canva provides such a streamlining effect. I've printed everything from posters to business cards and I've always been impressed by the packaging and the final product of what I've ordered. There are so many customizations with the style of paper and finishes that it's easy to meet quality standards printing directly from Canva.

Cons:

Every once in a while, I will get a design to exactly where I want it but, when the graphic downloads, text and/or icons will be out of place and misaligned. I have to do trial and error guessing to figure out where to misalign the text/icons on the design so it would download in the proper locations. It's frustrating. Otherwise, I have no complaints.

Canva to paint your online canvass

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Overall, Canva is an awesome platform that has a plethora of functionalities that any newbie or advanced user can take advantage of. I also noticed that it is very compatible with 4 browsers that I've tested it with, which I think is a big plus since it is for online use.

Pros:

I've used this for quite awhile now and this is on top of my list for online multimedia editing and source for Royalty free pictures, videos, and other related templates. I started out with just downloading pictures for me to use on my blog and for a client I'm assisting with website design. The pictures I'm referring to can be filtered through different categories to match the niche of your project. It has high resolution images which makes it very enticing to use. There's no strict permission to use it but I always send a message to the uploader and say my thank you for sharing such nice piece of work, as well as placing credit on my final project output. Because taking a perfect or serene picture takes hard work and a keen eye for details such as lighting, angle, and placement of certain objects to achieve the desired effect. Also, there are sponsored links for stock photos you can use if you can't find what your looking for in their 'default' library. Their video collection is also extensive which is very useful for creating intro videos for social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, etc. In fact, I also use these videos to create a personalized banner and animated gif image which can come handy for some of my future projects. And not only that, the templates are awesome which gives you command of adding text effects, transitions, and splicing.

Cons:

The only minor thing is the inability to use it offline. Although, it is not so impacting because I have installed software to cover that part.

I'm a one person office who needs all the assistance I can get. Canva was a God send for me.

4.0 7 years ago

Comments: Time savings. Cost savings. Low-cost to no-cost illustration and photography selection is huge. User-friendly. From the graphics I created on Canva I've set up a regular posting schedule with another SaaS and now have 10,000 more visitors to my blog since I initiated my new system. Canva has played a big part in this. When I first joined a few years ago, I had a difficulty in applying my payments to the correct business (I had a few at one time) so that I could use the bonus graphics on the right account. That issue was resolved but I thought the people I discussed this with via email could have handled that situation with a bit more clarity. I've operated computer since the 1970's and that little piece confused even me. But, as I said, it was resolved and it's been smooth sailing ever since with me and Canva.

Pros:

Canva is user-friendly. I was able to get signed up and start producing social posts and eCards almost immediately. The multitude of features give me versatility. After I style one social post, I can then resize it to multiple sizes to fit all my social media venues. That is an amazing time saver for me. The variety of free to low cost graphics, both illustrations and photographs, offers a selection that is more plentiful than any service I've used in the past. And the ability to upload and incorporate my own graphics is a gracious and effective feature. Canva is a cost-saving for my home business. Before Canva, I spent a great deal more time creating and styling graphics. I spent a great deal more money on graphics. The one-time fee for an illustration or photograph is a dream come true for me. The Canva blog is full of design suggestions and ideas. It has been a wealth of knowledge for me as a self-taught graphic artist. It's given me ideas and sparked my creativity. The Canva support desk is designed to be user-friendly and is not at all intimidating as some other help desks or forums can be. It has videos and instructions that can make anybody feel like a pro in no time.

Endless Possibilities at Your Fingertips

5.0 last year

Comments: With Canva, I’m able to generate and finalize projects much quicker, easily collaborate and have endless inspiration and possibilities. It’s one of my Happy Places so my work is never boring!

Pros:

I have used a number of design projects but Canva continues to impress me by unleveling their features and functions to make it more robust. I love how easy it is to customize their templates, the autosaving feature, the resizing and the number of designs you can create from just one initial design without having to “reinvent the wheel.” Their virtual conferences are super informative and engaging and I love having my content stored so I don’t have to worry about losing work or progress when on different systems of if a system crashes. It’s basically a super hero as far as quick design concepts go and if you’re creative, you can really customize so nothing feels "cookie cutter-ish”<------—I’m pretty sure that’s not a real word. I also love that I can download files in several different formats and share easily with collaborators.

Cons:

As a designer of color, I was glad to see far more assets being added recently that reflect more a more diverse representation in photos and graphics but I still feel like this area is still lacking, particularly in phots. I have a membership for stock photos so I can find what I need when it’s not on Canva, but it seems they tend to have a fee associated with those of greater quality and/or those that are limited.
