> **Pros**: Ease of sharing documents internally, and externally depending on Org settings and policies. Having native integrations and tie-ins to local file explorer allow ease of use

> **Cons**: From an administrative perspective, it leaves a lot to be desired - especially after working with on premise solutions such as Active Directory, which provides clear and intuitive management of organisational objects and permissions

> It provides great functionality for end users and alleviates some requirement from IT professionals to roll out file sharing resources and platforms. It leaves a lot to be desired in relation to it's 'cousin' - i.e on premise active directory file and user management. It overlaps a lot with Sharepoint functionality and having the sharepoint app renamed some time ago to Onedrive for Business causes a lot of confusion for both end users and junior adminsitrators

> **Pros**: Stored files are really easy to access both using the online portal and via desktop using the OneDrive for Desktop app.&#10;&#10;It is extremely competitively priced within our Microsoft licensing model.&#10;&#10;Uploading data in bulk is really easy using the online portal meaning files can be stored quickly and efficiently.&#10;&#10;Managing stored documents is really easy given the built-in search function with the ability to change search scope from specific folders to the whole tenant (whilst obeying the users access permissions / restrictions)

> **Cons**: Fairly niche, but if two users are access the same document at once for editing, and both save, you end up with two versions of the same document which then need to be manually merged.  Whilst this is preferable to one person losing data, the duplicate file has the machine name suffixed to the end (i.e. Document-MyMachine.docx) which could be a data privacy concern.

> Really powerful business tool which we incorporated into our day-to-day operation to remove reliance on On-Prem server hardware for data storage, really easy to dictate which files / storage buckets are within scope (e.g. we do not upload / backup Downloads folder)

> **Pros**: We use this everyday as a virtual tool for different people in the business to access shared files and as well as different teams to upload any files that are relevant to theem so they can all be downloaded from OneDrive as opposed to be saved on each desktop. This also means documents being used are the most current as only the updated are stored here and no-on is using anything that is out of date. It is simple to use and we have different folders for teams and for shared documents. It is easy to search within one folder or just the entire One Drive itself. We have a lot saved onto there and the question of storage had never arisen, neither has the need to contact customer service.

> **Cons**: The main issues we have with OneDrive are internal. I guess on occasion someone has accidentally saved a change (as when you close the document it sdaves) but that is why we keep back ups.

> **Pros**: OneDrive enables incredibly easy storing and sharing files which comes handy especially if most of your work is with Microsoft products. Device to device syncing works without any hiccups and with SharePoint, Teams and Office apps, you get a very nice flow of work for single and group projects. Being able to see past versions is a great feature you can simply return to an earlier file version or reverse the changes that you didn't mean to make. When it comes to support, having the capability to grant permissions, share with security, and keep the same level of user access at all times - are very important aspects from an operational point of view.

> **Cons**: There is always a chance of syncing conflicts, mainly when several users are working on big files at the same time. Sometimes the desktop sync client stops working and you have to restart it manually. The division of storage between OneDrive and SharePoint may be a bit puzzling for users who don't have much technical knowledge, and at times the differences between personal and shared libraries are also not immediately apparent. Aside from that, upload speeds can fluctuate.

> Generally, OneDrive has proven to be a reliable cloud storage and collaboration tool that is a perfect match for regular work patterns. In my capacity as a technical product support specialist, it has become a tool that greatly helps in sharing files, handling documentation and facilitating collaborations across various teams. Thanks to the seamless integration with Microsoft 365, team members can edit documents together without any hindrances. Although there are a few issues from time to time with synchronization, the software is still very reliable, safe, and powerful for use by both individuals and organisational use.
