While Windows and Mac OS have baked in disk management capabilities, third party software is recommended when dealing with data storage needs. When you have a heart attack, you don't go see your family doctor, you go to a cardiologist. Same principle applies here. MiniTool Partition Wizard is an excellent choice for taking care of data storage setup, changes, and maintenance. The features included in the Free edition are extensive, with the only major component that most users would perhaps use being recovery of deleted files or partitions requiring an upgrade. The GUI dynamically changes based on selected drive or partition on a drive, offering only the relevant options. Users select the action desired, and the GUI then reflects the changes. This allows a review of the pending action and ensure that they achieve the desired results before applying and committing to the change.
