Makes your video creation process easier!

Pros:

Very useful features like sending your script to your mobile phone (where you record the video in the app and play the text as a teleprompter), adding beautiful subtitles, even creating video landing pages... That's just very briefly what the best features are. Overall it supports you in all steps of the video creation process.

Cons:

I haven't found a lot of cons yet. What might be interesting to add is the possibility to change the color/font of the scripts for the teleprompter. So you are reminded if you want to speak in a special way. Moreover customization is always nice to have I'd say, but it really is a good product.

A great tool, but needs some work on their mobile app

Comments: great experience, it helped me start to do reels and videos to promote my company.

Pros:

The teleprompter in the phone, the text editing and autocaptions.

Cons:

The custom templates work only on desktop not on mobile.

Broken, buggy features and unhelpful support

Comments: The concept is fantastic. But it's buggy. Some of the bugs can be worked around (Web app doesn't work in Chrome, use another browser, for example.) I have no problem with the workarounds. The frustrating part is they allow you to find the bugs, wasting your time, then tell you about them. "Yes, that's a known bug" is a common response. Why not be open about it and let me know before I waste my time? Why not have a list of known bugs in the documentation?
Some of the bugs can't be worked around. I'm trying to create a 15-minute walkthrough video. As the web app's broken and can't record more than 10 minutes, they want me to record two videos and stitch them together. It's a to-camera recording. Stitching it together's not going to work.
The support team respond quickly, which is great. But they aren't helpful, which is frustrating. There's no sense of understanding that the software's buggy and that all I want to do is create videos. It's very much a case of "Yes, we know it's buggy, but that's your problem."

Pros:

The ability to record videos with their teleprompter is great. Uploading and editing scripts is easy, as well as sending them to a mobile is dead easy. The support response is fast, and that's great as I'm in close contact with them trying to understand what's working and what isn't.

Cons:

Everything seems to break when trying to record videos. The say to use Chrome, but Chrome currently causes a problem with the camera connection. Does their support documentation tell you this? No. So I wasted time trying to resolve it. It's only after you have a problem they let you know it. My account has the ability to record 59 minute videos. I know because I checked with support before I recorded. Turns out it's a 10 minute limit when using the web app. But does the documentation tell you that? No. Does the web app warn you? No. It allows you to record a long video, then says, "You've exceeded the file size." Did support tell me when I asked how long I could record for? No. After realizing I couldn't upload the file, I asked support if the file is stored locally so I can edit it somewhere else... no response from support so I assume the work's lost.

Minimalistic and powerful in the palm of your had.

Comments: This is an essential app for creators that maybe don’t have the time to invest in a desktop application for editing videos. Having the convenience of creating content on the phone and using the same app to edit and export makes the process simpler and intuitive.

Pros:

The software integrates a lot of great features for content creators. The graphic interface is very simple and minimal; but yet intuitive and well design for mobile devices. Features like the closed captioning; teleprompter for selfie view and basic editing for trimming and exporting clips are very useful.

Cons:

At times the process of rendering the videos can be slow. It also depends on the resources pulled on the device at the same time. It will be best if the app was more responsive and faster processing.

Social media centric tool

Comments: Perfect tool for quickly recording, editing and sharing social media videos.

Pros:

BIGVU is a simplified way to record, edit and share videos on social media. The menu tab is very easy to work with 3 options to work with. The Read only option is where I get to try out my script using the teleprompter which makes it easy to record without errors. The Read and record is for recording the video into the BIGVU. It works perfectly with external mics for better quality sound and the videos can be accessed across the phone and computer platform since all records are uploaded and available in the BIGVU cloud. Much of editing can be done on both platforms adequately with no problem. BIGVU is very good for sharing videos across almost all social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram etc. with their various video dimensions/layout requirements. I have used Adobe premiere Rush for social media video recording and it has been ok. However, BIGVU seems intentionally designed with social media in mind and thus has become my to go for this purpose.

Cons:

It is not cheap and the free version comes with BIGVU watermark for their marketing purposes. If one doesn’t mind it, then it is a versatile tool to consider.

Bigvu is a great tool, it has helped me create courses and content without unnecessary padding

Comments: Bigvu has definitely saved me a lot of time when creating content, and the results are more precise and of better quality.

Pros:

I'm constantly creating content and this telepronter has been a key tool for me.Bigvu makes my videos great. I consider it quite useful for all of us who are dedicated to creating content and info products as part of our digital business. I like its simplicity and also that the interface is very clean. And the best thing is that I can use it on the phone and on the laptop. Another point in favor of Bigvu is the support, there really is a team behind this company that does its job well. I have contacted them on several occasions and in the end they have resolved any situation I have had.They have great product documentation, and they always do webinars and videos for their YouTube channel.

Cons:

Something that I did not like about the Bigvu app is that you cannot stop the recording at the exact moment and then continue. To pause, you must first load the recorded video and start recording a new video, and position yourself at the point you left off. It has a function to stop automatically on silence, but when there are gaps in the script, it stops because it doesn't hear sound.

Comments: For YEARS, I have wrestled with trying to find a product or service that would enable me to achieve the kind of results that can be expected from an expensive teleprompter setup - without the expense and lack of portability of such equipment. When I found BigVu, I felt like I did when I found my spouse. It's what I'd been looking for my whole life! (Well, at least for a LOT of years when it comes to my video creation needs).

Pros:

The ease of use, ability to upload and edit scripts on the fly, switching from desktop to mobile device usage, the speed and flexibility of features, and outstanding customer support.

Cons:

Not being able to have folders to sort videos in the lower level tier.

It's way more than just a simple teleprompter application

Pros:

We came across and tried this application looking for tools that would allow teachers to create eLearning videos with ease. Many of them do not have the time to come to a studio or create one at home, and worse, when standing in front of the camera they forget everything they should say. This app allows them to be recorded through your smartphone while reading the script they wrote previously, so they say everything necessary without forgetting anything. But it does not stay there. Once recorded, the App allows you to make certain edits to your video, as well as add other graphic elements and even replace the background, if you used a green screen.

Cons:

It is quite simple and basic. While we do not have negative comments about what there is, we would like to have more editing options as in other online editors. However, they are on the right track.

I like most about this software that you can use your phone to record and see the teleprompter. It makes it easier to use.

The desktop for of uploading your script seems to be lacking. I wish it was easier to upload from your mobile device

Video editing and animation software

Inexpensive teleprompter solution--can't do without it

Comments: When I first got BigVu a few years ago I had a lot of problems with it. It would get stuck, not recognize my mic or camera. It was very frustrating. Customer support was always responsive, but unable to help at the time and couldn't really use it. But that was then. They have clearly resolved the issues. Now I use it all the time and it works like a charm. It's been a game changer for me because I really do rely on my scripts when recording.

Pros:

It enables me to create videos with the support of a script but without making it obvious that I'm relying on the script.I like how easy it is. Very short learning curve. It's very intuitive.

Cons:

It takes a while to for the videos to process before I can download the finished product, but I think that's true of all video processing and not just Bigvu.

Bugs. Unreliable. Waste of Time and Money

Comments: Wish I would have seen reviews warning me that this was nowhere near ready. I wasted so much time with this. I would not use it if it was free. Now I'm out over $130 AND 3 days of my life.

Pros:

The training videos were great. Too bad the web video editing wasted my time.

Cons:

Bugs. Web Video Editing was slow. The platform made it where my audio and video did NOT match making my videos unusable.

functionality

Comments: Problems I don't have with the BIGVU app.
I have more benefits because BIGVU is very professional and the cost-benefit is very worthwhile.

Pros:

The app is easy to use. and the most interesting thing is that we can put the recording script in it. And so I can act in front of the camera with ease and confidence, because I know I won't forget anything that was programmed to record.

Cons:

the downside is that it has no text import. It only has the copy and paste.

Never Memorize Your Video Script Again!

Comments: Overall, I thought that this was really user friendly. I loved being able to practice my scripts and watch the playback immediately. This is definitely worth using.

Pros:

Bigvu allows you to upload a prepared script from your computer and use your phone or tablet as a teleprompter. I love that you have the ability to use both the computer and the app at the same time. You can instantly see the script as you record your video. I love that the script on the teleprompter will stop moving when you pause. This is not only a teleprompter but a video recorder and editor. You can add a watermark of your logo on your video and trim the video. My favorite part is that you can do multiple takes of your script and choose the best version. This is definitely worth the money.

Cons:

You are limited on how much you can edit your videos using the software. You can add lower thirds on the video that show your name or whatever you decide to write and you can add your logo. I wish there was the capability to add videos into templates where you can add different texts or pictures inside of the video. If I am doing an explainer video, I would like to have step 1 pop up, then step 2, and step 3. This software does not have that capability as of yet.

As a user with limited camera experience, this software and particularly the teleprompting features gave me confidence creating armature videos!

Any better apps

Comments: i can't find the video to download from the website unless i edited it
1- wile i am editing the video, if someone called me or i want to use my phone. i have to REEDIT the video,
2- Editing video taking too much time.
3- You can't edit more than video and processing them at the same time. just one by one
4- There is no more feathers to edit scripts in any time in the video, just the title of the video.
5- Quality of video after editing is going less quality

Great video tool for video creators

Comments: Great experience, the prompter and auto captions tools are just great for pro videos for Tiktok, insta, Youtube Shorts, I recommend it

Pros:

One of the standout features of BigVu was the ability to record from a prompter and edit video directly within the platform. This was really convenient and saved me a lot of time compared to using separate software for recording and editing. The video quality was also excellent, and I was able to easily add subtitles and other effects to make the final product look polished and professional.Can also upload directly the video to your social medias

Cons:

A few bugs yet and optimisations that could be done, and a really long time to upload the videos. I think it will get better soon.You still add to upload manually to Tiktok if you want to create a miniature.

BIGVU helps you make professional videos, especially from your smartphone. You get all the features you need, including a teleprompter and closed captioning. The newsletter, YouTube videos and livestreams help you learn.

Cons:

If you want 4K video, you need the pricier Pro or Team plans.

SAVE YOUR MONEY

Comments: They have lousy support because they time their support as 30 minutes but more than 20 of that the software is not working. I am sooooo frustrated.

Pros:

I do not like it at all. I hate it. I will start looking for something else to buy.

Cons:

I have only tried to use this software for 3 projects. Each time it took forever to get anything done. This is the third time I try to create a video and it is taking ALL DAY.

BigVu is a great way to make videos for YouTube

Comments: Overall I love using this app as it is super simple for a YouTuber.

Pros:

I love that BigVu has a teleprompter feature. I like to use this when I have a video and want to make sure I'm hitting all my important points. It's easy to upload my text and I can do everything on my phone.

Cons:

I dislike that I can't find the videos that I have done on the online site when I log into my PC/desktop. I can only save the videos on my phone. This may be an oversight on my part but I did not see where I could save my videos to a cloud so I could see them later on their app on my PC.

Comments: Integrating the ability to provide and then read the script during filming lowers the hurdle of collaborating with anyone contributing to your project. Once someone can use the teleprompter to appear they are not reading from a script, they will see how easy it is to add their personalization to any video projects.

Pros:

The teleprompter feature is the standout process for me in this video tool. You can prepare your script and read it on your smartphone during filming, then move on to adding subtitles and editing your video all in one tool.

Cons:

There are limitations to customizing the intro and outros that I would like to see expanded. Also a pause/stop option for the teleprompter would be a great addition to this tool.

Amazing tool

Comments: I recommend Bigvu to my clients all the time. I use it when I need to record ads and the results are amazing.

Pros:

Bigvu reduced the complexity in creating videos. Not only if serves as a great teleprompter but it also adds captions and soundtracks. It is easy to use, supports multiple languages and just works!

Cons:

The user interface is not the best one, specially in the desktop/web. Also, it appears that it requires their server to process the videos and this delays a bit. But nothing that hurts productivity.

Teleprompter on your Phone

Comments: With BigVu, making videos using your phone to record text from a smartphone is made so easy that everyone can post short videos. I like the flexibility of setup and ease of use.

Pros:

Ease of use and setup. Desktop version for composing scripts.

Cons:

Saved videos on phone don't always appear on the desktop app. Can be slow, might be my internet connection though.
