"Great product... with problems."

Comments: Being a developer myself, I informed the Klaviyo team of the deprecated code errors their plugin was displaying on peoples websites, and to the fact that their plugin slowed customers websites down drastically. The reply I received a couple of days later was: "Unfortunately we do not update our plugin very often - but our team will get around to it eventually." This was 2 years ago, and the plugin still has not been corrected. So it still produces errors, and still slows peoples websites down.

Pros: Klaviyo is extremely easy to setup, especially compared to its competitors. You have the freedom to link Klaviyo with your Wordpress/WooCommerce website seamlessly. Everything can be automated! Such as emails after order received, emails after payment received, multiple emails after certain time duration's for things like newsletter subscriptions and a lot more options are available to include users website Wishlists, items they left in their shopping carts to remind them, and all emails are fully customisation using the Klaviyo's inbuilt email form designer. You can also arrange customer lists, newsletter subscription user lists, and any other lists you may require. The possibilities are endless!

Cons: Using Klaviyo on your Wordpress website as subscription signup form slows your website down, a lot! Although unnoticeable to customers surfing your site, Klaviyo also throws a few error on your page as it uses deprecated (out-dated) code. If the Klaviyo form builder doesn't produce the look/type of form you require, then you must build the form yourself by coding direct on your website (Which beats the point of having a form builder). The Klaviyo plugin does not update, and never announces that there is a new version. You must remove the plugin from your website, manually download the latest version from their website, and then upload/install/activate the new plugin. There is no option to change languages or string translations of forms, form input boxes, or form buttons. And these translations cannot be picked up in Wordpress plugins such as Lingotek or Polylang. The same applies to the confirmation pages after the user submits the forms.

"Best CRM for ecommerce, Worst for Customer Support"

Comments: With no phone support and 30 - 40 minute wait times for chat support and 24 hour response times for email support and no support on weekends, this makes Klaviyo's customer support the absolute worst I have ever seen. Maybe it's due to their growing pains. Their support staff are a mixed bag in terms of knowledge and being helpful and while that's not the norm for most SASS companies, I think that's pretty common across most CRM companies.

Pros: Fairly easy to learn for such powerful software
Integration with Facebook
Their native integrations and Not having to use Zapier for a lot of my integrations.

Cons: There is almost nothing to not like about this software but to learn it, you need to learn Klaviyo speak.
If I had to pick one thing it would be some of the finicky ways in which the email builder acts when dragging in a new widget or row and trying to position it.

"The Gold Standard for Shopify"

Comments: The transition was fantastically simple, the IP warming was easy and everything about Klaviyo has made us happy so far.

Pros: I greatly enjoy using Klaviyo. We've utilized MailChimp, Zaius and more in our quest for a long term ESP that we are happy with and Klaviyo has been it. It's not the cheapest out there but it certainly isn't the most expensive and it feels like you really get a good value for the advanced features. The Shopify integration is easy and seamless and the Live Chat customer service has been responsive and helpful everytime. Very pleased with them.

Cons: Honestly, perhaps the only thing I don't like is that layout isn't as sleek as some of the other options but it's a very minor point.

"Klaviyo is user friendly for first timers to email marketing & their customer service is outstanding"

Comments: Well I am building my subscriber list which they say is super important for the growth of my company. I know that I will see the benefits and fruits of that they longer I do it. I am so new at it now. But I feel like I am pro by using this software which gives me confidence that I can do this!

Pros: There are so many things to like about Klaviyo! When first starting out I had no clue what I was doing. I really appreciated that they had all the basic emails already outlined for me. It made it so much easier for me. All I had to do was go in and change words and insert images if I wanted. I like the options that I can either use a template with HTML or just a simple text email and they have so many template options! I like that the whole process is guided and really easy to use. I don't ever have to worry if my emails are going to be sent or not. I love that they keep your customer in mind and they have a system in place to where they are not inundated with emails from you. They have a checklist to make sure that you got all the essentials in there before you send out an email and they will remind you if you didn't do something like use any links! I feel safeguarded from sending out a sub par email. I also love the analytics so I can see who has opened the email, clicked on links, made a purchase. And to top it all of they have amazing customer service. Have loved my experience with Klaviyo!

Cons: The only thing I can think of is the fine print at the bottom of emails with all the manage preferences, mailing address, unsubscribe copyright info etc I had to kind of put together myself. Which is not a big deal at all but it would be nice to have that as an included template. Also not sure how to manually send a campaign to someone new to my newsletter. Have to manually do that. It only sends the campaign to those currently on my newsletter but not future subscribers within a certain time frame.

"Great ecommerce marketing email platform"

Comments: We use Klaviyo for sending our order confirmation, shipping, tracking, and other after purchase emails. For marketing, we've created some great flows including a thank you email 3 days after purchase, abandoned cart emails, customer recovery emails, etc.

Pros: It's full of features and pretty simple to use. Switched from Mailchimp and haven't looked back. It's a little pricier but that's ok. Have created some really great marketing emails and even use it for our after purchase emails (order confirmation, shipping, tracking, etc).

Cons: Sometimes the site is a little slow. I'm sure this has to do with the time of day and the use it is getting from other users.

"This is THE best ESP for e-commerce and beyond"

Comments: I can't say enough good things about Klaviyo

Pros: If you're looking for a powerful, intuitive, and revenue-driving email service provider, go with Klaviyo. It has tons of features, but is easy to learn, even for a beginner. And, their support team is awesome. From creating flows to segmenting your list, Klaviyo can do it all.

Cons: No complaints! Some features are a bit confusing, but that's to be expected with that level of power.

"Easier to set up than Mailchimp and insanely more powerful"

Comments: I started with Mailchimp and l liked it, but I couldn't get the segmentation that I wanted for my Shopify store. We were just launching our new store and I didn't have the time to switch and set up a new email system, but wow...it was so simple. I blocked half a day and I had it mostly set within 2 hours! Abandoned cart sequence, welcome sequence, repeat purchase thank you sequence. All will easy A/B test set up. Plus it automatically set up segmentations based on spending. My favorite part is the activity feed which tracks all of you customers activities and you can quickly sort to see who has opened an email, who has been active on the site, clicked links, etc... I am no marketing expert and this has made it so simple. I cannot recommend them enough. I experimented with Convertkit and Mailchimp and Klaviyo is hands down the best for e-commerce!

Cons: Email templates have a ton of drag and drop options, but it's not as easy to create good looking emails as mail chimp. if you aren't careful you can junk up your email design. There are a ton of options so it is more customizable than mail chimp and you can add dynamic product feeds based on Shopify info.

"Can't rave about this company and product enough!!!"

Comments: Increased my income/revenue drastically!

Pros: The integration is almost flawless. And where they may lack in an area they are very quick to help out and increase in areas you bring up. They are VERY focused on what the customer needs and wants. The Customer service is top notch and the help files are surprisingly helpful. They have clearly put a lot of effort into this aspect of the company. Great Job Guys!

Cons: Would love to see some of the same integrations that you see with other platforms brought across to the rest. Ex: Generating custom coupon codes like shopify.

"The Best option since Mailchimp and Shopify broke up"

Comments: Klaviyo is a perfect solution for Shopify users it basically has everything you need to pamper your customers by the time you increase your sales and loyalty. The best part, they offer a free subscription then you can upgrade according to your needs.

Pros: The most important thing for me is the Shopify integration. Emailing is one of the best tools to increase customer loyalty and re-purchasing at e-commerce and Klaviyo was designed to really help in this matter. All their flows are perfectly set and are very easy to customize.

Cons: It took me time to understand how Klaviyo works as I was really customed to MailChimp interface and if you are too, probably you need to test a lot before sending your first campaign or run your first flow.

"LOVE Klaviyo!!!"

Pros: This software is honestly the BEST when it comes to ecommerce email marketing. They not only allow you to create flows quickly, but it's extremely easy to create campaigns as well!

Cons: I honestly don't really have many dislikes other than it's very difficult to make changes on mobile.

"a MUST-HAVE tool"

Pros: I absolutely love Klavyio. Its interface it's similar to MailChimp, but I find it so much easier to work with Klaviyo than with MC. I've been using it as our email management tool for a year now and it has every feature our business needs; from list management, to broadcasting messages, to creating email flows. Plus, Klaviyo's support is impeccable. The agents are well prepare to guide you through all your needs and they for sure go the extra mile to help you take the most out of their tool.

Cons: I don't think they have any cons. It's pricey, but it's worth it.

"Send marketing email with ease!"

Comments: I use it frequently to send marketing emails and newsletter updates to my customers. I created a newsletter signup pop up with this app to expand the mailing list and it is linked to the mailing list.

Pros: It’s extremely easy to use and has a lot of pre made templates that you can use to get you started. It is extremely easy to add your customer mailing list, link it easily with your website or setup a signup box on your website.

Cons: There really was nothing I didn’t like. It helped me and my business greatly and is extremely easy to use.

"Klaviyo is Awesome!"

Comments: My overall experience with Klaviyo has been great! I would definitely recommend

Pros: Klaviyo is a great software. From automation to segmentation, reporting to analytics. This software has really taken eCommerce email marketing and automation to the next level!

Cons: What I like least about Klaviyo is probably the lack of flow functionality. It's great for the basics and must-haves for automation, but it's not as robust as I thought it would be.

"The best email service out there for ecommerce"

Comments: Not so easy to start using it but it's worth it.

Pros: The level of segmentation and automation that you can get with this is the best out there. Segmentation is the key in marketing and in emails in crucial. You can segment even by products purchases, quantities or frequency. Simply awesome!

Cons: The price. It cost almost twice or more than Mailchimp for example, but if segmentation is important to you, it is worth it.

"Great email management/marketing"

Comments: Overall, I had an okay experience using this platform. The pricing is okay for the features it comes with.

Pros: This is a great user friendly email management especially if you're first starting out with email management softwares. I really liked the templates they already provided me - I could easily just change the information in there around if I wanted to.

Cons: Support is a little bit slow at responding to issues. I also had multiple errors when sending emails but those worked out on their own.

"Relatively easy email marketing automation for e-commerce"

Pros: Once you figure out how to set up your core email templates (which isn't a no-brainer nor is it particularly difficult), it is really easy to create new email newsletters and drip campaigns and monitor analytics. Klaviyo easily integrates with Shopify which allows you to measure ROI of email on your e-commerce business.

Cons: I fumbled around a bit setting up the original email templates and figuring out how to format the automatic trigger emails in Shopify through Klaviyo. Definitely allow yourself some time for that.

"Great automation flows, not the best set up for multi-shopify clients"

Pros: Klaviyo has one of the best automation flows set up for the price we pay. The wysiwyg editor and the source modifier work perfectly together - great stuff!

Cons: Not being able to link multiple shopify accounts with only one klaviyo account is a big minus - this might be a problem, as soon as we grow bigger and have to add new currencies.

"Powerful tool"

Comments: I've been using Klaviyo for a couple of weeks now. We integrated our Prestashop store using custom integration. It's all well-documented so the integration module was ready in 2 or 3 days. We still need to overcome one minor issue but I hope it won't take long as the customer support is on it. What I love most about Klaviyo is how deep we can go with triggering mails and flows. This is really powerful and it's really up to us how we make use of it. The bottom line is that it really works. In the first 2 days after launching abandoned cart series we earned almost 1.2k in revenue from this campaign alone. The software literally pays for itself. Also, integration with Optinmonster works like a charm and helps us with getting more e-mail leads.

"A Step Closer"

Comments: Overall Klaviyo has a bit of a learning curve, but once you learn it it's easy to use and customize for general purposes. Whenever I've had an issue, the team has been helpful and they've made note of my suggestions for the future.

Pros: I started using Klaviyo last year and have found it more customizable than some other email platforms. As a designer color customization, image sizing, and padding are important things for me. There are also a ton of different formatting options depending on the style of email I'm working on. Whenever I've had an issue, Klaviyo support has been quick to help and have made videos for future reference.

Cons: Not everything is customizable. While fonts can be imported, they don't always show up on email browsers so you're limited by Klaviyo's native fonts. Mobile formatting vs desktop can also be an issue, as right now there isn't a way to differentiate the two. At times I also have to format via coding, where I wish I could design with the native tools.

"Klaviyo for Flows."

Comments: Klaviyo pairs incredibly well with Shopify data. It is an incredible medium for building an audience and for following up with customers with valuable information such as installation guides. We love to hear from our customers and queue up emails to check in and ask for real feedback months down the line. Klaviyo is a really useful tool for drafting emails for sorting through your customers and for getting content out quickly and smoothly. The more you use it, the more you pay but the free version is great for getting started. I have referred this to friends who are starting email lists for their yoga practices and people who are new to blogging and emails. It's very intuitive and easy to configure to your needs but it does take a while to really understand all of the functionality that is really availability.

Pros: The new flow builder is a game changer for klaviyo. its so much easier to setup, modify and get stats on the flows.

Cons: I think the templates could be better, mailchimp is still the leader in nice templates that are visually more appealing. Its a bit pricey.

"A great way to connect personally with our customers"

Comments: I've really enjoyed using Klaviyo as a platform to connect with our customers. It's very intuitive once you get familiar with the tools and their support team is incredibly helpful. We've had a great connection with our Account Manager as well which really gives us an opportunity to maximize our use of it.

Pros: -Awesome features to target customers -Can make our emails unique to users -Narrows our focus instead of wasting time on unengaged people subscribed to our list -Amazing customer support

Cons: -Can take some time to get familiar with the functionality -Analytics features can be difficult to get the information you need (mostly based on specific dates and visual overview)

"The best email platform for eCommerce"

Comments: Recently upgraded a client from Mailchimp to Klaviyo. The amazingness starts from the transition process which Klaviyo nearly handled 100%. Their API pulled our entire MC account down and recreated it within their system. Boom! Fully set up and ready to start emailing. We seriously got out our first email within a few days where we expected a setup time of weeks. The UI is clean and simple to use for us on a daily basis. We send 6 custom emails a week so you can imagine is it quite the work. Klaviyo has made us much more efficient in getting those emails out. We are just getting into the flows and automation. So any options and ways to deploy! A must have if you send email and do ecommerce online.

Pros: Deliverability, UI, Support Team

Cons: None so far

"Better than Constant Contact"

Comments: Tried it on a whim and wound up loving it. Our sales actually grew measurably as a result of using Klaviyo

Pros: You can do so much more with this platform. The templates are more exciting and way less cookie cutter. Segmenting options are endless.

Cons: I feel like I need to take a class to get everything out of this platform. Seriously. It’s frustratung. I feel like I’m only using 50% of its potential. There are resources where you can look up info, and they’re mostly good. But I feel this was designed by a developer who forgot the rest of the world does not have his knowledge.
