Fully featured with constant improvements

Comments: ProPet has made it so easy for us to run our business, while the lack of Xero support has created a couple of hurdles for us, we're very happy with the overall result we've been able to achieve using it.

Pros:

Above all other training, daycare, boarding or grooming software - this stands tallest. ProPet is the cleanest, fully featured solution out there. While it can be very detailed and time consuming to set up, this customisability is what makes it great when you're looking for it later. The support is super helpful and always willing to hear out suggestions and feedback.

Cons:

The training module was heavily based on the boarding/daycare module. This is understandable as it required a starting point, but has still borrowed far too much from these modules instead of rethinking how it should work for training and building the module from a different perspective.

Years later and still love it!

Pros:

Did my first review back in 2017 after using the product for a year. It's now 8 years we've been on it and we still love it. Our customer service needs are minimal but when I do need help they they've been very responsive.

Cons:

no complaints - think we've only gone down a couple times in 8 years and they responded well and quickly resolved.

Alternatives Considered: Gingr

Reasons for Choosing ProPet: Learning curve too hi for most staff and too many steps to get stuff done.

Comments: Really a waste of money really mad I actually paid money to use this program.

Pros:

Truly nothing beyond hard to get a hang of the system.

Cons:

Everything. Never did me nor my staff get the hang of how to use it.

Great Product, Terrible Service

Comments: We would still be using this software if they had any kind of customer service after the sales team is done with you.
The software is great until it's not, and if you need help, you're on your own.

Pros:

The product is excellent for multi channel pet businesses

Cons:

The retail module is clunky and unwieldy. Hard to update and use. Customer service is nonexistent. They have a Facebook page where you can ask other users for help because they will never respond. I needed to revamp our entire retail inventory, and was emailing with a rep for several months, no help was forthcoming due to "staffing issues," i was as patient as i coyld be while continuing to check in, finally she just ghosted me.

Not the best

Comments: When you have an idea or need something fixed within the software, the customer service reps are programmed to tell you that your idea is wonderful and that it will be placed on their list of great ideas, but nothing ever gets done. There is no tracking of open support tickets or follow up to help requests. There is no searchable help screen from within the software. You can search and external, ProPet knowledge base but it is very out-of-date and clunky. To me, the annual price I paid is no longer worth the value of the product/service I receive. However, once you have used ProPet for a period of time, it's hard to make the switch to another program.

Pros:

It does help me manage my kennel space well. With ProPet I can avoid double bookings. Clients seem to find it easy enough to use.

Cons:

While there is some room to customize the major and standard functions for my business, not all functions are that useable. We don't use the words "colour" and "cheque" in the US, it would be nice to have an American version of the software. What should be standard functions, you must create your own "rule" for to enable them to work properly. For example, there is no way to block clients from submitting reservations when you are going to be closed for a period of time. You can show on the calendar (X'd out dates) when you will be closed, but a client can still submit a reservation as long as their dates are on either side of your closed dates. You can't easily indicate when you kennel is completely full to clients and can no longer take reservation requests. You simply have to "cancel" every request as it comes in for the period you are full. If you like reports, ProPets has tons of reports, I think I use 2 -3 of them.

Reasons for Choosing ProPet: Precise Petcare was primarily a pet-sitter, dog walking management software which are services I no longer provide.

From the beginning Propet has been great to work with and has fixed things immediately for me.

Comments: Really helps me to know what my staffing requirements are as we can see immediately what our reservations are for the day or week. I use the report functions daily. Very user friendly!

Pros:

Almost able to run my complete business and they try really hard to make it all work but it doesn't for the home pet services side.

Cons:

I have a home pet sitting services and I can't quite get that integrated. I did have an issue with the QuickBooks integration but they fixed quickky

Definitely Worth Your Money!

Comments: I run a dog training business and I've found that having all of the appointments, pricing, and notes in one place is great. Since I don't use the main 'kennel' aspect of ProPet, there are some aspects that work a little strangely from time to time, but I've only been using ProPet for a couple of months now and every single month, they've added new and extremely useful features. I'm very happy with my purchase and look forward to continuing to use it into the future.

Pros:

Easy-to-use & Continuously adding new (wanted and useful!) features

Cons:

How the modules are separated and expensive to add unless you're going to be using them all the time. There is also a bit of a learning curve to figure out how to use it and customer support is really only accessible through email.

ProPet has really helped us build our business from the get go!

Comments: Manages my clients and our business day to day. I think it is a growing product meaning that there are some things that are ok but improving. I think it is a good sign as it is always getting better. The reports are ok but they are all being updated and advanced moving forward.

Pros:

The software is very user friendly and spans a strong variety of services. I am pleased with the choice to go with them. Not to mention I strongly praise their support as they are very quick to respond to troubleshooting issues and functionality questions.

Customer support during startup was very helpful.

Comments: Makes my business more efficient.

Pros:

Out of the 20 pet sitting software options I looked at, this had the most options for my business. Integration with other programs I am currently using. Reporting features.

Cons:

Needs to be better tailored for pet sitting & dog walking. Can't easily schedule more than 1 visit per day for same client. Doesn't integrate with PayPal.

Very responsive company

Comments: Easy to use. Comprehensive features for all aspects of my daycare/boarding/grooming business.

Pros:

Very intuitive and easy to learn. Support is very responsive. Software is continually upgraded and new features are added.

Cons:

No documentation or training materials. Online Help would be nice. Recent upgrades have caused some other glitches.

Simply Amazing Software. A must for any kennel large or small.

Comments: I have had the pleasure of watching ProPet grow into a "must have" online booking software. The fact that it is not only easy to use but functions well 100% of the time is wonderful. It fully integrates with QuickBooks Online and saves hours on data entry for receivables. The support is friendly and prompt to respond. Not only am I an avid user for Sunnidale Boarding Kennels but a fan! Keep up the great work!

No signature in the reply function with email communications. Every business has signatures in their emails to remain professional. I have to type a full signature each time I reply and there is no logo or links our website.

It has been an easy transition moving from our old program to ProPet

I like the fact that the transition was very easy from our old program to this one, this program is easy to use and offers a lot of flexibility. Customer service has been great in assisting me with any questions and providing information on certain functions of the program. I also like the fact that you are constantly improving based on the customer feedback and requests. I also love the fact that I can log in from anywhere to make changes or create a booking.,.

Cons:

I wish there was a way to have payments allocated in to the particular service when dealing with a dog that is already checked in under one service. For example.....when I have a dig that is checked into daycare but is also getting a groom and paying for a class, rather then it all go under the daycare (having them be entered as an add on service), have the other services go under their particular service area all while keeping it on one invoice. I am looking very forward to having the commission report completed as well as I have 2 groomers on staff right now and their payroll take a while to go through.

This program has everything we need for our dog & cat boarding facility. Amazingly easy.

Pros:

The software has everything we need to track, document, interact via emails, invoicing and uploading pictures of the dogs & cats to show up on the kennel cards (AKA boarding sheet). Easy to maneuver through and get everything we need or need to document. The notes on the customer's page is great for sharing info with others in the facility for check in and check out purposes.

Cons:

There is not a thing we can say that is negative about this software as it has exactly what we need for our boarding facility. Incredibly easy to teach new employees on the software and it hasn't failed us yet.

Comments: We have already saved so much paper & time with this software program. We are heading into one of our busiest weeks of the year (4th of July) and it has been so easy getting everything together for each individual customer. :)

Pros:

I can't choose just one thing that I like most about ProPet. I love how easy the program makes our daily tasks. We no longer have to make Confirmation Calls to remind customers about their dog's stay with us - instead they now get email reminders. I also love how everything is in one place & customers can also access their account to see if they have bills to pay, book reservations, etc. We love ProPet!

Cons:

What I like least about ProPet is just the fact that not all of our customers aren't really thrilled about the new system. We've received a few complaints that we are going this route but you know what's awesome? It doesn't matter if they are on board or not! We can still use the software and customers don't even have to ever access their account if they do not want to.

Helped us transorm the way we manage our Dog Day Care business with great professionalism

Comments: Reduced our admin time by 90% which more than covers the monthly charge. Our customers love that they can order online and see what they have used.

Pros:

The only system out there that I could find which could accommodate the pre-pay vouchers we use in our business and keep the customer records we need to be compliant with our license in a cloud based system. Customers love being able to book and check how many vouchers they have left and it has saved us about 20h admin per week. The customer service and support in moving from our old paper-based system to this cloud based system have been of a "Dimond" standard.

Cons:

As we are UK based you have to pay in $, not £ and the excellent customer support is only contactable after 2 pm - minor stuff. Some of the business report tools don't let you integrate the numbers as much as I would like (hence the 4stars and not 5 stars) but to be fair to Pro Pet they have helped me out with a couple and I guess I might not be the typical customer.

The best booking software HappyPooch has ever used

Comments: Customer service is above average, the program keeps improving, and it meets all my business needs except for booking pack walk services with ease.

Pros:

The way the customer pages are laid out - I can see all their info as well as upload questions and forms for them to complete.

Cons:

Takes too long to book simple grooming appts. Cannot book repeating pack walks easily. I basically never check out grooming appts because takes so long on a mobile version.

The customer service and functionality of ProPet have far exceeded my expectations!

Pros:

It integrates with QuickBooks, has more useful features than I originally thought, has streamlined the operations of my business and eliminated much of the tedious paperwork we have been doing for the past 20 years. The customer service is surpassed by none; the ProPet team are dedicated to their clients and the functionality of their software! I have been working with the ProPet team for only 3 months and using the software for only 2 weeks and my only regret is that I didn't find them sooner. Don't wait another second, sign up for a demo, you will not regret it!

Cons:

Currently there is not a dedicated module for a dog walking service. Having said that, the team is working very hard to accommodate our needs and helping us navigate the current system to ensure the dog walking portion of my business runs as smoothly as the daycare, grooming and retail.

Pros:

It is very flexible for many types of services. Response from them is quick and effective. They are always improving the product.

Cons:

Daycare dogs are required to be assigned a run. It’s really a little thing that doesn’t effect our business but if I have to pick one thing that would be it.

Can't change the calendar times or description without affecting the client booking history Pre-Paid packages button and position is very confusing to people when booking because all they see are the reservations buttons above and go there instead. Could us report cards and incident reports

Excellent program and support team

Comments: I’ve had an excellent experience with this software for running my dog daycare. My clients love being able to access and book their pets in. It provides immediate organization of your bookings, clients and pet information. I can’t imagine not having it to run a dog daycare.

Pros:

It was easy to use. The support team was always there to help if we couldn’t figure something out. They provided on going training for any new staff that I had.

Cons:

Nothing! I like all the features. They are constantly working to upgrade and improve.

Pros:

Easy to use. Great customer service. Online app is useful. User friendly. Way better then pet123. Online payments great option.

Cons:

Somewhat expensive, in American dollars yet based in Canada. Issues are addressed but might take months to change or implement.

Comments: It has helped me and my staff to be able to better communicate with customers, keep track of their pets needs and predict future revenue.

Pros:

Customer service is top notch! Easy to learn software! Always adding new features! The modules can be purchased separately so you can add on as your company grows!

Pretty good so far. Not liking that we can't send text message reminders for appointments.

Pros:

Ease of adding a new customer is probably the easiest part of the software. Also like the reminders for expired vaccinations.

Cons:

The most frustrating part of the software is no text message reminders for confirming appointments and no way to schedule appointments directly on the calendar.

Comments: Getting started with ProPet couldn't be easier!! Customer Support has been spectacular and the developers of the product have been fantastic in customizing the software to our needs!

Pros:

The ability to switch dogs from 1 kennel to another during the same stay. The ability for clients to self manage their information and bookings. The ability to list multiple colour codes.

Cons:

The inability to make a recurring daycare reservation indefinite without charging the client up front. The inability to set up a package with an inclusion and still have the inclusion go into the calendar as a special service.

Propet's support is second to none. You are not alone!

Comments: Organization is much improved including biling and scheduling

Pros:

The ease of use for all of our staff is fantastic. Generally fairly adaptable to different types of businesses. The support from the company is top notch.

Cons:

The mobile/tablet functionality is fairly poor, especially using the new Kennel View function, but it is in beta. The app is fairly weak as well and doesn't have many of the more advanced features.
