A Great HCM Solution
Comments: SyncHR's leadership team is very engaged with each client during implementation and thereafter. We've found their team to be responsive and willing to spend the extra time with us to ensure our satisfaction.
The things I like most about SyncHR include:
1) Position Control – SyncHR is the only solution to have true position control. As a large, dynamic 1,200+ employee organization, we track actual headcount and budgeted payroll expense versus actual labor dollars. SyncHR doesn’t lose track of the position and the dollars associated with it when someone terminates or moves to a different position – and you can view organization charts in the past, present or future.
2) Core system architecture – The HR, benefits and payroll core provides a level of automation we’ve never had before, which means our data is always accurate and up-to-date.
3) Employee Interface: SyncHR makes it easy for employees to see all their information in one place. Via self-service, employees are able to make changes to their personal data, payroll withholdings and direct deposit and can easily initiate life-change events for benefits.
4) Connecting to other systems: SyncHR bundles a world-class integration architecture with their solution which allows us to easily integrate our people data with other systems outside of the core. We've been successful at integrating SyncHR with our performance management, learning management and applicant tracking systems.
5) Commitment to our success: It’s extremely refreshing to work with a vendor who seems to truly care about our success. SyncHR isn’t perfect, but who is? Still, they seem to genuinely care about our business. We’re not just a number or help-desk-ticket to them. This matters a lot.
Cons: SyncHR is different, especially if you’re more familiar using one of the mainstream HCM products. Some of my team members who prefer to do things the way they’ve also done them have struggled a bit with a different way of doing things. It’s actually easier and makes more sense once you take the time to learn it, but again, it’s different. Using the system as designed is very powerful as it significantly automates and streamlines processes and drives much greater data accuracy.

SyncHR from a Users Perspective with some insight into the Admin Side
Comments: Overall it has been nice and simple to use. Nice UI for the most part and it allows company wide announcements for updates and so forth. It's a nice place to house tax documents and benefit information.
Pros: It is pretty straight forward in terms of where you need to go to look for certain things. Sign in and you have a menu of the different things you have access to depending on what your HR wants you to see. We can access our tax info and see our personal info. It's really easy to make changes to your information if needed. Clocking in and clocking out is straight forward and if any change requests are needed that is easily doable as well. Requesting time off is very simple and to the point which is always helpful, your balances are readily available.
Cons: From time to time it glitches and I can't even log in or if I log in I can't access any other pages except the one that you land on once you log in. At times clocking in lags and it looks like it freezes but then when you refresh or clock in again it logs both clock in/out times. From the admin perspective approving changes at times gets missed or the changes don't get saved properly. It would be nice if for example adding time or making changes, the time will calculate for you, say adding 4.37 hours to 12:17pm to complete an 8 hour shift.

Massive payroll data through data upload
Comments: The most common problerma I could solve using this software refers to solid reporting functions. These functions improve auditability for information and make actionable decisions within the company.
Pros: One thing I love is that I can automate complex calculations, as well as past, present and future tax changes, which helps me to reduce the risk of compliance issues.
Cons: So far I could get a handicap or negative aspect of Synchr that is meaningful, however I could say that is not aimed at small businesses and maybe that detracts functionality.

A true all in one system that is easy to use!
Comments: Overall a great product that any size company can benefit from greatly.
Pros: The best part of the system is how everything is interconnected and updated in real time. When you give an employee a raise it automatically calculates the back pay needed and can correct the payroll records. It handles all of the payroll and tax filings without any effort on the payroll team. The flexibility with time recording is amazing and seems to have no limitations.
Cons: The only limitation with this product is the familiarity of the tool itself in the market place. This should change overtime as more companies become aware of the product and all it can do.

Easy to navigate through
Comments: Using SyncHR has been so much easier to use than our previous payroll system.
Pros: My favorite thing about SyncHR is that it is so easy to navigate through. If you have something that needs your immediate attention, there is a "Task" button to let you know that you have something that needs your immediate attention. And you can sync your notifications from SyncHR to your personal email or work email. I love it.
Cons: There is literally nothing that I dislike about SyncHR.

Automation Equals Savings And Accuracy
Pros: SyncHR is the first company I have ever worked with that provides real-time retro pay calculations. The combination of some configurable rules along with how T&A and Employee Scheduling is handled has allowed us to reduce our payroll processing time by 55%.
Cons: The user defined fields are somewhat limited and look forward to 2016 when this is supposed to receive an enhancement.

Has a Long Way To Go!
Comments: SyncHR was sold to us with the promise of lots of bells and whistles. What we received was a system without any basic features that are necessary for an HR department to function. Simple things such as adjusted service date, historical benefits data, getting basic reports are simply missing or do not function well. As a result, we need to keep a back-up spreadsheet (luckily we are small enough) to make sure SyncHR doesn't delete vital information. They nickel and dime you for reports, updates, changes, etc. I do not recommend this system.
Pros: The employee access and user interface works well and employees like it.
Cons: Reports are inaccurate or unusable, basis features are missing, deletes important historical information when updating to a new year, EDI feeds often don't work. Lots of time spent troubleshooting with their customer service. And often they charge for that!

Mostly does what I need but lack in certain areas
Comments: Is fairly easy to use compared to many other HCM systems. Not as robust and reporting is a nightmare. Ever since the Mt. TAM release the reporting has given many errors and takes long time to load. I have to clear my cache constantly to get reporting to function.
Pros: Good user interface, is fairly flexible.
Cons: Lacks ability for employees to submit EEO information.

Best product on the market
Comments: Positive. Highly recommended.
Pros: Great product that delivers. Not just the tools, but the analytics you need to improve your business.
Cons: Design needs some updating, but its not that bad.

Great Software for all your HR needs
Comments: Exceptional service.
Pros: The time machine technology is unlike any other software. Other companies have this similar technology, but the way you are able to view and utilize going back to a specific date in time and even submit payroll changes is something special. The group at SyncHR is also great to work with, they have no hidden agenda except to sale you a great product. I highly recommend giving them a look.
Cons: There is very little to complain about as they are so easy to work with that if you have issues, they are willing to work with you to make changes that make sense.

Great for Applicant Tracking
Pros: Use this mostly for applicant tracking and it is very easy to use and generally a VERY useful tool to track candidates. I do not know how we survived without this.
Cons: I suppose there is a bit of a learning curve that some less tech-savvy employees may struggle with initially. But once you get it, things become simple and streamlined.

Good but not great
Comments: We use SyncHR as our primary HRIS and while it's good in some areas it's not great. The UI can be kind of clunky at times. One thing I found is that when you shrink your browser, some of your tabs disappear instead of shrinking down. It's pretty easy to use except for the reporting. That was a main selling point for us but it's not super intuitive and some of the reports don't generate the data you want. The customer service is quick to answer but not always quick to fix your problem, even if you mark it Urgent. Some file feeds out of SyncHR to other providers has been incorrect, but luckily our account manager helped us resolve them. Overall good but not great.

SyncHR may be the worst piece of software I've ever used
Comments: I say this as a completely self-taught programmer who has been working with computers for over thirty years (since I was 15-- I'm not THAT old). I'm not the kind of idiot who needs help with Excel. SyncHR is a steaming pile and I would only recommend it to people whom I would like to see die, painfully. I've been using it for over a year as a manager, and familiarity only breeds greater hatred.
Cons: The interface on this application is absolutely terrible. You are presented with reams of useless information, but it is nearly impossible to find what you want. Every action requires fifteen mouse clicks. The interface is totally unintuitive and cluttered.

Pros: Their Customer Support team does do a nice job at trying to help you solve your problem. It's not their fault the product isn't flexible.
Cons: SyncHR is slow and hasn't updated their product in a very long time. It's not user friendly, they are not flexible and overall i've just had a bad experience with them.

For sure streamlines the onboarding process
Pros: Employee benefit enrollment was made simple and the drip reminders about important documents likely saves us a TON.
Cons: Their login portals aren't the easiest to find. I'm sure it will get better.
