All in one Fleet management System

Pros:

Right from the start i found this software easy to use, easy to integrate and easy to maintain. It takes alot of the hassle out of Fleet management for the managers as well as the drivers. With the recent addition of the Maintenance section, we've been able to keep better track of upcoming services and certifications resulting in less down time for the fleet.

Cons:

Customization of the reports would be a benefit as well as being able to assign annual inspection dates, for CVIP or other certifications, to vehicles instead of relying on the reminders section. having it auto populate in the maintenance section when due.

Alternatives Considered: Fleet Complete

Reasons for Switching to Whip Around: Its user friendly interface and mobile monitoring functionality made it a clear choice. The exceptional customer service goes along way as well.

Whiparound works great for our company

Comments: Fantastic from the software to customer service it always been up to par.

Pros:

I enjoy the simplistic format and extremely user friendly qualities of the app. The drivers at our company love it compared to the old paper inspections that we were using before whiparound.

It isn't very friendly for the people in the field, especially when not set up properly.

Pros:

It should be easy to use but our people made it way too hard.

Cons:

it crashes, you type a response that takes you 10 minutes to write and then after submitting it gives an error and half the time I just say F it and don't redo it.

Comments: Terrible you guys put a collection agency on my account and destroying my credit.

Pros:

Nothing. This stuff is a scam. And I’m stuck having to pay for it when I don’t even want it.

Too Expensive. We gone.

Comments: Price was way over the top.

Pros:

It was easy on the layout. Drivers found the prestarts great.

Cons:

Price. We run combinations, so it turned out too expensive to use and enter all the equipment. We have over 150+ assets. We found another company here in Australia (MEX) that was so much cheaper for us. We had a phone call from Whip Around and I explained the situation to her, and she asked higher above for better price for us. But the horse already bolted and we were signed up with MEX.

Cons:

Inventory tracking and the ability to perform a detailed equipment check that is connected to a piece of equipment that is assigned to a specific vehicle and have that check stay with the piece of equipment when it moves to other vehicles.

Great customer support

Pros:

The support team is quick to respond and either correct an issue or help find a solution.

Cons:

Integration with Asset Tiger would be very beneficial in our company!! The ability to track the inspections when a piece of equipment is checked out is vital to our reporting.

Whip Around for the Custodial Company

Pros:

When we first set it up the staff at Whip Around helped us upload all of our vehicle information and showed us how to upload past vehicle repairs. They took our existing vehicle inspection checklist and uploaded it very quickly. It was all quick and painless. Now Whip Around is home to all our past repair documents and makes it so easy to look up warranty repairs.

Cons:

Product is easy to use. Our greatest challenge is getting our staff to consistently turn in their inspections. I'm currently looking into integrating Whip Around with Microsoft Teams to see about getting it more consistent.

Inability to manage account subscription online. Had to wait for my account rep to call me, meanwhile, the clock is ticking and I want to complete the cancellation.

Comments: its a good system to work with . just as you work with it more you where some improvements can made . and tweeks to eleminate the repetetion .

Pros:

the inspection if used properly are very helpful , the manitenance program is very good. .

Cons:

need more admin and supervisor training on how to properly use the product so all departments benefit . drivers need more training on conducting inspection and what is safety and what is not . drivers need to be accountable more. on thing i would love to see . if a driver fails a unit on a pre or post trip . it should automatically go to out of service status . and noe should be able to conduct a inspection until repairsare made and signed off by mechanic and place back in service .

Whip Around - Best Tool for the Job!

Comments: It just works better than anything else out there.

Pros:

Easy to use, intuitive and user friendly. A wealth of data at your fingertips. Tech support is friendly and knowledgeable.

Cons:

Needs a at a glance page probably by week showing all of your assets and the results of the last inspection. Preferably printable. It is hard looking back and remembering which vehicle had which defect unless you pull up every inspection one by one.

Comments: Overall allows us to track services and repairs of equipment on a daily basis

Pros:

Easy to use nd its great that it ties in to phone

Cons:

area that could use work is if a defect is minor that is marked in progress , that an operator change that repeats the same defect would not pop up again . Such as scratch in paint or any minor cosmetic damage

Comments: Whip Around is great because it replaces the head ache of paper pretrips. It can be updated with the click of a few buttons and is very customizable to any need your business has in regards to checklist and inspections. The reporting is clean. Its very simple to add vehicles, users, or employees.

Pros:

I like that Whip Around is completely digital. It has a unique API that can be integrated into our reporting platform, Looker. I like that the software is user friendly. It is very dynamic in that changes can be made in a few minutes vs traditional hard copy inspections which would need to be reprinted or versions become obsolete. The email reporting and the web platform reporting makes it very easy to see if employees are completing their inspections. If there are faults, we can easily identity them to send on to the mechanic. We have been able to integrate it company wide very easily because of how dynamic the software is with adding new users, vehicles, locations, forms, etc.

Cons:

I would like a existing fault form that can be filled out for vehicles as they are added to the fleet or whip around is integrated. I would also like the ability to customize forms a little more with something such as a multiple photo option. I would also like a Manager version within the application. I would also like to see Whip Around continue to partner with telematics companies.

Very good program

Comments: Best program I have ever used

I love everything about this program from the maintenance side to the inspection process

Cons:

I have no bad things to say bad about this program. It take so used to get on how you use it but once you find out how it’s very easily navigated .

Makes my job a lot easier and organized

Comments: Since starting to use Whip, everything is so much better and easier, communication wise with my whole fleet. This really helps having 3 locations and I can see daily tracking of vehicles even when they're not right in front of me all the time.

Pros:

I love that everything is right in one program that I need to manage my fleet. It gets updated on the fly by myself or the drivers and other managers and keeps it pretty simple to stay on schedule.

Cons:

Maybe I haven't found out how to do it yet but the one and only thing I don't like is if a vehicle has a defect for a longer period of time, say a computer is down and we're waiting on parts for a while, that defect is recorded daily and it doesn't consolidate all dates reported for one repair on a work order. This causes me to have to go back and individually marks "Corrected" on the dates in order to keep the defect pie graph up to date and accurate

Comments: Whip Around thus far has been a great investment for my company. Customer service is fast and an actual person.

Pros:

The software is easy to implement and doesn't take much tech savvy to figure out. You are able to set your maintenance needs and inspection needs. Everything is adjustable to meet your needs.

Cons:

Being able to message the drivers. Maybe I don't know how to do it yet. But I would like to be able to set the maintenance needs of that asset and make sure the drivers receive a warning pertaining to just their truck.
