A robust backup management solution with an easy-to-use interface.
Comments: Overall, my experience with MSP360 Managed Backup has been quite positive. It's a solid, dependable solution that strikes a good balance between functionality and user-friendliness. The platform does exactly what it promises - manages backups efficiently without overwhelming you with complexity. While there's room for improvement in areas like restore speed, it generally meets expectations. It may not be revolutionary, but it's certainly a competent and reliable tool. For businesses looking for a straightforward, effective backup management solution, MSP360 is definitely worth considering. It's been a consistent performer in my experience, handling the crucial task of data backup with minimal hassle.
Pros:
The best thing about MSP360 Managed Backup, for me, was how user-friendly it was. I loved that I could easily set it up with different cloud storage services without any fuss. It made managing my backups a breeze - saved me loads of time and headaches. Plus, the interface was so straightforward that I didn't need to be a tech wizard to figure it out.
Cons:
The main drawback I found was that restorations could sometimes be sluggish, particularly when dealing with large amounts of data. It's worth noting that this isn't entirely MSP360's fault, since they don't actually store the data themselves - that's handled by whatever cloud storage provider you're using. Still, it'd be great if they could find a way to optimize the recovery process on their end. Maybe they could streamline how they interface with different cloud services or something. It's not a deal-breaker by any means, but faster restore times would definitely be a welcome improvement.

We've tried the rest, MSP360 is the best!
Comments: Over the past 15 years I've used many backup products and have seen many come and go from the likes of BackupExec, Acronis, and Veeam just to name a few. None are as affordable and simple to use as MSP360 Managed Backup. Most importantly MSP360 Managed Backup gives us a dashboard to view all out customers backup jobs and status instead of having to log into each backup system individually or rely on the very unreliable email alert. We love MSP360 and they have become our go-to partner for our clients' backups.
Pros:
Very simple to setup, constantly adding new & valuable features, nice dashboard to show all backup clients with their status, and I get to choose the storage provider all at a very affordable price.
Cons:
not really a con but would like better documented management APIs so that I can add new backup clients programmatically instead of using the web management.

Pros:
You can pick you own cloud storage. That is all i got.
Cons:
Unreliable. I had it for a year and only got 5 successful restore. I had issue with the service ever other week. I reach out to management and vendor support number of time but nothing change.

MSP360 Solution
Comments: My overall experience was positive. Reliability and ease of use stood out, although the initial setup was a bit complex. However, once set up, the system ran efficiently and smoothly.
Pros:
What I liked most about MSP360 Managed Backup was its reliability and ease of use
Cons:
The initial complexity of the configuration
Alternatives Considered:
It just works.
Comments: Very positive since implementation. No problems or complaints.
Pros:
It just works, and I don't have to spend time figuring out why I am getting errors or warnings.
Cons:
I'd like to see an easier method of on-demand file restoring without a restore plan.
They Got Your Back Up!
Comments: I've been with MSP360 for over 10 years. Our backup as a service offering wouldn't be possible without MSP360. The margins in this industry are razor thin and the competition is fierce. You need them on your team.
Pros:
Their platform is rock solid. So many new features, always new being added and their support is amazing.
Cons:
You do need to have some experience with cloud backup services and understanding of different OS platforms to maneuver the setup. Overall, once you get the hang of where everything is, it gets easier.

MSP360 is a great solution for MSPs
Pros:
The MSP360 managed backup is a very scalable backup solution that allows us to bring our own storage. They support just about every cloud and local backup storage target you can think of.
Cons:
Sometimes there are issues with software updates but they are usually resolved in a timely manner and the support is responsive.
Fantastic -- The service is exactly what it should be.
Comments: I was previously a Carbonite partner, and MSP360 Managed backup is an absolute breath of fresh air. It works, it is easily managed, the website is fantastic. I can easily restore, edit the backup scheme, and more from the website-- which is very responsive. The onboarding process was a cinch, the support is fantastic (not that I need it often). The pricing is more than fair, and gives you a lot of choice between different storage platforms. I personally use Backblaze B2, and it works so, so well.
Pros:
Price, ease of use, transparency, speed, and support are all top-notch.
Cons:
Honestly, I cannot fault this at all. Like anything that costs money, it could always be cheaper... but the price is extremely good.
Great product, scales, fast, easy to implement.
Comments: We love this product because it is easy to manage and easy to scale.
Pros:
It is easy to use and easy to setup. It is straight forward and the notifixations make sense.
Cons:
It is almost too eays so not really a con!

Best Bang for the Buck
Pros:
I really like the storage options if gives for backups.
Cons:
I have used many backup software in my career 20+ years and MSP360 offers the most for a small to mid size solution.

Extremely customisable and reliable
Comments: We have been using it for 5+ years and would have stayed if it wasn't good enough for our clients. It's also great to be able to brand the installation client for a professional look.
Pros:
It is very easy to use and offers a wide range of configuration options. Initial setup is quick and the costs are reasonable. It's also especially good to be able to pick multiple Cloud storage providers as well as having a local backup to NAS as an option.
Cons:
Some of the monitoring reports could be expanded upon, and also some of the Restore filters to enable to browse/search certain archived files could be improved.

Great product. Super Recomendado!
Pros:
Easy to use, affordable prices. Phenomenal accompaniment of executive commercial adviser!
Cons:
Its need to have Password protection to prevent user uninstall it.
Server Backup: The best and most flexible option despite some issues
Pros:
I'm focusing this review on the Server Backup edition of CB backup. It's incredibly flexible in terms of configuration and storage options. It will work with just about any cloud provider that you might need, including Backblaze B2. The interface is pretty good , at least compared to the competition. It's got some quirky elements, but I've been able to figure out how to do most things pretty easily. Basically, if you want to choose your storage provider separately and are looking for a tool to access that storage, that can work with different providers and offers multiple backup sets, it seems like the best choice, at least in this price range. The server backup edition offers OS backup, system state backup and bare metal backup restore, which is really nice. I'm using it on WHS2011, where I've previously had to cobble together a mix of Windows server backup and 3rd party options. So far it looks like I'll be able to do it all with Cloudberry which is great, and in addition, combine local and cloud backup flexibly.
Cons:
Backup version control could be improved. I've used crashplan in the past, which has abandoned its consumer market - but crashplan had excellent control of version saving so you could save more recent versions and less older versions - while always retaining some older backups in case you need to do a restore from an older period. Hopefully, CB will improve version control. Another issue for me is the business model. I'm not thrilled that I need a license for every single machine I want to backup - but the real kicker is that there is a 1TB limit on cloud storage with all the editions except the very expensive Ultimate edition. This is surprising at first because Cloudberry is not providing the storage! It is a purely arbitrary limitation that has nothing to do with software capabilities. These days, with large media files, 1 TB is not so large. You really have to search the website to even find this out - it's not described in the product specs. So $29 for the basic desktop version - but if you want to backup all those movies and music and home videos - the price goes up by 10x. On the other hand, they seem to be willing to release that limitation in exchange for a review, so that's okay. The progress bars are not very helpful - you can't really see how much is waiting to be backed up and it's difficult to see how much is currently in the backup storage. Beyond that major issue, I've run into some glitches - but nothing that keeps me from using the software.
Fantastic backup program that allows even novices to take control of backups
Pros:
As someone who is not particularly tech-savvy and saw the demise of Crashplan for consumers, I have been very happy to discovery Cloudberry backup. Among other things, Cloudberry gives even home-users some control over backups. Being able to encrypt data on the client-side with strong encryption BEFORE uploading to the cloud, being able to choose among numerous options for cloud storage that are out there without being locked into and completely dependent upon just one service, and being able to fine-tune numerous options in a backup plan are only some of the pros. Cloudberry also has great customer support. They usually respond to support tickets within 24 hours or less. This has especially been handy given that I knew next to nothing about backup software and the various options before encountering Cloudberry. The Cloudberry support folks have been very informative and patient! The Cloudberry interface is also very functional. For a novice without a technical background, the many options can sometimes seem overwhelming, but Cloudberry has good support documentation online (and great tech support as mentioned above). Over time and through continued use, one comes to see how fluid the interface is. While doing internet research, I stumbled across Cloudberry through a recommendation on some Security Now podcasts that extolled Cloudberry's encryption structure. Further research suggested Cloudberry has a great reputation. The product lives up to it!
Cons:
In fairness to Cloudberry, their target customer is probably not a home-user with 0 technical background who has trouble programming his DVR. Clearly, the Cloudberry software is loaded with the sort of options that tech folks and businesses are going to be interested in. As a result, they are never going to be able to write the software as simply a "point and click" kind of thing. That said, I do wish there was some sort of equivalent to "Backup Storage with Cloudberry for Dummies" or the like. It would be nice if there were some general articles not only describing how to access and use all of the various options the software provides, but also spoon-feeding to novices an assessment or suggestions about which options to choose and when and why. To be clear, great tech support and good backup documentation online allow for a novice to pick things up. But it does take some time and commitment.
Excellent alternative for enterprise file backup
Comments: Using this software has been a great benefit since we keep our information backed daily so that in the event of any server failure we will be calm, also because all the files that we upload to the cloud through this software are kept extremely secure by the encryption provided by it that someone can access them without our approval is really impossible and that gives us peace of mind to be able to focus on other activities.
Pros:
I like this software because it has aspects that make it really efficient at the business level, such as the speed it has when creating backups, since it doesn't matter where the files to which the backup is being created come from, it is No matter the size, the speed is the same, it may be able to create non-repeated backups because it has a very versatile function, also provides its users with support for a variety of backup sources as well as the that images from platforms such as Amazon S3 can be restored and the best thing is that if you have any questions about this software your support team provides immediate attention, this is how I consider this software to be ideal for business-level support because it gives everything you need and It is very easy to use .
Cons:
One of the disadvantages is that this software cannot be managed centrally, so it is not very easy to say that process, however, rather than something negative, I consider it something that could be implemented to facilitate its use even more.
Simple, Reliable Product
Pros:
Simple and easy to use. Everything you need is on one simple page.
Cons:
I really haven't found anything I really don't like, I would like to see a better data usage page per device.
MSP360 the easiest and safest way to make computer backups
Comments: We needed to back up all the computers in the office, without the need to hire outside help, so we purchased this software which turned out to be very good, easy to use and extremely secure with all the backups it backs up. A very efficient software to keep your files backup safe. It is also very easy to use without the need to hire external companies to do the job. The best of all is that if there is any doubt or inconvenience, the technical service will always be ready to solve it.
Pros:
It has a great backup capacity, since we were able to make backup copies of each computer in the company and although it took a long time to do it, due to the amount of information, it did not present any kind of inconvenience. The email alerts are very efficient, because they warn us if there is any problem in any of the machines. The technical support provided good support in the steps where we did not know how to perform any action when running the software.
Cons:
I had some errors when installing the software and some backups, but the technical support was very efficient in helping us with that. The prices are cheap if you look month to month, but you have to pay a whole year in advance, which is a considerable expense for some companies, especially start-ups.
Not great, but not bad. It does fill a niche not not a lot of other vendors do.
Comments: Backup data to local or remote destinations, even at the same time.
Pros:
It does a lot. Backs up to local storage, or any online storage you can imagine. Not many do that. And it works pretty well, but as with any backup software, there are occasional issues. Certainly not more than any other. It beats the pants off Backup Exec (I still can't believe people fork out so much for that, Cloudberry is a great replacement for Backup Exec). It is very reliable overall, rarely locks up or causes problems, and for backup software, that's saying something. I'm using it at several client locations to do local (NAS) and online backups.
Cons:
Tech support is very slow to respond. They're answers are generally appropriate, but don't get in a hurry. Frequently I have to go back and forth to get an issue resolved. A tech sup phone would be very helpful.
Alternatives Considered:
Great backup platform need improvement for monitoring and remote connexion
Comments: good product good support relatively cheap
Pros:
Easy to configure and managed. easy to deploy and great visibility on backup
Cons:
package to install connect should be worked on we need to able to build a package with all the options preselected . and the 2fa feature should be by client and not for every single computer.
Long term (7+ years) MSP user
Comments:
MSP360 (or Cloudberry as it was 7 years ago) is one of our longest vendor relationships and one I've never had to revisit.
We rely on the product for peace of mind, and as head of the company I appreciate it as much as my engineers do. Anyone in IT for a decent period of time has felt the gut punch feeling from a server issue and having to recover data from backups, MSP 360 has always had our back!
Pros:
We use MSP360 for most of our customers on a variety of platforms and servers. It's a mature product and one rely on.
Cons:
If pushed, I remember in the past there being a few times we had to chase support. But in the last 2 to 3 years this seems to have been addressed anyway.
No Cloud without CloudBerry
Comments: CloudBerry has been an essential component of our successful operations in AWS GovCloud. Hopefully, it will continue to deliver fantastic service now that it's owned by Microsoft. Thank you to the entire CloudBerry team for the assistance you've provided to us over the last seven years!
Pros:
Since we moved into the AWS GovCloud seven years ago, we have relied on CloudBerry for daily backups of our MS SQL Server database and our Perforce codebase. CloudBerry has been FANTASTIC! Great price, but more importantly, completely dependable and worth every dime. Support has always been quick and effective.
Cons:
I can't think of any issues that have been a problem.
Simple Set it and Forget It Installation
Comments: I need to run my business without being concerned that my backup data is secure and current. This software has allowed me a set it and forget it set up. Every so often I log into it and check the log files and it hasn't failed me. You can even set it to send you an email upon errors.
Pros:
The software was as simple as following the prompts to get rolling. I like that it has several destination options available to send the backups, that it allows for block back up, encryption, throttling as to not use computer memory or internet bandwidth during backups. You can select directories and exclude file types. It is pretty versatile.
Cons:
I can not say I have any con's on this particular software program because the fee was even one time, not monthly or annual.
Managed Backup
Comments: We're getting reliable backups to local and cloud storage at an affordable cost.
Pros:
Once setup and configured its very easy to use. Restoring data is very easy. Updates have improved the system and mase it easier to use along the way.
Cons:
It took some getting used to and experimenting to figure out some of the settings and features. Although I'm putting that under "Cons" I don't think that's any different than would be expected from every different system.
Staying away from your products
Comments: Had to quickly switch to another service due to the absurd price increase, resulting in many additional hours of work after being on your service for many years.
Pros:
Easy to setup, easy to use, just worked for the most part
Cons:
License pricing increase with no additional benefit, the account rep never responded to any of my follow ups about price matching prior to my legacy file backup license being done away with.
