Using for Global Operations Centre

4.0 4 years ago

Comments: Generally excellent tool to organize and coordinate shifts. Daily use, easy to follow and manage, flexibility and many options.

Pros:

Free version suitable for small team to try and use + availability - flexibility to update in case of more requirements. App + web and notifications... Generally we have not found better product so far for 24/7 operations team.

Cons:

Not really , suits our needs, if you need more reports you have to pay, what is normal and reasonable. Not sure if possible to have few different time zones in one schedule, based on location

A Streamlined Timeclock System for Billable Contractor Hours

5.0 8 months ago

Pros:

The timeclock system is very easy to use, and you can effortlessly apply filters to execute payroll and AR procedures.

Cons:

The customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Not all agents are bad [Thank you [sensitive content hidden] for saving us!], but most of the time the responses are generic, and provide no real solution.

Great employee scheduling system!

5.0 4 weeks ago New

Comments: Nothing bad to say about this software. Meets the needs of our company very well. It keeps staff organized and informed in a quick efficient manner.

Pros:

Easy to use and quick to learn. The payroll and time sheet feature are my favourite!

Cons:

Set up takes a little time. Adding employees when you first start up can be tedious.

Excellent with limitations...

3.0 5 years ago

Comments: As a scheduling software great. no need for the extra features.

Pros:

Easy access to distribute schedules and messages.

Cons:

Private messaging. Users can private message each other within Sling. If these messages take a negative turn. Sexual Harassment or something else. There is no way no monitor these messages. Unless a screen shot was taken there is no proof, because if the either of the user deletes the message it is gone.

Easy to Use

5.0 2 months ago

Comments: It's been great. Need to adjust some of the messaging settings, but overall it's been an easy transition for all.

Pros:

The best thing about Sling is the ease of use. It is very user friendly and easy to understand.

Cons:

I don't like how easy it is for the staff to send out messages to everyone in the building.

ED SLING SCHEDULING

5.0 11 months ago

Comments: It works with a staff of over 50 associates and makes scheduling much simpler with that number of staff. Covering 12- 15 different shifts per day in a 24/7 department.

Pros:

The ease all the staff can enter the dates they want to work, so schedules can be covered. Cuts down on phone calls of management to see who is available for uncovered shits and days.

Cons:

I would like the Staff- Off that day Days to be at the top of the Schedule so the person doing the scheduling would know who not to look for on that shift.

Agency Scheduling

4.0 last year

Comments: It's a cost effective scheduling dashboard, that I can personally recommend despite the occasional bug. It will help you organize staff and operations with a quickness - transitioning to this system was very easy.

Pros:

Transparent scheduling features, ease of use of the timeclock to report hours, and ability to modify reports through dates, locations, and employees.

Cons:

Customer service usually doesn't have an answer for you - although they are polite - I wish that some of these bugs we encountered were ironed out sooner than later.

Good for what we need!

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall, I'm glad we made the switch from HotSchedules, which is what we used previously. The way that is syncs with Toast POS and payroll is seamless, and it's easy to keep udpated or make changes on the fly. The app sometimes malfunctions, but I anticipate that being upgraded over time.

Pros:

As the person who makes the schedule for ~100 students working as part-time baristas, I like the functionality of making repeating shifts for a certain number of weeks. Color-coded shifts, job titles, and easily specifying tasks lists and job codes, makes for a clean look and clear communication for staff!

Cons:

There are a few things that I look forward to Sling being able to do in the future. One of those is for employees having the capability to offer up portions of their shifts instead of all or nothing. I also wish I could add in templates for specific days of the week (i.e. a "weekends" template and a "weekday" template). When holidays fall on different days of the year, it would be nice to have a specific schedule template saved that can just be applied so that I don't have to manually enter shifts for each of those days.

Using Sling changed my life

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Sling has been absolutely, hands down the best software we have ever adopted. I never feel frustrated with it and it helps save me time and irritations. My employees love it too! Best decision ever!

Pros:

I love how easy it is to create a schedule and see what employees are not available, it makes completing the schedule painless and quick. I also love that you can complete it as non-published then once you are ready publish it to your employees. The notification feature telling employees when you schedule them and then again reminding them they are schedule is fantastic; my employees love that feature also. Being able to use the integrated time clock is also a great feature. There are just so many feature and customizations that it would be an asset for any type of business at any size.

Cons:

I absolutely love this software. The only thing that would be nice to add is the ability for an employee to put their availability in addition to the current feature of unavailability. Because we have many employees who work "as needed" and "very part time" this would save a lot of time on their part on entering information. We could easily see when these "flex" employees would be available to work without them having to put in an excessive amount of unavailable entries as they do now.

Best roster software out there

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: The best roster software I have used. It just works. It works for Managers and supervisors, it works for staff.

Pros:

Easy to implement, staff take up was instant, support was as good as I have experienced.

Cons:

Some features need development, but they do not impact the overall experience. Great responses to suggestion for changes to the system.

Use it every day

5.0 2 months ago

Comments: Overall we really enjoy this product, it can be accessed anywhere on your phone so easy to check when your shift is.

Pros:

It's easy to use, it even gives text reminders for your shift if you enable it. There's a messaging system on it that allows staff to communicate.

Cons:

I wish there were more options for taking time off requests.

Cuts down on times spent on scheduling

5.0 11 months ago

Pros:

Love the fact that I can look out months out to see who I have off and when. It let's those who are on vacation know what their schedule is without calling the store. We can communicate with our employee's when we have a store meeting, if we have shifts

Cons:

My one and only issue is the cost. As a General Manager of one store, the overall company does not pay to use Sling so I am responsible for the bill. I am sure though, that a company as a whole would not have an issue with the cost.

Basic Sling is great

5.0 10 months ago

Pros:

Our company uses the basic level of Sling for scheduling. It’s nice to creat reoccurring shifts, allow employees to submit requests off, put daily notes in and to be able to trade shifts (with managementa approval). Not really sure how I put up with my previous way of scheduling. Sling has made it a breeze.

Cons:

No cons on the basic level - maybe if we paid for it, there might be a con?…

Recent Changes

5.0 last year

Comments: Very good but I need the return of quarterly intervals.

Pros:

I liked that I could record time at each quarter interval. This has been updated recently and is no longer useful to me as we calculate our payroll at each quarter interval. Please bring this functionality back.

Cons:

Not applicable as I like the functionality that I utilise. Please return the quarterly intervals.

Use Sling For Research.

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

Sling is a cheap cord cutting alternative. In our field we need to keep up with what is going on in the world. This is a great way to do it.

Cons:

It doesn’t save your place in a show. It makes you find it, again.

Best scheduling planner for free on the market, and premium has it all!

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: Since we are using Sling, our employees have the big picture what is going on. Everybody ca control easily when and where to work, how much they worked and can change duties, ask for free time and more. It makes it simple and is easy accessible.

Pros:

The scheduling works phantastic and is easy tu use. The mobile application is always syncronized, so people know immediately when things change. The interface is clear and well optimized. A great tool for everyday´s work.

Cons:

It works only online, no cache used on mobile apps. So when you don´t have mobile coverage, no data shown. Sometimes old data are better tha no data.

Ease of use and can work to make scheduling easier.

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: I am managing multiple shifts and when call off happen it is easy to get them covered.

Pros:

It to incorporate the free version into how I manage scheduling a work environment that runs 24/7/365.

Cons:

The free version could have more business functions available, since I cannot use a paid version because my company already has scheduling software that is a nightmare.

Sling Software Saved Me So Much Time!

4.0 4 years ago

Comments: I have used Sling for a few years now -- it meets my needs and goes above an beyond for the products it offers to the user. Sling support staff have been responsive to my needs and questions. A Great Product!

Pros:

Above all, I love that Sling has saved me so much time when making the schedule for my employees! Used to take 3-4 hours, now it only takes me approximately 1 hour to create a weekly schedule. Sling is accessible by computer and by mobile application. I love that it has many different colors for the different shifts that I need to create. Love that I can copy and paste shifts.

Cons:

I wish that the mobile application gave me a total count of hours for each employee. When approving an employee to pick up an extra shift, I currently need to go to a computer to see to total count of hours for that individual before I can approve. Wish I could see total count of hours on my phone, so that I can approve when I am initially notified (which is usually an app notification to my phone).

This one's a GEM!

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: FANTASTIC!

Pros:

Easy to use along with automated schedule reminders for employees is GREAT!

Cons:

"Shift Acceptance" tool should have the flexibility to use it as a "Shift Acknowledged" tool!
