"Mailchimp"
Comments: It has been helpful in my business. I use it to send out monthly newsletters and it has seemed to grow my business a little.
Pros: I really like the feature in which you can see who is viewing our monthly newsletters and who has unsubscribed and such.
Cons: I don't really know if there is anything that needs to be changed. I've had a general pleasant experience with this program.

"Simple email transaction"
Comments: If you are looking for simple email transaction integration with your app, Mandrill is one of the best. Though it's not longer available as an independent subscription, take advantage of Mailchimp for email marketing too. I wish the email log can be unlimited though.

"No Support Now That It's Part of MailChimp"
Pros: Mandrill is good for sending transactional emails and being able to set the emails up and forget them.
Cons: Mandrill used to have a more easy to use dashboard and interface and now that its rolled up under MailChimp, it's hard to find the things I used to be able to do.

"Mandrill gets the job done."
Comments: We started using Mandrill about 18 months ago and it worked just fine for us. We used it because we were bootstrapping a company and had a need for email but it was very minimal. We needed a good free service and Mandrill fit the bill... Then they switched their policy and eliminated the free tier. Bottom line - it's a really good service as long as you understand what you're paying for up front. We do understand the need to make money and but the transition from freemium to paid was not graceful. When we can spare the engineering effort we plan on moving away from Mandrill.

"Email marketing made easy."
Comments: Mailchimp is ideal for my company and it's compatible with lots of other softwares. I love it!
Pros: Mailchimp is easy to use. The templates and drag and drop features make getting the word out about my company a breeze. I also love the fact that I can schedule emails in advance to be sent out on their own, which saves me a ton of time. The option to create groups is also a plus when sending out exclusive emails.
Cons: I really haven't had any major complaints with Mailchimp. I've used it at previous jobs for years so when it came to using it for my own company, it was a no brainer.

"Very easy to use!"
Comments: So far we're happy with the Mandrill, it's just so easy to use and drag & drop builder works flawlessly.
Pros: Mandrill is a very reliable transactional email service, we've been using it for a while without any issues.
Cons: It's definitely not one of the cheapest options as they've increased their prices lately. We've been thinking about switching to another provider but haven't pulled the trigger yet because we've been used to using Mandrill.

"Your default transactional email service if you are a Mailchimp user"
Comments: Mandrill is good and stable, and if you use mailchimp already, I would give it a try as there are some cross-service features that make it worth.
Pros: Integrations with the mandrill side of things. Templates worked nicely and allowed faster iterations.
Cons: The interface was confusing at times. The API results were not completely visible from the administrator standpoint.

Comments:
In general they have a complete and easy to search knowledge base.
There is a reason why this tool is so popular.
Easy to use and feature rich.
Pros: It is intuitive software and has evolved in the email marketing category. It offers a clean interface and an amazing editor. It is all in one and a powerful tool. Best of all, you have the ideal free plan for small business.
Cons: You need to be very organized in organizing your contacts to not have problems. What bothers users is not having a chat or support email.

"Super important for sending transactional emails"
Comments: Overall Mandrill is a system we couldn't do without. I would recommend it.
Pros: I like that my developers can take care of it and it doesn't have issues like other systems might. It's nice to have peace of mind with my emails.
Cons: It's confusing that it's tied to a MailChimp account, so on our credit card statement, it says MailChimp instead of Mandrill. It would be nice to have it labeled more specifically so I can sort out my bills more easily.

Comments: The API is easy to use and the templates and versatile, but it doesn't seem that the product is making any new developments
Pros: Templating system is quite versatile with the ability to send parameters with the emails using the API
Cons:
- Mandrill doesn't store past emails for backup, even as a paid option
- the UI seems 10 years old, and not user friendly

"Reliable service for emails"
Comments: Send emails reliably and cheaply to users upon transcation
Pros: Transactional emails made easy. Emails are cheap, and a good admin interface to have visibility in to what has been sent or blocked
Cons: More robust block rules would be nice. Blocked emails need to be manually removed. I understand why mandrill does this, but would be easier if there could be custom rules

"Easy to use. Good basic email solution."
Comments: Overall a good experience. Easy to use and easy to set up. Easy to add on users.
Pros: Easy to import contacts. Easy to schedule emails to send out. Can customize emails easily and add buttons, photos, videos, very seamlessly. Easy to see stats after sending out emails and heat map of where people clicked.
Cons: Was unable to add sign up form directly from mailchimp onto my website. Had to use hubspot as a work around to get new email sign ups. Initially challenging to find everything but once you are familiar its very easy to navigate, copy emails, edit, and send out quickly.

Pros:
Very fast delivery with exceptional delivery rates;
Does a great job keeping reputation high;
Very nice dashboards and reporting;
Ability to segregate into sub-accounts;
Very easy to integrate with MTA's and API clients;
Great documentation;
Cons:
Domain validation could be made simpler;
Roles and permissions should be more flexible;
Once Mandrill got integrated with Mailchimp the pricing model became less attractive;

"Reliable transactional email"
Comments: We're using Mandrill for all our transactional email needs, as and endpoint in our API concentrator. It's proven to be very robust and reliable over the years.
Pros: Mandrill (now interated inside Mailchimp) has been a solid and reliable transactional email provider, with great delivery rates, very slow spam scores and ultra-fast reception speed. It provides useful and flexible reports and great dashboards too.
Cons: In order to keep it's spam reputation high it takes some effort to set up a new email domain in Mandrill. You have to prove you own the DNS and configure a SPF/DKIM record.

"Rolled out a ton of new tools recently"
Comments: Overall, Mailchimp has been a fantastic tool for our email marketing. The platform is sleek, easy to use, and can be learned very quickly. We are excited to explore the new tools Mailchimp is rolling out.
Pros: We've used Mailchimp for the past 4 years to communicate with our audience. Mailchimp is one of the best email providers around. Their platform, support, and reliability are top-notch. We rarely ever have issues when using Mailchimp.
Cons: Honestly, they've rolled out so many new tools recently we haven't been able to keep up. Our team is small, so we don't always have the time and resources to keep up with all of the updates.

"Benefits of Mail Chimp Transactional Emails"
Comments: Overall my experience has been pleasant and supportive for the non profit I work for. We will continue to use this company because they are always updating and making things better for its users!
Pros: Ease of building the template with examples in the Mail Chimp database gave me a great understanding of how to create graphics that would better align with the trends of today and how to better communicate with my donor base. Sometimes starting from scratch is intimidating but the support staff is very helpful and available.
Cons: Sometimes navigating where a campaign / eblast / structure is setup within the database can be tricky. Begin reading about the different setups within the database before building. I like to generate one look and duplicate for future endeavors. Sometimes I had a hard time locating the original in my Mail Chimp base.

"Good value for money, the perfect tool for small-medium size companies"
Comments: I manage several accounts for clients of my agency. Mailchimp is mainly used to send periodic newsletters.
Pros: Animated gifs and the tone of voice of the interface: they may seem silly things, but when you're stressing because you have to push a button and send thousands of emails to your contacts, the picture of the chimpanze clicking the button for you helps to relax. The platform has all basic features needed to manage small-medium size databases. Marketing automation features let you manage transactional deliveries and automate many tasks and communications (this is especially useful when you have an e-commerce). Web hooks and especially the direct integration with Facebook lead forms are of course a big plus.
Cons: It is a basi tool, suitable to manage small-medium size databases. Bulk operations on the database and advanced data manipulation tools are mostly missing. I like the graphical UI but you need some time and training before you really feel comfortable with it (especially, knowing where to look for the info you need)
