"ZipRecruiter is still going strong!"

Comments: ZipRecruiter is great for assisting our clients in smaller to mid-size markets where we don't have a large candidate flow already in place. ZipRecruiter lets us target candidates with greater detail than other services. Example: Targeting a specific suburb or zip code of Chicago instead of (LinkedIn) "The Greater Chicago Area" - This ability to dig into locations and source from the database is outstanding!

Pros: Overall ZipRecruiter seems to be experiencing a resurgence in attracting high caliber applicants within the service industry from what I've seen overall in the last year. The database is another great tool that gives us access to candidates that we wouldn't get on other platforms such as Indeed. Not only that, but I feel it's a higher level of professional candidates across the board. The user interface is very easy to learn and you can customize alerts to your liking.

Cons: I felt for a while the site was a little dated, but it appears that they've modernized their look, user interface and are still able to attract top-notch talent. I think the value for service is greater when you're able to buy in larger quantities than on an individual basis, but that's the nature of the business.

"Although Expensive, ZipRecuiter is Well Worth it!"

Comments: Overall, my experience with ZipRecuiter has been very positive. The service is easy to use and very valuable when needing to find job applicants quickly.

Pros: ZipRecuiter's ability to post job openings to tons of job boards instantly makes it incredibly easy to receive an impressive volume of resumes within a couple of days.

Cons: Although worthwhile, ZipRecuiter is fairly expensive and not something I have an ongoing subscription to. Additionally, I have also had some issues toggling between my employer and personal accounts.

"Easiest Job Application site I've come across"

Comments: Overall this software is a 10/10. I have never had any problems locating employment since I have begun my search using ZipRecruiter. I use this software to locate potential jobs I may be interested in to review requirements and jobs I want to apply to right away.

Pros: ZipRecruiter interface is super easy to use. From personal experience I can say ziprecruiter is reliable and a very legit job search engine. Compared to the other sites on the market, I have gotten more responses from submitted applications here than anywhere else. I like how applying is as easy as 1-2-3. ZipRecruiter has an amazing one-click apply function on the website which submits your resume automatically, saving you the headache of retyping or refilling out applications with the same information provided in your resume. The trending searches is also a favorite of mine because I can easily find jobs in seconds.

Cons: Honestly I feel if any changes are made to this software it would be more of a downgrade than anything. I absolutely have no complaints in regards to ZipRecruiter. I rave to all of my family and friends about the successes I have made since using this software.

"Zipidty"

Comments: I was very satisfied with ziprecruiter foe a job myself and looking for contractors for many jobs in life.

Pros: Thank you I really like the fact that its like a one stop job shop to search a wide variety of of jobs and or contractors. It helps boom the business of sales in a wide area of life.

Cons: I don't enjoy the fact that it has its glitches or crashes. And or the photos you get the correct ones and they make you do it over and over.

"For me, ZipRecruiter features stand out and rise above the rest."

Comments: I am still evaluating the benefits, however, based on the features I have seen so far, and the ease of use - compared to the rest, it is currently the goto job search/employment application.

Pros: Like most job search sites, ZipRecruiter has the expected features for filling out a profile and uploading a resume. It does, however, have some really great standout features. The tailored suggested job notifications seem to really be in line with the types of positions that are appropriate based on recent searches or key-words. Far too often job alerts from other job search sites are a bit or way off-base from what the intended search goal is. The feature I like best is the notifications that alert you if your resume has been viewed, or if a viewer has given a thumbs up. Additionally, the metrics offered when a resume is viewed multiple times is great. For example, an alert may say "Your resume was viewed a second time - only 25% of applicants have a second view." I think this helps applicants keep a positive outlook and return to using the product. With other job search sites, after sending a resume, you are left in the dark. To top it off, this information is available whether you use the website or the ZipRecruiter mobile app. I use the Android version of the app, and the ZipRecruiter notifications are notifications I look forward to.

Cons: ZipRecruiter offers quite a full-featured job search product, and it is my favorite. If there was an area for improvement, I would say it is the references section. It would be nice to be able to either link to existing references and carry them over (for example via Linkedin) or copy and paste a reference with contact info for verification as an additional option rather than only having the option to ask for a reference.

"If it's free, its ME!"

Comments: One of the best sites I say to look for work out there that gives the user the ease of clicking and splitting. Looking for a job is stressful enough and you need to market yourself out there by putting in those applications at a larger scale. I highly recommend this site. Get your job search/hunt done in 20 minutes!

Pros: For one, the fact the site is absolutely free and has no strings attached when you are sending out applications. It is a stress-free website that has a user-friendly interface making it much easier to make customizations to your account, without searching everywhere. When you are out looking for a job, you don't want to waste so much time on ONE application, when let's be real, we need to put out 20 or 30 to get considered. This site actually allows you to click and split!

Cons: Some of the ads can be annoying getting you to apply to some marketing agency. But just make sure to really read the description before clicking.

"Millennial switching industries."

Comments: Overall I’ve gotten more calls for interviews through this job board than anywhere else. This is definitely my go to over Indeed, Craigslist, etc.

Pros: I like that there are updates about most everything. I.e. when or how many times you resume is viewed, if the job has been closed and who you’ve sent your resume to but haven’t heard from. I can also easily share my resume.

Cons: My only critique is that I was the app was a bit more visually pleasing. Other than that, I have no complaints.

"Not as helpful as I thought"

Comments: While zip recruiter did help me find many job postings, the postings that came up in my searches did not always apply to the position that I was looking for nor did they necessarily apply to the search dates and I was therefor often shown postings for jobs that were more than a month old and would likely not even be available anymore. The site was not nearly as helpful in finding a job as I thought it would be.

Pros: ZipRecruiter is easy to use and it does provide a decent amount of employment opportunity postings.

Cons: My biggest issue with ZipRecruiter is the reliability of the employment opportunities listed. Many times I have seen job postings and clicked on them only to find that they were actually misleading staffing agency postings that were posted in order to lure people into applying for a job that did not exist. Also, I did often find job postings that did not fit within the search range that I had put in as far as the date of the job posting was concerned.

"Great Way to Find a Job"

Comments: ZipRecruiter makes it easy to apply to many jobs with their Quick Apply button, there is not a better way to find a new job.

Pros: The best part about ZipRecruiter is that as an applicant you feel like your application is not being missed and is going out to all the right places.

Cons: ZipRecruiter does feel like it is catered to companies that are hiring, rather than the candidate, so many of the features are built for the hiring party.

"For so much more than just hiring."

Comments: To start, nothing beats having a software turn out to be both easy and fun to learn, so when I came across ZipRecruiter as being a potential option for reaching candidates for open positions within the company I had to try it out. The entire process went as smoothly as you could imagine, with every step laid out with an incredible amount of detail and explanation to back it up. I was a bit nervous at first due to my lack of previous experience with hiring softwares, but that didn’t end up mattering at all because once I started to get into the groove of inputting all of the information into our company’s very first job posting, it felt as if I had known how to operate this program all along. I can’t begin to explain what a relief that was for me after having dabbled with other programs of the category and failing miserably at creating what the owner was looking for. I check in on our company account every day to see who has applied to open positions, which is another feature they have made to be easy enough for the newest of users to learn in no time at all.

Pros: The best part of the software was how well it does with introducing you to the way it works and takes you through each step of the process so nothing gets left to your imagination. They send updates and notifications to your email inbox that direct you to leads matching the criteria you input into your search.

Cons: I honestly feel as though it would be wrong to say that I have found something about this software that hasn’t hit the mark for me, because every time I have used it I have grown more fond of it and all that it does for me and for the company I work for.

"One of best job portals"

Comments: Good aoftware for people in the job search phase because of ease of use and accuracy in job recommendations

Pros: Easy to use and navigate. Job matching feature is good and more accurate than other tools I used. Job email list at end of day is great.

Cons: Scope for improvement in the accuracy of the job recommendations and or job matching. Great otherwise

"Its competitve"

Comments: I have used it in the job searching and hiring process. I think it is expensive for companies to use unless its through a partnership like ADP to try it out. I also think candidates have a hard time uploading all their information

Pros: 1 stop shop for job searches and candidates. Also to compare your company to others and see reviews of what each job task looks like. great to get information easily.

Cons: There are other platforms I like to use better. For example - LinkedIn is free and allows you to create a more extensive profile. I also like the layout much better.

"Good, but could be better!"

Comments: I like this software, but it could be and needs to be so much better. I get prospective job listings, but then those same jobs are also listed on all the other job boards too.

Pros: The 1-click apply is a nice feature. I love that there is an app for the phone available. ZipRecruiter has teamed up with Google and ADP to allow the best possible results for job seekers and those needed to hire.

Cons: Suggested jobs show jobs that (in job title) list keywords that do not exist in my resume (example: engineer). Jobs dismissed previously return when you search again. There should be an option to exclude jobs previously dismissed. Jobs I have already applied appear in suggested jobs, and it is not until I click on "1-click apply" that I then see "You have applied". There should be a feature to "tag" the jobs you have applied 1) at the company website or 2) from another job board (LinkedIn, indeed, etc,...). I do not want to be applying to the same role from multiple jobs, and most companies and/or recruiters post everywhere. On the mobile app (android), the jobs without the 1-click apply have issues loading the job description. I would like to be able to review the description, and then save the jobs I am interested in for when I can get to my computer and apply.

"ZipRecruiter To the Rescue!"

Comments: My overall experience with ZipRecruiter was a positive one. If you're looking for a strong tool to connect your company to candidates with specific skillsets, this is the tool. I was able to find and fill a need in a particularly difficult industry to find high level analytical persons but Zip was able to locate very strong candidates that I wouldn't have seen through the regular channels. Thanks Zip!

Pros: The aspects of the software I enjoyed the most are the user friendliness and organization of the different capabilities. I was in a tough situation trying to tediously find candidates and once I got a hold of utilizing zipRecruiter , I was in a much better position. Zip allowed me review more appropriate candidates that fit my area of needs. Not only did it find the right candidate for me, that candidate continues to grow and I believe it's because Zip was able to connect my needs with the candidates skill sets.

Cons: What I liked least about the software was the abundance of communications I would receive as alerts. This is a setting but it took me a few attempts to be able to control the amount coming my way. Yes, I was happy that I was being alerted but it felt no different than the generic approach of receiving emails.

"Great for applicants and businesses alike!"

Comments: I've used ZipRecruiter both as a job applicant and the operator of a small business looking to hire workers, and I had positive experiences on both ends. As an applicant, it was easier to use than most job sites, and I actually felt as if I was getting recommended to relevant jobs, rather than just being another number in the system. It's also far more user-friendly and less susceptible to spam/scams than, say, Craigslist. As a small business operator, this was great for finding relevant workers whose background I could actually see, rather than just receiving an anonymous email from someone who may or may not be qualified for the job. It was easy to find qualified candidates, and I didn't have to sort through hundreds of people to find the right one.

Pros: I love the user interface, and how easy it is to navigate both for job seekers and businesses. I appreciate that everything is categorized by job title, location, salary, etc., which makes it easy to find what you're looking for. As a business owner, it's nice to have multiple pricing plans based on your needs, and they're not too expensive considering the service you get.

Cons: I can't really think of anything I didn't care for about ZipRecruiter. I suppose I could complain that they're not a free service, but for the results and convenience you're getting, it's worth the relatively low price they charge. I mean, if you want a free product and don't care about wasting your time sorting through unqualified applicants, there's always Craigslist...

"GREAT FOR HIRING"

Comments: I would recommend to anyone looking to hire. They really take care of you here at zip recruiter and it makes it super easy.

Pros: I like how it’s easy to use and upload job postings. It also recommends to leads that would be the perfect fit for your job listing.

Cons: I have a lot of people apply using this software but they don’t show up for interviews. Maybe the candidates are not vetted enough.

"Effective Means to Get Quality Applicants"

Comments: Quick and efficient method of finding potential new hires.

Pros: It delivers on the promise of quality candidates. Overall quality of candidates better than other sites we tried. Easy to use and set up. Free trial a plus.

Cons: While better than other offerings it still let through a few applicants which were not ideally suited for the jobs we posted.

"Effective Job Finding Tool"

Comments: My overall experience has been pretty good, but not that much different than other competitors, like Monster or Indeed or LinkedIn. The major problem with all of these sites is that there is very little personal attention. You put your resume on the sites and search for jobs and apply. But the jobs you get sent as possibilities are usually not very accurate in terms of what you might actually be looking for, and a lot of times it feels you get sent emails for potential jobs simply as advertising for the site, rather than any actual work being done to find real jobs you care about. I understand major job searching sites like this might not necessarily have time or capacity to truly help you find a job you like. But it would be nice if they could find a way to make the process more focused and intelligent, rather than feeling like you are just throwing your resume on a site and hoping for the best.

Pros: It is really easy to set up your profile, upload your resume, and add skills. Then the job searching tool is very effective and easy to use, and it has numerous filters to help you find the specific jobs you are looking for, including allowing you to only find jobs within a certain mile radius of your home, which is very helpful. Overall, the interface is very user-friendly, welcoming, and technologically-sound.

Cons: My one major criticism is with the selection of jobs the site sends you as possible jobs you might be interested in. Most of the time it feels like there is very little thought to what you are being sent, and I end up deleting these notifications almost immediately every time since the jobs aren't really what I've been searching for (but I keep getting the notifications just in case one is something I'm interested in, which occasionally happens). I wish the site would do more to find jobs tailored to what I am looking for, rather than feeling like they are spamming me with info just to remind me they exist.

"User friendly recruiting software"

Pros: - Easy to use for novice HR professionals
- We've had lots of applicants to our positions, nearly 10x as many as if we hadn't used the platform
- Notification system is great, we're never in the dark once someone applies
- Great search functionality and the ability to filter through candidates easily

Cons: - Customer support is a bit lacking. I found we had to wait several days to get answers we were looking for.
- There can be quite a few spam applicants, so you might have to spend extra time vetting the applications that come in which can be annoying.
- Would be nice to have custom templates for applicants to copy/paste their resumes into
- Specialized positions tend to be harder to fill with ZipRecruiter, but that may just be due to the nature of the position

"Want more candidates? Use Ziprecruiter!"

Comments: Overall, Ziprecruiter is a great tool that helps us in our recruitment efforts. It drives more inbound candidates, and is a good addition on top of sourcing and outreach of candidates. Let us remember that not all candidates are on LinkedIn, and with that, we still need the help of Ziprecruiter.

Pros: Ziprecruiter is one of the job posting websites where we put the job openings we are recruiting for. What I like most from Ziprecruiter is the easy process they've provided to recruiters like us in posting job ads. Ziprecruiter is also very famous to job seekers so once we post our job openings there, we got a lot of inbound candidates. I also like the email notification that I receive from Ziprecruiter whenever I receive inbound candidates because aside from providing you the summary of the application or the candidate, it also attaches the candidate's pdf or word resume.

Cons: What I least like about Ziprecruiter is its basicness. It is not timely to millennial job seekers now. I hope Ziprecruiter update their job posting database so that we can add design and catchy colors to our job postings rather than sticking to the normal boring job postings.

"Review on Zip Recruiter."

Comments: Overall Zip recruiter has been very helpful in allowing me to reach out to companies who are hiring and getting my name out in the work community.

Pros: The pros of Zip Recruiter include being able to search for your intended type of work with ease as well as receiving daily job alerts via text on jobs that match your resume and experience.

Cons: The cons of Zip Recruiter include sometimes receiving job leads that don’t necessarily fit your experience or even interest. I hate opening my phone to 10 job possibilities and none of them are of interest to me.

"Easy Job Board to use as an employer"

Pros: I like that this job board lets candidates see a company logo bubble for each position. When it comes to marketing jobs, being able to see the company logo is very important and can be the difference between recognizing a company and applying for a position versus not applying for the position at all. Adding company description, job title and compensation to a job posting is incredibly easy and user friendly.

Cons: My biggest complaint is that there aren't more options when it comes to posting compensation. In some cases I would like to add additional information like a figure for potential bonus or a figure for an average commission. My other complaint is the ZipRecruiter almost makes it too easy for candidates to apply for jobs. People are applying for jobs without actually looking at what they are applying for. This is a pro and a con to some. Having the 1-click and apply method sometimes doesn't do me any good when looking at candidates because I know a majority of these people didn't actually take the time to look at the job description and its requirements.

"Very Helpful Way to Hire"

Comments: Overall the software has been very useful to our business.

Pros: With ZipRecruiter you're assigned a specialist that will work with you hands-on to create the appropriate profile to attract the right hire which is a tremendous help. Additionally, the software will send out alerts to candidates within their database that they identity as potential matches so your ad is able to reach more people.

Cons: While the services and platform provided by ZipRecruiter are useful, the price and requirement for a contract is a bit of a nuisance. Another potential drawback would be that ZipRecruiter doesn't enforce consistency with candidate profiles. There have been instances where I've received applications with no resume, no demographics, and no screening questions completed. There should be a way to restrict an application from anyone that does not meet a minimum threshold of information provided.

"Great Recruiting Site"

Comments: Very user friendly software that is normally very effective.

Pros: ZipRecruiter is such a user friendly recruiting software for my HR department and the applicants applying for jobs. I will continue to use now and in the future.

Cons: The software has not be as efficient as it has been in the future. For instance I had two top candidates that were offered the job but did not accept because the salary was incorrect from what we were offering.

"Great App"

Comments: Great app that has helped me generate and secure some good interviews and opportunities: wish they had more responsive employers

Pros: It helps you to reach a more broader spectrum of opportunities jobwise.

Cons: Need to better filter employers and boot the non responsive ones who have spread themselves thin and are wasting job seekers time.
