A good option for SMEs

4.0 8 months ago

Comments: A good value option for SMEs- it will cover the basic functions you need and enable you to run basic marketing campaigns but won't give the added functionality of the more complex options out there. At the same time, it is priced quite low at the entry level so may fit your needs!

Pros:

It covers all the bases- customisation, data import and export and all the basic features you would expect and I found it intuitive to use

Cons:

It is lacking in some areas- automation workflows for marketing campaigns, and lead scporing on the entry level offer

12 good years of using Insightly CRM

5.0 6 months ago

Comments: I love it. If not for Insightly I'd be using spreadsheets and going crazy trying to track my long list of clients that includes boiler system bids, direct commercial and industrial system sales, building and maintaining relationships with mechanical engineers and architects, and a good number of residential boiler prospects.

Pros:

Insightly's design is intuitive and easy to understand how to set up. I recall starting to use it on the first day, right after an initial walkthrough. We did not hire anyone to assist. Then I evolved the setup as time went by. Opportunities & Projects are key to us and with good naming practices they are easy to refer to as needed in the future after completion: such as "2023..Smith Company-New boiler project". And all parties connected to a Project can be linked so easily. Attach price quotes to it: ours to the client and supplier to us. Automatic tasks when you change from Opportunity to Project can alert others to place orders, put into our financial software, etc...

Cons:

They like to push their AppConnect but we really don't need that level of complexity AND they have lots of built-in interfaces into other apps like Quickbooks (which is limited but great for small business situations where elegant interfaces are not needed. Also, we tried their Service apps and found them lacking for the kind of Service that my company does: We install boiler systems and provide ongoing services for them--not free or by annual contract. So we needed a way to easily send invoices and collect $ for work done. Insightly seemed to be oriented to Software service contract situations where annual contracts are the norm and all interactions are free and nobody leaves the office. I suppose it is good for that but not so much where you have trucks driving 100 miles to do a repair.

Poor quality, high cost

1.0 last year

Pros:

They offer sufficient customer support for setup and management

Cons:

The entire interface and user experience is very poor. Cost is very high for a low quality product that looks 10-15 years old!

Decent CRM but requires discipline

4.0 7 months ago

Comments: Insightly was being used for various marketing and sales data processing and activation tasks when I joined, and the account was a real mess because there was little control over who could edit which fields. As a result, no-one was following a consistent lead and opportunity management process, things like date fields became a nightmare because when exporting leads, some appeared to be using US date format and some using UK format, so identifying recent leads & opps was tricky.

Pros:

The sales pipeline views were good because you could have lots of different pipeline views with filters and segmentation options applied without having to add them every time. It was easy to see pipeline value, create new fields and to move opps from one stage to another. Equally it was great for setting up automated email follow ups from demos and integrate with lots of other tools.

Cons:

The lack of user management and access customisation means it is too easy to let poor spiral out of control and ruin your data. Equally the dashboards/Reports section really needs work as it’s unnecessarily difficult to create reports and dashboards for very simple metrics.

Insightly Works GREAT for our Org

5.0 8 months ago

Comments: We have evolved from the early days of our organization and Insightly has evolved with us. As we learn its capabilities, we continue to find functions and create objects that increase our efficiency every day.

Pros:

We have used Insightly for 8 years now and it has been so user-friendly to build our Program database. From the customizable fields to the reporting features, it does everything we need for it to do. Insightly has helped us to streamline our processes, making our mission easier to manage every day. And the reporting features have allowed us to provide every kind of data to generous supporters who in turn donate to our mission.

Cons:

To get some of the features we are using today, the cost has increased significantly.

Insightly is good, but there are better CRMs out there

4.0 6 months ago

Comments: Insightly is great a simple every day tasks, but does not handle complexity very well.

Pros:

I like the collaboration capabilities with API via Appconnect, AutoCAD, BricsCAD, Loveland Innovations IMGING, etc

Cons:

The cap of fields in a custom object, the automations not triggering correctly -> you have to delay triggers so that automations do not overlap and contradict each other. Sometimes automations to not trigger at all. There are a lot of holes and catch reports that need to be created.

Super Easy

4.0 7 months ago

Pros:

Insighty is super easy to use. Being able to set tasks to know who you are chasing/following up means that it's all in one place and you do not have to depend on your outlook calender.

Cons:

Reports are good but can be a bit difficult to set up.

App Connect

5.0 6 months ago

Comments: Overall we are very pleased with Insightly and App Connect

Pros:

App Connect is amazing. It really does help with efficiencies and workflow. It does so much more than we initially thought! We especially love how it automatically calculates our numbers.

Cons:

It is not as user friendly as it is made out to seem. We really do need the App Connect specialist's support. App Connect is very expensive. We are going through our 10 free hours quickly and we have a lot more project we need help with.

Good for a small company

4.0 6 months ago

Pros:

I like the project management, pipelines, and the ability and ease of adding tasks and comments to various objects.

Cons:

There are so many objects and fields, it takes new users a while to get accustomed to the interface. It also does not have intuitive searching and looks for verbatim entries

Insightly - We're Back Again

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: We love Insightly and have solved the major issue of project management as well as integration with Quickbooks so we can have a high level overview of each project, opportunity, and where we are with the quickbooks billing. It saves us a lot of time and removes a lot of human error in our processes as well.

Pros:

The ease of tracking multiple types of projects and stages of the project and the visibility of each project's status. We tried Hubspot for two years and came back with Insightly as it was so much better to use.

Cons:

The marketing function, and the products, pricebooks, and quotes could use some additional features compared to their competition. They aren't as easy to use and can be clunky at times.

Insightly Review

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall, my experience with Insightly was positive. The platform provided a robust CRM solution that helped me streamline my customer relationship management processes. The user-friendly interface and comprehensive features allowed me to effectively manage contacts, track communication, and collaborate with my team. The reporting and analytics capabilities provided valuable insights into my business performance. Although there were limitations in customization options and room for improvement in customer support, my overall experience with Insightly was satisfactory. It contributed to improving my efficiency in managing customer relationships and driving business growth.

Pros:

One of the things I liked most about Insightly was its comprehensive CRM functionality. The platform provided a user-friendly interface that made it easy to manage and track customer relationships. The contact management features allowed me to store and organize all relevant customer information in one place. I also appreciated the seamless integration with email, allowing me to track and log communications with clients. The task and project management capabilities were robust, helping me stay organized and collaborate effectively with my team. Additionally, the reporting and analytics tools provided valuable insights into my sales pipeline and overall business performance.

Cons:

While Insightly had many positive aspects, one thing I liked least was the limited customization options. I found that certain aspects of the platform, such as the dashboard and report customization, were somewhat restricted. It would have been beneficial to have more flexibility in tailoring the system to fit specific business needs. Additionally, the customer support could be improved. There were instances where I encountered technical issues or had questions, and the response time and resolution process could have been more efficient.

It does the job but there is possibly better out there

4.0 2 years ago

Pros:

The task and project management works well (even though it could be improved upon).

Cons:

As a dedicated CRM system I feel it’s not the softwares strongest element. There is definitely better out there but as a joint package it makes up for its flaws.

Creative Alliance Review

Comments: Our daily task scheduling, contact database management and tracking our sales have been simplified by Insightly so thank you to the makers of this software.

Pros:

Insightly has given us an ability to keep track of all our sales and all our clients' contact details so that we can contact anyone promptly. It is one of the bets CRM softwares and it is free for limited users and we don't need more users in our company so this software has become very useful to us.

Cons:

There is not much cons but just one that we have found. Email integration could be improved. Other than that it is fine.

Insightly>Not just a CRM Tool but a Partnership

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: The Insightly team are some of my favorite people. They are always willing to help and assist with the company objectives we are working on. In my opinion, customer service and support are key in any partnership and Insightly makes us feel valued and like we are partners. My experience with the tool and Insightly is absolutely a positive one!

Pros:

First, the simplicity of Insightly has been key in internal adoption of the tool for the company. Insightly is my go to tool for keeping my day planned with tasks. Secondly, the customization Insightly allows with the custom objects has really allowed a level of visibility within the company that we simply did not have prior to partnering with them. This tool is quickly becoming a key focus for the organization as it allows for the operational team to automate key operational processes which in turn increases quality, decreases risk, and decreases labor costs.

Cons:

Expanding the automated workflow options would be of great value to organizations. Additionally, the limitation on page layout rules can be challenging. Making this unlimited would be a preference for the organization.

Comments: Overall experience is not good as compared to Netsuite by Oracle or Salesforce.

Pros:

The software looks good, and easy to use.

Cons:

The software stuck a lot when multiple users use at same time.Software stuck when we edit 2 things fastly and jumping to another option. When we upload leads most of the time leads upload twice which makes duplicate leads. There is no option of task reminder. There is no option of timing when the notes added at that particular date.

Best CRM

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

Very customizable and able to tailor the platform to fit the needs of sales. Straightforward pipelines. Lead/contact management is crucial to our business, and this platform helps store them in one spot which can easily be looked up. Email leads/contacts straight from the platform with pre-written messages.

Cons:

The email notification about tasks being updated or changed could be cleaned up. 3 seperate emails for someone updating a task, the pipeline moving to a different stage, and a new task for me. Would like this to be more simplified, especially if someone uploads a file into my opportunities - too many email notifications to sort through.

Comments: I'm very satisfied on using the software. I'll definitely recommend this to other company.

Pros:

It's very accessible and easy to use. No need to do so much things just to use the software. And I couldn't imagine that we can make our jobs easier by using this software. I am very much grateful.

Cons:

I know that every software has so much to improve. And I know Insightly has been working so much to improve but one thing of the cons is some of it has delays specially if there's some changes on info.
