PayChex is one of the best and easiest payroll programs

Comments: Payroll processing is tedious and time-consuming, but PayChex simplifies things significantly. Having a professional create and update the guidebook for you is also a huge assistance.

Pros:

Payroll processing for my business can be done whenever I want, the interface is intuitive, and all employees have access to their own data for purposes of audits and tax filings. The time I used to spend on payroll and tax preparation is now mine. I was relieved to have access to Paychex reports when a PPP opportunity presented itself.

Cons:

They're doing their best to improve the system, but in the meanwhile, it can be inconvenient to use while they work on it.

Comments: It has been a great experience and very efficient to use Paychex from their portal and get to all the features it lets you manage.

Pros:

Paychex has a great user interface that makes it easy to find all the resources I need to manage my time, benefits and employee approvals for time off.

Cons:

One challenge is finding the right support agent for the issue I am having. It can take some time to get connected.

Useful application, but room for more flexibility

Comments: Overall I think it's good, but of course there is room for improvement on how flexible it really can be for users.

Pros:

My favorite thing is that I can see all my tax forms on Paychex, that way I don't need to worry about losing my papers or asking someone for another copy.

Cons:

I don't like that it limits how soon you can clock in and out. Sometimes I go on my break, but minutes later they ask me to come back and help someone else. But because you have to wait a bit before you can clock back in, it blocks you. Or at least that has been my experience.

Comments: I like Paychex, especially their customer service. I get assigned a payroll specialist who is dedicated to our team here. We also get a dedicated HRBP who helps us with compliance issues and make sure that we are utilizing all of the Paychex offerings available to us. She alone has made our jobs a lot easier. I can't say enough about Paychex Customer Service. I have a direct email to my Client Services Rep and they respond in minutes, plus they are professional and NICE! They are patient and work along side us to solve problems and give solutions. It's seriously like the Chik-fil-a of HRIS systems when it comes to Customer Service.

Pros:

Ease of use and product offering is well rounded, great for a mid-sized company like ours.

Cons:

The reporting is awful. It's a very inflexible system and literally my only complaint about the entire product. I wish they could get this right, it would elevate my experience 10 fold.

Comments: Paychex Flex as a desktop website and a mobile app works very well with keeping employee information and pay as portable and in the realm of ease of use. I think it integrates well for many companies, and is super simple to use compared to other systems

Pros:

Paychex Flex is very easy to use for employers and employees alike. It is one of the easiest payroll systems I've used to date.

Cons:

I didn't like the login issues, as I had one quite a bit.

Paychex Flex Review

Pros:

Intuitive software to see the paychecks and how much sick time off I have! If you are looking for a simple payroll tracker, Paycheck Flex would be a great tool for it.

Cons:

I have not utilized any other features than checking the weekly payrolls (I much I got paid) and sick time, so if you expect any other advanced features, there would be another better choice than Paycheck Flex.

Comments: From one to ten, I would rate Paychex a 7.

Very easy to use as admin member and the various reports.

Lacks in good customer service. Takes a while to get a response.

Comments: Quite good once I got used to knowing the interface. It was a little difficult of a break in period. Happy with all the options and information that the site can hold

Feel like the interface is stuck in 2007. Little older and somewhat tough to navigate at times. Organization on the site is not that great either. Once you get familiar, it is super easy, but have had difficulty breaking it in

Paychex review

Pros:

I liked how the website was laid out. I also like how easy the hiring tab was to use. I really liked how everyone's PTO was on one calendar that administrators could see.

Cons:

I did not like how if an employee used Paychex with a previous employer, it was very difficult to add them and separate the profiles.

My Paychex Review

Comments: Overall it's been a good experience. I have 10 years experience working on a variety of HRIS systems and this one was probably the easiest to pick up.

Pros:

It's very user friendly, support is easy to access. It takes less time to do end of the year reporting than with Advantage Payroll

Cons:

It's hard to get someone on the phone to answer questions, sometimes there is a revolving door of payroll specialists. Also the pressure to add on services such as the 401k and benefits.

Comments: Now that I understand the reports and ease of use I really enjoy doing payroll.

East to use. Dashboard has everything I need.

Cons:

Not a flex problem but having to reinvite staff multiple times until they register.

Paychex Flex Is Key!

Comments: Overall I am very happy with my experience with Paychex Flex this far. The ease of use is amazing, making the tradition from our old software easy. Loving all the new and different features too!

Paychex Flex is a very straightforward system that was easy to implement and even easier to use. It tracks time and makes payroll a breeze.

Cons:

So far we are really enjoying Oaychex Flex with no cons to report. We are new users, however.

Comments: We have always had very friendly and knowledgeable client service representatives. I appreciate them handling all of the details, so I can focus on my daily tasks. Paychex Flex has simplified my desk!

Pros:

We have been with Paychex for over 10 years. We started in 2012. They have been a great company to work with, easy to deal with any questions, stress free at year end!

Cons:

I was hesitant of the charges, but the service is totally worth what we pay. We have had multiple offers to change companies over the years, but I am not willing to lose what we can count on to try something new, even though they promise they will have the same service. I have had excellent service every year.....why would I want to change?

I haven't experienced any cons with this program. I don't anticipate this happening as it meets the needs that I have.

EASY FOR ALL

Comments: Overall has been my preferred payroll and time tracking. It is very user friendly and everything is conveniently sorted and categorized.

Pros:

Extremely user friendly. We have many employees who are not very tech savvy and they all seem to enjoy the ease of Paychex Flex.

Cons:

From the few years we have been using Paychex Flex I do not have much to complain or dislike about it.

Paychex Flex -- A Payroll Must-Have

Comments: Overall, I really like Paychex Flex. Even when I have an issue, I am able to call and speak with an agent who can resolve my issue. Their agents are very courteous and professional. They're even able to get everything squared away on just one call. They have excellent Customer Service and I really like the online portal. I would definitely recommend Paychex Flex to employers.

Pros:

The ease and convenience of the online access was great. it just made clocking-in and out, and keeping track of time so easy for me. I loved being able to see my total amount of worked hours approved by management for the next payroll cycle. Having an online portal which allows you to access your payroll time and your documents (pay stubs, W-2, etc...) all from one place, is a huge life-saver.

Cons:

Sometimes it will lock you out of your account. When you change/update the phone number on your account, it saves it to your online profile but for some reason it doesn't update their verification log. This means that when you attempt to login from your new phone and the system doesn't recognize it, it will naturally attempt to verify your identity, but unfortunately it attempts to send the verification text/call to the old phone number instead of the new one, despite having updated your account details online already.

Paychex Flex

Comments: We've been using Paychex Flex for almost 10 years now.

Pros:

It does any kind of math for you, shows anniversary date when hired, keeps track of sick & vacation times, and gives tax info

Cons:

Using the TAB key to get to each box can be a chore. I have the same schedule everyday. There should be a way to put my hours in one day and have it copy for the other days. I have to individually punch in my hours for each day. Time consuming.

Comments: Content with the services it provided to me at that time, which was through my previous employer. Used about 1.6 years! (1y, 6m)

Pros:

Only used until upgraded to different provider/platform altogether!

Cons:

I never had a problem with this software, honestly. ESPECIALLY compared to some/other providers of the same functions/purpose.

Great software for small companies.

Comments: The overall software is great and easy to use; however, that seems to apply best to a small company with fewer than 100 employees.

Pros:

I liked the point-and-click functionality of the software.

Cons:

This software seems to be geared for smaller companies, whereas the company I was working for at the time of using Paychex Flex had over 500 employee

Comments: Paychex flex has really been a life saver, in helping me manage payroll easily, i would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to use it.

Pros:

Paychex flex is easy to organize everything in one location, and its very reliable, you can make changes to suit your needs.

Cons:

Its sometimes frustrating when you punch in or out, it will be great to have better access to clock in and out.

Good for medium sized businesses.

Extremely easy to use

Pros:

I love this app! I can quickly find my payroll information from a high level or I can drill down into the details. It is so easy to log into and find what I am looking for right away. I also like that our 401K information is also in this app so I do not have several apps for all my payroll information.

Cons:

Once in a while, I can't log into the app. I get the spinning wheel of death so I close out and try to relog in. Once I had to use the website because the app would not work at all but this has been minimal and I have been using this for over 2 years.
