Cons:

The Customer Service is really poor. I have been asking for this report that I used with the system that I used with the system I had used prior to Ceridian Dayforce.

Super powerful HRIS, but difficult to implement and maintain

4.0 last year

Pros:

Dayforce does everything we need it to do: payroll, tax calculations, workforce management, time and attendance, document management. It's an incredibly powerful platform for managing and serving our employee population, and integrates well with other software platforms and applications including ERPs.

Cons:

The implementation process required a level of resource commitment (both financial and personnel) that we weren't prepared for, so the timeline from kick-off to go-live had to be extended several times. The implementation ended up costing double what was budgeted, and took six more months than expected.

Great System for End Users (Employees)

4.0 3 months ago

Comments: Positive experience overall. We were previously using an HRIS that didn't display all of the information we needed and our employees were never able to view it, so using Dayforce has made our employee's experience with their information positive but also provided them with the autonomy they didn't previously have in our old system.

Pros:

It's very user friendly for the end user. I like how everything is housed in one HRIS and I am able to view all of the employee's information in one easy place. The data is visually easy to read and it's conveniently in one place.

Cons:

The reporting function. Creating reports from scratch isn't that simple for users who aren't familiar with how to create reports. I feel like this could be enhanced and simplified so that creating reports is easier. I also think the number of clicks it takes to do certain functions could be reduced by using shorthand or typing and having the system auto-populate information.

Some Difficulty

3.0 last month New

Pros:

I enjoy the ability to view and approve my team members' vacation requests.

Cons:

The user-experience is difficult. This may in part be due to our onboarding process, but we have had many struggles getting the system to work properly and understanding the various tools within the platform.

Dayforce is a highly intelligent system with large reporting capabilities

3.0 3 months ago

Pros:

The payroll system is intuitive and reports are robust.

Cons:

Implementation was incredibly long and the support ticket advisors are usually poorly trained. During implementation we had several different project managers due to turnover. Most of the advisors we have had directly from Ceridian have been so siloed they did not understand how their section of the system effected other systems. This has caused many issues down the line for us. I am still correcting things set up wrong during implementation.

A stand-out HR/Payroll interface

4.0 3 months ago

Comments: It's a fairly reliable system, but it does go offline more often than other systems in my experience. It helps my organization get things done and is consistently upgraded. One challenge is that reporting features change and we have to keep re-learning.

Pros:

It's one of the most sophisticated systems available and very configurable.

Cons:

The customer service model is lacking. The account rep assigned doesn't help with issues; they are more of a salesperson. Getting help from their ticketing system/help desk is hit or miss.

Good Product!

4.0 3 months ago

Comments: Really Good. The tech support is always available via phone when necessary.

Pros:

The variety of services provided within HCM

Cons:

The cost is somewhat high. I understand it does take a great deal to upkeep a software like this, though.

Great HCM for complex companies.

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: we feel very supported and solid from a platform and compliance perspective. They really have a deep bench of help.

Pros:

Integration options, both import, and exports. The platform is very stable and the R&D efforts are second to none.

Cons:

Lack of UDF in all areas. We see it in employee properties, but many object would benefit from the ability to add user-defined fields.

Comprehensive, user-friendly HCM software

4.0 2 months ago

Comments: While the product features and benefits are great, good support can make it a perfect HCM software. It helps with easier onboarding of new employees, managing health insurance contracts, payroll management, and time-tracking.

Pros:

- Improved productivity because of seamless integration - user friendly and not difficult to use - comprehensive reporting system from healthcare to salaries, and employee management

Cons:

- Managing remote workers and out-of-state or international employees is tough - depending on use, modules cost more - support can be an issue

Dayforce User/Admin 5+ years

4.0 last year

Comments: Our overall experience with Dayforce has been great, we have used it for 5+ years and don't plan on leaving anytime soon!

Pros:

I like that the system is very intuitive and has many modules that we use and connect. We used Dayforce for payroll, benefits, recruiting, performance, compensation, and so on. The system is very user friendly and easy to use. We also use Dayforce Wallet which is the on demand pay feature and is a huge sucess with our employees.

Cons:

We struggle occasionally with bugs within certain modules, specifically recruiting. When this happens it's very hard to complete tasks.

Good HCM Platform Overall

4.0 6 months ago

Comments: I had never used Dayforce as an end user prior to taking my current role as the Dayforce Administrator and there have definitely been more "good days" than "bad" with implementing and learning the entire platform.

Pros:

Dayforce is a robust system overall. I have only been using as an administrator for seven months and was able to quickly learn and become an SME is many different areas across the platform.

Cons:

WE have 5 separate business entities all under our one Dayforce platform and there are many config settings that are global, which creates issues for us when trying to customize to each entity.

Good product with a promising future.

5.0 7 months ago

Comments: Overall positive experience with Dayforce. The platform allows us to configure changes as needed without the ability to rely on Dayforce support. Dayforce Tax could use some improvement.

Pros:

The ability to configure changes within the application for our organization.

Cons:

Dayforce Tax Services does a poor job of partnering with clients. The system does not naturally respect tax jurisdiction reciprocity rules.

Dayforce Live customer since 2014

4.0 6 months ago

Comments: Having 3 countries live is hard but I wish we could do more for the simple items. For example, ROE in Canada, mainstream it instead of putting it in Payroll only.

Pros:

The live payroll information. Being able to see a moment in time pay check. No wait needed.

Cons:

The color, it's all white and it gets a little to bright. We need an option to switch to dark mode.

Comments: it has been great! I have enjoyed getting to learn about the program and it's abilities.

Empowering System

5.0 7 months ago

Comments: Overall, I believe Dayforce works well for our business. It has been key in propelling us forward and empowering our managers to have accountability and oversight of key information.

Pros:

The self service and ease of use. That integration with other platforms is possible, however a lot of HRIS needs as catered to through Dayforce itself.

Cons:

There are a lot of nuances to each individual business and sometimes this cant be catered to. If it is possible, then it usually comes with additional cost to the business.

Great HR solution for time, vacation monitoring and payroll

5.0 4 months ago

Pros:

Ease of use, everything is neatly labeled, and tailored for the customer. In Poland we have many rules where it comes to vacation, sick leaves and overtime pay etc etc. Clocking in and out is fast and reliable so there is no stress when you enter your work - as it should be. Dayforce also offers nice PoE Android tablets for clock in and clock out with physical RFID tag, very neat solution with simple WebGUI for users and HR

Cons:

I've been using it daily for almost 3 years now, and haven't had any major issues :)

Comments: Overall I enjoy Dayforce, it makes daily HR stuff easier

Pros:

The ease of use and constant updating to make the system better. they have a great conference with great sessions that help you level up your Dayforce knowledge and skills

Cons:

My frustrations don't really have anything to do with Dayforce program itself. More just keeping myself updated with changes and scope.

Frustration & Disappointment

1.0 last year

Pros:

I cannot think of a single thing that I like about Dayforce.

Cons:

Throughout our implementation process, persistent issues plagued our experience with Dayforce. Right from the start, we faced issues with faulty system configuration, including confidential data being accessible to lower level employees. We have been told by support personnel at Dayforce that our system is improperly configured. Our implementation manager failed to address concerns adequately and failed to conclude the professional relationship officially. Instead, we were left with a slew of unresolved issues and unanswered inquiries. Despite scheduled follow-up meetings, these sessions were repeatedly abandoned by the manager. Frustratingly, after weeks of unanswered emails and our futile attempts at problem-solving, we were told from our implementation manager that she had to get permission to charge more billable hours to us, and that was why she hadn't communicated with us in several weeks. Seven months post-implementation, our file feeds for benefits remain incomplete. Despite our immediate request following implementation, this crucial aspect of our system has yet to be fully operational. The persistent issues we face significantly hamper our productivity, particularly concerning our convoluted payroll setup. The payroll segment of Dayforce has demonstrated a lack of accountability, particularly evident in their response to our 401(k) compliance challenges, where they offered no satisfactory solutions and essentially shrugged off their responsibilities. We have given Dayforce several opportunities to rectify their errors, despite our profoundly disappointing experience. Even external stakeholders collaborating with us have expressed sheer astonishment at the abysmal quality of the system, citing unprecedented dissatisfaction in their professional interactions with other clients. Dayforce's performance has been deeply unsatisfactory, characterized by consistent lapses in competence and professionalism, leaving our organization in a state of perpetual frustration and disappointment as we face unresolved issues that directly impact our functionality and productivity.
