The only parser that does email scraping the right way

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: It is still a new piece of software that is yet building its complete functionality. What I have found out however is that support is extremely approachable and competent, and that when they promise something (i.e. introducing a new feature) they keep their promise. As the product matures, I see myself needing less and less input from support, but I hope they will retain the same open and friendly approach as before.

Pros:

Parsio is an "email first and foremost" type of parser, unlike other automations I have used that treat email like any other source of data, and subject it to the same restrictions as an ephemeral webhook call. What other email parsers do is queue all emails and once a message is processed, that's it - no chance to fix a mistake in the template, no chance to adapt if there is any error in the parsing procedure itself. If I didn't get the needed data the first time, it was lost forever. Parsio puts an end to that 'finality' and allows me to fix my templates at leisure. I no longer have to worry if an email that I am parsing will change its format. As soon as I see something is wrong with the parsed data, I can go back, analyze the problem, fix my scraping template and reprocess all failed messages. This is *so liberating*!

Cons:

As of the time of writing, Parsio itself has no ability to process the data it collects (e.g. format dates, numbers and currencies; perform conditional operations; add/reorder data within the csv/XML/JSON structure and so on) before passing it to other services. Perhaps those will come with time to make the users' job easier. The newly introduced functionality that allows parsing tables is still a bit rough around the edges.

Great, but not a free alternative to Mailparser

4.0 last month New

Comments: Mailparser recently discontinued its free plan and so I was looking for a low priced entry alternative and wanted to check out Parsio. I mistakenly thought it was 30 credits/mo which would have been sufficient but it's only 30 credits total. My needs are for simple email (not document) parsing, standardized emails from vacation rental platforms. Mailparser allows multiple steps of textual refinement whereas Parsio deals with a visual interface of the email and then offers minimal refinement. It separated my email from its attachment which, if document parsing were required, would be very helpful.

Pros:

I liked the interface and the ease of start up.

Cons:

The inability to easily refine parse results into different formats.

Not the greatest

3.0 2 months ago New

Comments: My overall experience with Parsio wasn't the greatest. I wasn't able to accomplish the task I was needing to get done.

Pros:

I can't exactly pinpoint anything that I would say that I liked about Parsio.

Cons:

The directions on how to parse emails wasn't fully clear. I was trying to set up a parse to capture web URL links from inside emails and I tried setting up the parse but I wasn't able to get the results that I was looking for.

Efficient Data Extraction

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Overall, my experience with Parsio has been highly positive. It has streamlined the data extraction process in my projects, allowing for quicker turnaround times and more accurate data handling. While there was a learning curve, especially during setup, the time saved in the long run more than made up for it. The tool is robust, reliable, and integrates well with other platforms, making it a valuable addition to our toolkit.

Pros:

What I liked most about Parsio is its ability to automatically extract structured data from various document types with high accuracy. The AI-driven parser handles even complex documents like PDFs, emails, and handwritten notes seamlessly, saving a lot of time and reducing manual errors.

Cons:

The downside of Parsio is that its setup can be a bit complex initially, especially if you're working with highly customized data extraction requirements. Additionally, while it handles most common document types well, it may require some tweaking for less standard formats or when dealing with very large files.

Excellent functionality combined with ease of use and more importantly, reliability.

5.0 10 months ago

Pros:

The overall ease of use and short time it took to set everything up. Email data extraction has got better over the years but many prove to be too unreliable in a production environment.

Cons:

I can't name any at the time or writing this.

Stop wasting time collecting data from your inbox

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: So far I am saving a few hours of data entry each month. The more I use it the more time I am saving, and getting some things done that I never did before. Automating data collection is fantastic.

Pros:

it is simple to use and just works. The UI is very clean and makes setting up the parsing SOOO easy and fast.

Cons:

I don't have any real complaints so far. it works well, the price is good, and I can even read PDF files. It does exactly what I expected it to, which I cant say for so many products.

Extraction power at your mailboxes

Comments: I wanted to automate reading my emails and extracting best possible data from various emails. Parsio made it easier. I added email templates in Parsio which automated the data extraction. Once the data was extracted, I use third party integration like Zapier to send data to my CRM.

Pros:

1. Ability to parse attachments 2. Ability to extract data from emails without complex rules 3. User is kept uptodate with the development of the product via frequent communication

Cons:

1. UI is not top-notch. 2. It is difficult for beginner to extract data from tables

Intuitive and powerful email parser

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall, I'm happy with Parsio. It's my first email parser, I had no idea how much I needed it. Everybody needs an email parser for repeating emails/newsletters, you just don't know it yet.

Pros:

I most enjoy how intuitive Parsio is to use. I've watched 2 short videos and in a few minutes I've been able to set up my first template. In addition, the customer support has been speedy and helpful.

Cons:

At the moment, it's more difficult to extract hyperlinks in emails. One needs to switch to view the HTML of the newsletter in order to be able to select the links. I am confident they will improve this in the future.

Very impressive parsing capabilities

5.0 10 months ago

Comments: Parsio is very reliable and accurate, a go-to tool for parsing documents.

Pros:

What we are most impressed with is it's OCR precision with even poor quality scanned documents and handwritten documents. Also, it's integration with other Apps, such as Google Sheets, is very easy to set up.

Cons:

The navigation in the user interface could be better.

Chevy's Review

5.0 last year

Pros:

What I liked most about Parsio is its powerful and versatile web data extraction capabilities. The ability to extract various types of data, such as text, images, links, and tables, with ease was highly impactful for my business needs. The product is incredibly user-friendly, with an intuitive interface and comprehensive documentation, making it easy to use even for those with limited technical expertise. Integrating Parsio into our existing business process was seamless, thanks to its well-documented API and flexible integration options, ensuring a smooth workflow and enhancing our data-driven decision-making.

Cons:

While Parsio is an excellent web data extraction tool, one aspect I found challenging was dealing with websites that heavily rely on complex JavaScript rendering. In some cases, extracting data from such websites required additional configuration and troubleshooting. Additionally, while Parsio offers a wide range of extraction options, I felt that certain advanced features, such as handling CAPTCHA or solving complex login scenarios, could be further developed to enhance its capabilities. Nonetheless, these minor limitations do not outweigh the overall positive experience and effectiveness of Parsio in web data extraction.

Quickly becoming a vital cog in our system

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

I've been using a few email parser tools, but Parsio is one of the easiest to use right out of the box. The video documentation is also helpful.

Cons:

I'm waiting for the team to release their complete guide to the HARO extraction workflow (it was shared, but I'm still not sure how to filter & automate after the data is parsed).

Cons:

I had to connect zapier to get my parsio data into slack. If this was direct, it would save a step, but not that big of a deal.

The tool every adult needs! Seriously, is not just for companies

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: So far it's been great, we are mending our accounting and we are using parsio to enrich our accounting data with the emails we receive from the bank from each transaction, and will definitely keep using this (even for personal use)

Pros:

You can do this to organize a lot of incoming data, like bank statements, investment, real state, etc... in an extremely easy manner. You just create a mailbox (one for each use case) then send there the emails that are repetitive where you need to extract data from, and once you've setup templates you an export all the data to Google sheets (or anywhere else) with extreme ease.

Cons:

Nothing i dislike so far, I had some trouble setting up REGEX to improve my templates and support was super quick to help me. I would say I'm looking forward to maybe more improvements, like allowing documents to be uploaded directly or maybe exposing the parsed data to an API.

The best Paraphraser site.

4.0 last year

Pros:

Parsio Email Parser impressed me with its seamless efficiency, streamlining my tasks effortlessly. It's a time-saving gem that simplifies my work, making it a standout feature.

Cons:

Parsio's Sandbox limitations in the upgrade plan were a drawback. The constrained payment structure for enhanced features like the SANDBOX seemed restrictive, limiting the potential of an otherwise promising tool.

Parsio review South Africa

Comments: So far, it's been a good experience. We've had no problems and were able to use the software as intended to extract data from documents.

Pros:

We like the fact that we can put in a lot of documents and extract only the information that is often hidden within any such document

Cons:

Not that I have observed that far, but I'm still busy evaluating the software

Ending the boring task of organizing emails

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Parsio flows. From the very first moment you feel you are using a software that is well built and easy to understand and use. I have no technical skills and some other softwares make me feel overwhelmed. But that does not happen with Parsio

Pros:

Parsio is a software that allows you to extract all the important information from your mails, so by forwarding mails to them and creating a template you can organize everything that is sent to you.

Cons:

I would like Parsio to have direct connection to google drive and pcloud so that I could upload the pdfs in the mails directly there without having to use another software.

Cons:

First-time use can be a little confusing, but very easy once you get the hang of it. That being said, their customer service helps with every step of the process.

Invest the Time

4.0 3 years ago

Comments: I'm a fairly new user and other than the aforementioned parse issue and some minor UX issues, this is a useful tool for reducing my accounting overhead. I'm sure I will eventually expand into more useful applications, but this alone helps me.

Pros:

This software is great for helping me automatically log my receipts. I make a lot of purchases and this offloads some work from some of my other automation apps to help keep costs low.

Cons:

It would be nice if I could tell it more general behavior. For example, I had an HTML table in my receipt and when a second row was added in a newer receipt, the parsing failed. It would have been nice if I could tell the software "This is a table, the first row will always be the headers and I want you to parse all subsequent rows the same way." I would also appreciate if things like the email date would be available through the API as I am using Pabbly to connect Parsio to QuickBooks.

Parsing of various tables within multiple PDF files.

5.0 8 months ago

Comments: Very pleasnt experience. Unfortunately, we are a small outfit with tight budget constraints so my use will be limited.

Pros:

The OCR extraction seemed accurate and on-point, which helped a lot to compile a merged dataset consisting of information from multiple PDF documents. Not only has it helped me to compile a dataset much quicker than having to manually capture data from hardcopy, but it also avoids potential entry errors.

Cons:

I do not think I scratched the surface of Parsio's capabilities, and my tasks were very rudimentary, which Parsio executed well. Due to the fact that I did not "deep dive" I could not find anything to fault.
