MIcrosoft Outlook Review

5.0 10 months ago

Comments: Excellent experience overall. Besides some configuration issue, the program works very well and it brings several useful features.

Pros:

The interface. Its easy to user, clear and you have all important info at glance. I like the layout and the button styles as well.

Cons:

It hangs. Now less than before but in the last years Outlook was having troubles in handling large quantity of data. With the cloud service its much better (no more psts) but now it hangs when facing poor network performances.

horrible new outlook

1.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: infuriating, confusing, trying to be too helpful for its own good.

Pros:

not much. it is confusing to find what you're looking for. overly organized in a not helpful way.

Cons:

The organization, the way it focuses on what IT thinks is important. how difficult it is find anything you're looking for. It is the WORST EMAIL I'VE EVER USED. AND YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT!!!! OMG HORRIBLE.

Comments: Outlook is great for all email services, its quick and is very useful for all calendar scheduling actions

Pros:

Outlook is the default email client and is easy to use for all email related Servies. Syncs quickly as soon as you are connected to the internet. Also setting emails rules is pretty easy for example to redirect emails from a particular sender to a folder

Cons:

Outlook search needs to be more refined as the search results are not always very accurate

Cons:

Not always the most simple to set up multiple accounts. However once set up very easy to manage. Just need time and patience to ensure the intinal set up is done correctly

Outlook is still the best

5.0 last month New

Comments: Couldn't imagine doing business without it!

Pros:

Outlook just keeps getting better - I hope the younger generation is able to utilize it because it is so much more powerful than other email tools. The newest version has some great improvements.

Cons:

It has so many features, most users don't know how to use them. There is a lot to learn.

Microsoft Outlook is a must have in the workplace

4.0 5 months ago

Comments: I have used Oulook in a professional setting for at least 20 years and also on my personal email home accounts. It is generally pretty intuitive and easy to use with many features.

Pros:

I like the colored flag feature as it helps me keep my projects organized, and of course the ease of emailing and standard ooo work features and signatures are easy and a must for the office.

Cons:

I have found the last 3 years or so the calendar function is a bit flaky. I will shutdown my computer and all calendars will be wiped out the next day and I'll have to add them all again and it frequently freezes when opening calendar. Not sure if it is due to Teams link at work or not but they are both Microsoft products so you think it would not do that.

The most dependable email solution out there

5.0 5 months ago

Comments: Excellent, from day one it has been a key and pivotal tool for communication and productivity. The new addition to adding a thumbs up to an email you've read is really helpful rather than replying with a thank you.

Pros:

Integration across the Microsoft 365 suite of apps. In particular the advances made between this working in harmony with MS Teams has improved productivity.

Cons:

The browser version can sometimes not provide the same notifications as the desktop version. This could be down to user error, but I'd want a more seamless experience between the two without the need to alter any settings. Desktop and mobile app however sync brilliantly.

MS Outlook, is there even another option?

5.0 5 months ago

Comments: I've been using it forever, and don't see myself using anything else. Maybe Mozilla Thunderbird if I'm feeling nostalgic

Pros:

Easy to use, customize. straight forward. widely adopted among other businesses

Cons:

I am not a fan of the "new outlook" as it function more like the web application, but as a desktop application. Some features are not available on the new one (which I think they're working on adding hopefully)

good for backup

4.0 11 months ago

Comments: It is very reliable and I use it as a back up and for functions where I want to keep distinct and separate work streams. It comes with my subscription which I think is good value

Pros:

The platform is very stable and reliable. It comes within my standard subscription for the Microsoft package so I think it is reasonable value and I get updates whenever they are produced

Cons:

Microsoft has its own way of doing things and sometimes gets in the way of how I want to arrange things

MS Outlook, good all around email program for small to large companies

5.0 11 months ago

Comments: Overall, a very solid email and calendar software program that we rely on every day to keep our business running smoothly and for both internal and external communications.

Pros:

Ease of use and ability to share calendars of coworkers for better scheduling of meetings and finding available time for key people

Cons:

Sometimes it takes a little time to 'load' so that you can find emails when doing a search, but most always, its due to internet connection issues, or simply time to update software, so keep it updated for best performance.

Has all the features if not the most fun to use

4.0 7 months ago

Pros:

I like that it has all the features I need to manage email. I rarely thing, "If only it could..." It is a one stop for email, calendar, meetings and I trust what it shows me... almost all the time. Rarely has it misrepresented anything.

Cons:

It's not great to look at, and it has so many features, I get lost in the options. I wish it were smarter to know what I need and narrow my choices accordingly.

Microsoft Outlook works for me....

5.0 7 months ago

Comments: I would recommend Outlook to my friends, other businesses and my staff. It's an all in program not just great for emails but for any office task you want to complete.

Pros:

It's easy to setup, use, and train my staff to used. Plus you can access all the other products without leaving Outlook. You can access word, Excel, PowerPoint and many more features all from one location.

Cons:

I would love to have more free storage space. But otherwise the program it's self is great.

Exploring the Power of Microsoft Outlook

5.0 last year

Comments: I like using Microsoft Outlook, which I use on a daily basis. My team and I find it more convenient as everything we need is readily available. It just facilitates smooth communication.

Pros:

Outlook is available across multiple platforms (desktop, web, mobile), ensuring accessibility of emails and data across devices. Outlook has strong security features. The mailbox's filtering features make it possible to quickly and precisely retrieve particular emails, contacts, or data. The powerful calendar functionality in Outlook helps users stay organized and on top of their responsibilities by allowing simple scheduling, reminders, and task integration.

Cons:

Outlook's vast feature set may be too much for inexperienced or less tech-savvy users to handle, making the learning curve more difficult.

Microsoft Outlook, Looking out for ME

5.0 last year

Pros:

Microsoft Outlook is my storage archive for all things projects, productivity, and follow up. I receive hundreds if not thousands of emails each week and with all of the tools that are included with Outlook, I am able to quickly see which are the most important, and filter out those that can be looked at later, or those that I may not even need to open. This is a massive time saver for me and helps me to more productive work.

Cons:

I don't love the directory to add peoples' calendars to your view in outlook. It feels outdated and I feel it could be much cleaner and a bit easier to use. In particular, I don't like that you have to double click on the individual that you are choosing. Half of the time I find that this feature does not work the first time and I have to try again.
