The customer support was the worst I have ever experienced.

Sendgrid is a great tool for program driven emails.
Pros:
I admire SendGrid for its seamless setup process, allowing even novices to integrate sophisticated emailing capabilities into their applications swiftly. The clear and comprehensive documentation walks you through every step, and the intuitive API makes crafting and sending emails a breeze. Not to mention the extensive libraries in various languages, reducing development time and effort. Truly, its convenience and efficiency make it a preferred choice for developers looking to implement email services.
Cons:
The support seems to be slow to respond at times and/or not very effective. Also delivery is not the best in the industry. but still very good.
Unique Way to Build a Custom Campaign manager in Record Time
Comments: We've liked it thus far, we're working on rebranding and on the email side we're ready thanks to SendGrid.
Pros:
We like how there are code snippets, thorough documentation, and multiple-domain support (Something we lacked before)
Cons:
I'm fond of support that makes you wait for a solution when an issue arises, but errors and documentation is thorough enough it rarely happens.
Alternatives Considered: Mailchimp
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: We cannot disclose our previous provider, so we did switch but can't say. We chose SendGrid over Mailchimp because it's more for developers and custom solutions. MailChimp is more customer-end-user friendly.
Customer Service Is Terrible
Comments: As long as you don't have an issue and need CS their tech works great and have a good value proposition. When I can find another company with a similar value proposition and even decent customer service I will switch.
Pros:
They present a good value and a dependable product
Cons:
Customer service is terrible. It used to be pretty good. They have made getting service more difficult, and when you use the chat they try to redirect you away. So when you chat you get in a queue and they text you when you are next. I get a text go to the chat and it says >1 Minute. I stay on for 3-5 minutes no one is there, I go back to what I am doing and when I go back the chat closed. Do it all over again, and this time within a minute someone gets on. I message 7 times my question and issue, 10 minutes go by before I get an answer. The whole process is terrible and purposefully by design treats their paying customer like trash. You don't matter, your time doesn't matter, and in fact you are an idiot for not figuring out the issue on your own. Even when my question/issue was something ONLY they can do. I do not have the ability to increase subusers, only they do. I wish I could say that this is a SendGrid issue, almost every business has rearranged their CS to serve employees, which usually is at the expense of those who pay to make the whole operation work.
Alternatives Considered: SparkPost
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: I also use Twilio, seemed like a reasonable thing to use both services.
Automated Emails With Ease
Comments: It's quick, fast and efficient and gets the job done. Very straight forward and easy to incorporate into any business with an online presence.
Pros:
The ease of use and integration for automated emails
Cons:
Not as much versatility in templates as I would like
SendGrid is one of my favorite email platforms.
Comments: Sendgrid lives up to its reputation as a market leader for email. Be it marketing, authentication and transactional emails. It provides a plethora of options and functionality that meet most business needs.
Pros:
The fact I use sendgrid for transactional emails says a lot. The api intergration is a breeze, as are all of its parameters available. The email monitor tools as well as the disposable email detection have proven particularly useful. Third party intergration is easy with the likes of Firebase, FaunaDB and node cloud functions.
Cons:
There isn't any particular thing I have a disliking for in all honesty.
Alternatives Considered: MailerLite
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: The api was more approachable compared to some other services on the market. With emphasis on transactional email.
SendGrid is our #1 email sender for newsletters and outbound
Comments: We use SendGrid for newsletter and outbound sequences and our overall experience is positive. It serves its purpose, while some of the functionalities could be improved.
Pros:
I like the ability to send single newsletters, or automations. I like the segmentation of the contact lists. I like the interface and user friendliness. I like the foreign IP address for risk free outbound initiatives.
Cons:
I would invite the possibility to merge contact lists. I would also invite more intuitive set up of the automations. I would love better analytics with the automations.
Effective and affordable
Comments: We have used SendGrid for transactional emails for over ten years. It works. It’s simple. It’s affordable.
Pros:
SendGrid is straightforward and does what we need it to do for an affordable price.
Cons:
SendGrid is not complex enough for out marketing email needs.
Alternatives Considered: Mailchimp
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: I chose SendGrid because its functions as we need it to and it’s affordable for a small startup.

Fantastic solution for transactional emails
Pros:
SendGrid is one of the best solutions for me in the transactional email service because it's easy to start using, the free version is generous and the more affordable paid version isn't bad.
Cons:
I stopped using it simply because I found another even simpler solution, with lower prices and excellent support. Other than that I would continue to use it.

Excellent, reliable - I recommend; using for years pre-Twilio
Pros:
Reliable, excellent delivery rates, clean API - I like 'em. Have used for years including Pre-Twilio acquisition, and still good service.
Cons:
No complaints here. Not sure what to write.
Alternatives Considered: Mailgun
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: We use both - for different reasons / types - both great products and no wrong answer.

Sendgrid'e Email API has solved our problems in email campaigns
Comments: In addition to having their emails filtered as spam, sales representatives were unable to monitor their recipients' actions when sending them via their email client. Our problem was fixed via Sendgrid's email API.
Pros:
Integrating with the email API is a breeze. When compared to other mass email service providers, we have seen that SendGrid consistently produces the highest interaction rates. The ability to automatically retry sent emails is a good bonus.
Cons:
There is no consistency in the percentages of emails opened or clicked. There is currently no mechanism to block measurements that originate from email service provider bots.
An excellent platform for email marketing experience.
Comments: As an excellent, I recommend it for beginners as a start.
Pros:
An excellent platform, especially for beginners. It gives free trial packages for life, 100 emails per day, and it has an SMTP feature that can be linked with a programEmails can be tracked and Follow Up can be doneAnd accurate analyzes through development. There are many advantages, and it is possible to make an html form to put it on a landing page or your site to put people in a mailing list for a fee.
Cons:
Yet countries in the world are banned in this company.
Using SendGrid As An SMTP Service (Integrating With Other Software)
Comments: Overall we're really happy with SendGrid and have been using them for years now with no thought of moving or going back to our old method (which was just sending all of our emails over our regular SMTP details, which came with lots of drawbacks and undelivered emails).
Pros:
We like how SendGrid provides us with a central platform which we can send emails to from our multiple other Platforms and have them all sent together from one Platform. It was also really useful for us to be able to purchase a Static IP Address just for ourselves, as this has increased both our reputation and the amount of our emails which are delivered now vs before we moved to SendGrid.
Cons:
The initial setup, getting a Static IP Address and learning about the reporting features took a little bit of time to get used to, however this is probably to be expected with this type of product and it did not take us too long. We also had to "warm up" the new Static IP Address which we purchased, which meant sending some emails over a Shared Pool IP Address for so many days but, again, this is probably to be expected to help with reputation etc.
A Great Email Marketing Software
Pros:
I like the customer communication features offered by SendGrid. It handles email marketing really well and SendGrid has all we need.
Cons:
Not a single complication with SendGrid.

Solid platform with a few drawbacks
Comments: For the price, I feel like SendGrid can definitely work for certain companies. It’s easy to setup and start using. If you rely heavily on campaign analytics, I’d look elsewhere.
Pros:
The user interface is fairly intuitive and easy to navigate. Template and list management tools are also nice.
Cons:
After SendGrid was acquired by Twilio, we saw a downgrade in service. Engagement analytics were not as reliable since many spam filters were showing as clicks. It made it hard to determine which campaigns were actually successful.

A perfect solution for transactional emails
Pros:
Effortlessly managed transactional emails with SendGrid, which we use as an extension to our CRM. This results in more reliable and efficient delivery of emails.
Cons:
Improving Sendgrid's User Experience While Sendgrid is a decent email service provider, it could offer a more intuitive user interface. Additionally, template management could be improved to make it easier to connect with others. Compared to its competitors, Sendgrid's editor could also use some work to make it more user-friendly.
Not the most intuitive platform
Comments: I found myself working with Sendgrid during a project I was supporting. Let’s say it makes me missing the tools I used before even more.
Pros:
It is definitely a reliable tool, and does what it is expected to do.
Cons:
Two different areas -legacy and the rest- make processes complicated
The definitive SMTP email sender
Pros:
Sendgrid is fantastic, it is easy to setup, it works well, it sends emails securely and avoids spam filters, it allows for in-depth reporting and logs of emails on the rare occasion they need to be reviewed because an email has not been delivered. We recommend this for all of our eCommerce customers and use it ourselves, we couldn't be happier.
Cons:
Previously it was hard to manage several customers under one login which was frustrating, but Sendgrid listened to the requests for this feature and implemented it a few years back, we are delighted with the product
My Experience With SendGrid - A Cool Tool For Email Marketing
Pros:
I like the forms automation features It comes with great email management and tracking capabilities The software makes lead tracking and management easy It is the best for email marketing
Cons:
With SendGrid, we have realized so many benefits and I have no issues to raise.
If you want your sanity, Stay away from Sendgrid!!
Comments: Zero customer service, I am currently migrating our emails off Sendgrid as we speak. 27 Hours of no communication on their support ticket that suspended our account. No reason was given. We send an average of 30,000 transaction emails per day, all of which are time sensitive (Receipts of payments, password resets, booking confirmations etc). Unforgivable behaviour.
Pros:
Was working reasonably well for us for the last 5 years
Cons:
After years of spending thousands of dollars a month we are suddenly and without warning, "temporarily" blocked from sending emails while the routinely check for spam activity.
Awesome transactional email service that increases delivery rate of emails
Pros:
It's works as advertised. It gets transactional emails delivered on time and decreases the chance of going to spam or junk folders. It also integrates with a lot of software. The free version is great.
Cons:
I wish they had better instructional videos and guides to help me with my specific use case or scenario. I had to do research on my own to complete my setup.
Great Bulk Emailing Tool
Comments: It still meets our needs at a great price!
Pros:
It is a great all in one tool for sending emails in bulk
Cons:
The dedicated IP address is only available on the Silver or higher tied
Emails Delivery Simplified
Pros:
Best tool to send emails and also keep track of them
Cons:
So far no cons. Its very easy to use and maintain.
Okay sending platform, below average support and UI
Comments: Moving forward, we'll be selecting a different product than SendGrid for our email needs.
Pros:
Decently straightforward set up documentation and successful implementation
Cons:
The support was very hit or miss, and usually a miss. It seems like they bring on a lot of folks who have no experience with email, so getting an answer outside of what is on their scripted responses can be challenging.

Ensures deliverability and effectiveness
Comments: Ovberall we are happy with Sendgrid - it does exactly what it advertises it should do.
Pros:
It's really easy to set up campaigns and schedule them ahead of time. Then you can just forget about them until you need to check the statistics.
Cons:
No downsides to using Sendgrid thus far.
Waste of time....
Comments: What a horrible experience. After signing up as a new business customer as part of a new marketing strategy my business implemented, SendGrid immediately suspended my account for no reason (after taking my personal information), and an agent then proceeded to tell me some magical 'vetting' system determined I wasn't eligible to use their service. After asking how an earth they could 'vet' me considering they haven't even obtained anything about my business they proceeded to tell me they can't tell me why and that their decision was final.Appalling service, I genuinely have no idea how these people even have customers to begin with if one can't even sign up....
Pros:
Absolutely nothing, couldn't even sign up...
Cons:
Everything, because they discriminate on who signs up to them, and give no explanation for suspending your account after taking your personal information.
